I have seen alot of people firing back in the forums, asking those they label "anti-american" to compare their countries alleged crimes to that of other countries.

America, you pride yourself on being the best at everything.. Good on you, seriously, patriotism and pride is a good thing!
But when you make mistakes you can't all of a sudden compare yourself to others. How are you going to keep being the best if you benchmark yourself against 'lesser' countries?
Now all of a sudden it's not only ok to make mistakes but also ok to let those mistakes continue because of others have done wrong?
You are like a big brother thumping his little brother and blaming him for hitting others. No other country WAS a threat to you.. you were not even attacked by another country.
The world knows your power America, you don't need flex your muscle.
In the end we all know family violence leads nowhere - your little brothers and sisters now grow in fear of you as you continue to attack and show no remorse for the comparitvely heavy pounding you are dishing out.

America the reason the world singles you out is because your actions effect ALL of us.

I want to finish by saying:

You already have children in this world whos only life experience is the war you have brought to their country, they do not care who was right and who was wrong or what your reasons are. They care that their mommy and daddy arnt around anymore and should they somehow manage to survive growing up under your attacks.. you can be damn sure that child is going to feel no reason to live. When that child has no reason to live he is not going to understand your reasons either. He is not going to understand you reasons for war when someone tell's him your country killed his mother and father and he is not going to understand your reasons when he blows himself up just to try and show you a fraction of the pain you have caused him in his life.
No matter your intentions your wars.. (yes they are wars, they are undecleared wars no need to pretty it up) these wars create HATE and hate can only lead to more hate and that means more suffering. The war doesnt end when you stop fighting it ends when the hate is overcome by reason. Give that child that becomes your enemy reason to stop hating you. Take the higher road and be the bigger country, let it go, stop the hate.

byteshertz,

Ehmmm....My country (The Netherlands) is the size of the average American backyard. We can afford to keep a neutral standpoint when somebody attacks the principles on which the "free world" is based. When America does this, the free world is more likely to fall...

America the reason the world singles you out is because your actions effect ALL of us.

Both good and bad.

these wars create HATE and hate can only lead to more hate and that means more suffering.

Conflict of ideology creates war....so letting go of your ideology would solve the conflict? Somehow that doesn't do it for me.

Just saying, S+F though...

Hey Canuk! No worries mate. You're as much American as those from Brazil.

...at least with regards to verbiage common in any encyclopedia. Going from one town to another within Canada is traveling from America to America.

"America" is not a country in itself, it is two continents. Some people colloquially use "Amerika" for the union of 50 sovereign republics which predominantly (49/50) inhabit North America; although, just because they're within the union doesn't mean they run the gambit with that "America" label.

Believe me, there's plenty of room for the Canuks, the Mexicans, Peruvians and even the Venezuelans! Let's not allow our minds to focus upon a single race, a single language, a single religion, or a single geographical location. Let's be multi-geographical after all!

Wait so you are saying we should go up against a country with equal military power? Hmm well it seems that they are all pretty much our allies.... We are the world police... That is one thing you little "know it alls" never EVER remember!!! We defend the underdog, and it just so happens the countries that screw up with world agreements and what not are smaller countries with retards running them. We would go to bat for ANY country in the world if they were being done wrong. [Snip]

We are a nation that thrives on wars, yes this is true. But there are so many dictators out there doing their own people wrong!!! You think the war in Iraq is wrong? Yea they had nothing to do with 9/11 but at the same time you need to do some research on Sadam. And no I don't mean when we used to fund him... Look at the horrible things he has done to his OWN countrymen and women. I swear some people need to get a clue.

We the people have a right to criticise our country. Given the role of the US in the world arena the world has a right to criticise America. Criticism of a superpower comes with democracy.

Sir at least go back and read my post. I will give you the undeserved complement of assuming that you could not have read it.

For your information I wrote "we the people" as I have american citizenship and a few others. As I have written upteen times America is a great counrty that has given the world a lot in its short life. Perhaps as a Brit I am a bit more wary of the Blind Patriotism that you clearly espouse.

Don't get me started on what is wrong with Britain (where I live) or the internet may grind to a halt

I also currently live in Britian at an RAF installation. And yea both our countries have it's problems. I did read your post. And I am not blind. I have seen first hand us supplying aid and helping the less fortunate in Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Quatar, Kuwait, Haiti, Gerogia. So if that is blind patriotism then I guess I am guilty.

I didn't mean for my post to be a type of insult to you btw. I could tell that you were not bashing the US.

No - where did that come from? I don't agree with war for any reason.

Hmm well it seems that they are all pretty much our allies....

Dono where this is going but go slap china on the back of the head and see what happens.

We are the world police...

I dont remember giving America permission to be in control of me or even my country for that matter. America appointed its self "world police" people sought aid from the biggest fattest country of the world, you all patted yourself on the back for it and now you expect to be able to dish out orders and fight wars and take the resources you want because you are the "world police"? Talk about not reading the fine print. That kind approach is exactly what has distorted and corrupted America and will bring it to it's knees.

We stand up for the little guys getting pushed around.

You stand on the little guys and helpt them push each other around

You want to take over a country? No!!! If you choose to do so you will see America there. That is one thing you little "know it alls" never EVER remember!!!

Yeah America will be there to supply weapons to both sides, place bets with all countries and walk away with a win all round when they find out its snake eyes.

We defend the underdog, and it just so happens the countries that screw up with world agreements and what not are smaller countries with retards running them.

We would go to bat for ANY country in the world if they were being done wrong. That is what you ignorant anti-American tards don't get or understand.

And who goes to bat when your country does wrong?

We are a nation that thrives on wars, yes this is true. But there are so many dictators out there doing their own people wrong!!!

Agreed, but you have people in your country that are being done wrong by your government, why not fix that first.

You think the war in Iraq is wrong? Yea they had nothing to do with 9/11 but at the same time you need to do some research on Sadam. And no I don't mean when we used to fund him... Look at the horrible things he has done to his OWN countrymen and women. I swear some people need to get a clue.

Congratulations you killed a bad guy who kills innocent people, how many innocent people did you need to kill that one man? Do you really believe with the size of your military budget, not even including your blackops budget and all the technology America has that they could not get close enough to kill one man? America toots it's own horn so much and then all of a sudden you dont have the technology? If America really wanted Saddam dead immediatly it would be over before dinner time and would be a 1 min clip on the news before the war even began.

History lesson: Most of the world was fighting long before the US got involved in WW2, many other countries have also joined you in fighting your current wars but have pulled our after realising they are fighting a battle that can not be won because it has no enemy or bounds.

Doing good things does not give you the right to bad things and how about Katrina, your borders, your streets? For patriots you dont seem to care about your fellow countrymen very much as you dedicate resources that could be used to save their lives to interfering in other countries;
America does it for it's own interests not anyone elses. You can try and pretty up the picture all you want but the fact is you are taking innocent lives and claim it is to save innocent live - sorry on behalf of myself and the rest of the world for not understanding your logic.

I have a degree in world history... I didn't say that other countries weren't fighting in WWII. Then it wouldn't be called World War II....

How are we taking innocent lives?? 98% of the time they shoot at us first!! We are NOT allowed to engage unless they engage us or they are engaging civilians... You don't know the ROE for Iraq/Afghanistan so don't talk like you know what is going on right now because you don't.

And yea we do things all over the world to help ourselves out. Why would we just do it out of the kindness of our hearts? Other countries won't. We knock out 2 birds with 1 stone by helping other countries out. We get what we want and they get (for the most part) what they want.

And you can try and take my pretty picture and smear black paint all over it to make it ugly as possible but atleast someone somewhere will think of it as a thing of beauty. You having been reading too much propaganda my friend...

Why would we slap China on the back of the head? Makes no sense....

We didn't need permission to help out other countries.... Nobody else will do it because they are too scared to get involved in the world.

When our country goes wrong nobody will because they are too scared to help people out when in need. WE give the aid to countries and supply their military with our old equipment. We are all over the world making sure nobody is making unfair moves on anyone else. While the other countries sit back and relax because they know America will help them out....

The military is not responsible for fixing America... We defend her from foreign and domestic enemies looking to overthrow and assassinate our leaders....

It is kind of hard to get close to one man when he is hiding in a hole in the middle of the desert.... Or in the mountains.... It is not like we have a GPS locator on everyone......

Sadam palace was bombed in the shock and awe campain. He obviously was tipped off... probably by CNN. And even if we did just kill Sadam one of his brothers or other members would have taken his place. We went to IRaq to remove the regime not just Sadam. You are just showing how much you really know about these wars....

I dont think the vietnamese attacked us first. Nor the Columbians, the Serbs, the philipinos. We dont "go to bat", we destroy fledgling democracies and install dictators who cater to our corporate gain. People like saddam, suharto, pinochet, papa doc and baby doc. We armed and trained bin laden and his mujahideen, hailing them as the greatest freedom fighters in the world.
In WW2 we were giving steel and oil to both sides, and several groups, such as the bush family continued to supply the axis even after we entered the war.... and then we elect their descendent president!

We installed banana republics in south america and diamond republics in africa, and continue to destabilize their countries so we can use them as our personal sweat shops and natural resource bins.

I can tell you that the veterans know more than you guys do. Also the guy who posted all the "stats" I guarantee NONE of those can be 100% confirmed... and as for civilian deaths, yea it happens sometimes. But WW1 and WW2 had A LOT more civilian deaths. These two wars have had the fewest civilian deaths of any major war lasting over a year..... Do better research

When that child has no reason to live he is not going to understand your reasons either. He is not going to understand you reasons for war when someone tell's him your country killed his mother and father and he is not going to understand your reasons when he blows himself up just to try and show you a fraction of the pain you have caused him in his life.

Our military industrial complex and big oil run our government. They need a perpetual enemy now that the Russians stopped being the USSR. This is one of the main points of this war. We will always now have an excuse to keep throwing away our tax dollars so the ones that supply the weapons will be guaranteed to keep supplying weapons. This is the reason for the atrocities in Iraq. They want a real terror attack instead of another false flag. They need Americans to believe they are not safe. This is how Hilter did it and this is also how we are doing it.

Its not going to stop. Just like every empire that loses its way it will not stop until it collapses on its own or someone kicks our ass.

America is not what she used to be. All other countries need to come to grips with this sad fact.

Its also not just our government that is the problem either. When this country re-elected Bush it should have been a sign to the world that most of the American people have lost there way too and are compliant.

America will either collapse, or destroy the world by either war or its gigantic multinational corporations choking it to death through pollution.

The world needs to sooner or later face this fact.
