This is what cracks me up-- the think tank called for authorities to:

to infiltrate conspiracy websites in an effort to "increase trust in the government".

Hey, all you paranoids, we are going to infiltrate your paranoid
conspiracy web sites so you can trust us more!

I want to know how much these people on the think tank make a year for
coming up with stuff like that.

Of course, if we (the truth and peace seeking people) ever came close to exposing a truth that might shatter the position of TPTB, they would take down these sites like child porn sites, or at least manipulate them..

The social hierarchy construction is that power. What can we citizens do to change anything? Take our swords and siege the white house or..

It would be very interesting to see 1000 years to the future to see where the weigh of our deeds pulls us.

The thing is with all the recent budget cuts, who are they going to be paying to infiltrate these sites and even if they do what effect are they going to have. They may even bring along a good argument once in a while. As long as they dont plan on closing these type of sites i have no problem with it.

If I was in government I would probably have people monitoring and contributing on these type of sites making sure my side of the argument is heard and trying to put a stop to lies and rumours. Wouldn't you?

Here is the way that I look at it.

If the govt cant control the internet already, I am very disappointed in my government.

Of all people, they should be on the ball. If they cant compete against people like us who come on here and spit some wisdom, then there is no hope for my nation.

How can the govt NOT already have total control over your internet, unless they are completely worthless in protecting this nation.

That said, THEY CANT. WE ARE TOO POWERFUL AS CITIZENS. THEY KNOW THIS. They are not organized, the people are organized. All it takes is one youtube video or twitter update to get things crackin. If they cancel that, we send messages via horseback, but it will get done. Our military are supposed to be there to protect America and her citizens. Not only Americas citizens, but citizens across theworld. We need to set an example to the world of how things SHOULD BE. Our military protects us, and so should the government. We have to get the corrupt ones out. Thats theonly way weas a nation will fix what we need to fix. It may just be all talk and no true truth to it because I said it, but thats ok. I know America needs a makeover. Who can argue with that? If our government doesnt start working with us, and working for the world as much as they can, than what good is the name America if you cant live up to it? We should know right now that everything we do here is as safe as it possibly can be, and free if you work hard enough for that freedom.

I could be wrong, they probably know everything and they are lying out the back of their teeth. As usual. Why do we let this happen? Why did the world let this happen? Where are our gurus? Our saviors? Our heros? Our leaders? Our brains? Oh well, lets keep trying. If our government cant protect our right to privacy and free will to do as we please and say, while at the same time keeping us informed of the real truth of things, conspiracy websites wouldnt be that busy.

And it took a think tank to get this caught up in whats going on, not good.

They know better than to attack conspiracy websites. Thats the ULTIMATE conspiracy. they know we always attack back. Thats why our citizens and our government are always on gridlock. Nobody wants war, we just need solutions. They could learn a lot from people on this website. It seems most of the time, they are never on par with this website.
We are always talking about how messed up they are.they are hardly ever talking about how messed up we are. Isnt that funny? Ok Im done.
Rant over.

Increase trust in the government?

Let's start with a few things the U.S. government could do to gain trust concerning 9/11:

• Release the security videos that captured the "Boeing 757" crash into the Pentagon. They were confiscated within an hour of the crash at multiple sites by "FBI agents". The FBI claims they didn't confiscate any videos. I analyzed all the available FBI reports from the Washington DC area and wrote up my findings some years ago.

• Provide serial numbers and photos of aircraft wreckage collected in New York, Shanksville, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon.

• Explain why there were mass hijacking exercises on 9/11, that included "sims", or simulated hijacked planes in the NORAD and FAA radar systems. The "sims" weren't shut down until well after 10:00 AM that morning -- after all 4 flights had crashed.

• Explain why the National Reconaissance Office (NRO), which is in charge of all the spy satellites, was having an exercise of a plane crashing into their building at 9:00 AM on 9/11. NRO is located next to Dulles airport, which is where Flight 77 took off AND is about 50 km from the Pentagon.

• And explain a few hundred other issues, with supporting evidence and documents, for issues that don't add up on 9/11.

Do that, and we can START to talk about gaining trust in the government.

The internet is proof that any sort of government meddling does not work. They can just come and get me and waterboard me. Whatever. Screw them. They will have no control over me no matter what sort of confinement they try to put me in. I'll never lift a finger against them either. I'm already free in my heart and in my mind no matter what they try so go ahead and try government NWO goons, it will have no effect on me whatesover.

The issue for me here is that this undermines true debate and skepticism. Already on these forums I am frequently called a "disinformation agent" because I point out flaws and sloppy thinking in yet another "true believer" scenario. The other day I pointed out, in detail, why some guy who now claims to have seen an alien could not possibly have been promoted to E-8 (Master Sgt.) after five or so years in the service, and some of the responses were of this variety:

"Ah, you can see the negative responses and that itself is very telling!"

Very telling of WHAT exactly??

Well, precisely nothing. Here I went into great and excruciating detail about why this was unlikely, useing my own experience within the military to show why, and the only response is to say, "Hmm, that is very telling!"

So what this news story is actually doing is debunking the skeptics in advance, kind of a pre-emptive strike on, oh, I dunno, denying ignorance.

I hav been suspicious that we, us, right here, right now are the government think tank, giving them all their nifty ideas.

"They say we're doing what now? Aha! Great idea!"

(For what though, for what exactly is it great? You must ask!)

This report sickens me

I just read the whole thing, too. It's 55 pages and available here:

www.demos.co.uk...

Far from sickening me, it made me laugh. It's not much more than a lightweight term paper. I used to write this kind of thing when I worked for a "Beltway Bandit" contracted to the Department of Defense--NAVSEA, if you want to know so you can concoct a conspiracy about it. (Let me interpret that for you so you don't have to look it up. NAVSEA is the Naval Sea Systems Command. They build and repair ships. And look into UFO reports to debunk them. No! Wait! That last statement is NOT TRUE, I swear! WHO forced me to type that!) They are mostly a complete waste of taxpayer money, but I have to say these guys have pretty well nailed the issue. I don't think their recommendations are possible, really. I don't know of anyone who has successfully taught "critical thinking skills" to humans, who will resist all such notions. Without naming ATS they cover many of the same conspiracies detailed on these pages from 9/11 to NWO, and a whole lot more (and a whole lot less: They don't claim to be comprehensive.) Particularly when juxtaposed together they show these conspiracies as the ravings of creative, but undisciplined minds who will believe anything and, far from denying ignorance, promote it.

I suspect this is a "Teaser Doc." That's when you contract to briefly explore an issue to see what the parameters are for $5-$10K. You then write up a short summary like this one, suggesting a larger contract, say $300K, might reveal even more great information. They have not said that explicitly here, so I can't be certain, but that's how it's done. Bravo for Demos. Good job!
