For those of you that think we went to the moon, I emplore you to spend the next several hours of your life reading the 5(or 6) parts of 'Wagging the
Moondoggie'.
Dave Mcgowan does an exhaustive job of destroying far too many of the "facts" of the Apollo missions. You may be able to find fault with some of his
points, but when you string them all together, it is nearly impossible to walk away a believer of the six visits.
My belief is that these missions served the dual purpose of smoke-screen for covert military space programs and to attempt to one-up the Russian space
program, of which until that point we were trailing significantly in actual achievements.
If you read the entire report, you probably wont be able to say much afterwards.

That site often goes down from too much traffic (due to its enormous popularity). A simple web search for 'wagging the moondoggie' will bring up
numerous sites + forums that have reposted at least some parts of his lengthly argument.
