Just saw this on CNN. Can't find the video yet, but I'm sure it will be up soon.

I am continually amazed at what American citizens have become. I am ashamed of my own country.

The game, dubbed "Alien Attack," featured a large painted image of a black man wearing a belt buckle with the presidential seal and holding a scroll labeled "Health Bill." Players could win prizes by hitting targets on the image’s head and heart.

Me too. I'm ashamed of the bleeding hearts crying a river over a carnival game. I'm ashamed of their hypocrisy. They never had a problem with offensive pictures or games directed at Bush, or calling the President a chimp.

I expected a post like this, but not so quickly. There is a huge difference between offensive pictures and mock killings.

You mean like the same ones on killing President Bush? I suppose those were just "good humor". I can never understand this. It was perfectly fine when people made fun of President Bush, internet games on killing him, ect. But when it comes to obama, "oh, no, you can't say or doing anything that could be taken as disrespectfull of him". Why not? He and his followers that thin skined?

No, that would be wrong too. I don't recall carnival games allowing kids to kill Bush though.

Shooting foam darts does not equal 'mock killings'. Play the game JFK-Reloaded sometime. It allows you to recreate the assassination of JFK if full 3d, blood and brains detail. That is a mock killing.

Oh the horror. Won't someone please think of the children.

Oh no, someone insulted Obama again......then we'll have to hear about respecting the office of the president.....you know, the things the dems didn't do. Now two wrongs don't make it a right, but wow, grow some skin, and maybe lead by example....might make a change even.

Great! Someone finally posted about this! I'm new here and I was going do do this story but I can't yet (I need 20 posts). I actually live in the area, I went to the Big Time this year (boring as always), and everbody I talked to thought it was funny! I honestly see nothing wrong with it, and when I saw it on the front page in the Easton Express Times yesterday, I was surprised when I heard the controversy over it. If our president wasn't a democrat (and black), you wouldn't be hearing about this right now. And the road to a Fascist NWO begins! The owner was pissed! He said he already destroyed the damn thing cuz he was so mad, and if that's all people are worried about nowadays, we're in trouble.

You make a lot of assumptions. Absolutely not, the ones of Bush were in "good humor."

I'm sorry you assumed I thought they were - or that I'm a 'thinned-skinned' follower

I will find like stories and/or video of Bush and post that those too, are unacceptable - in my own opinion, of course.

Okey, so we see what the game looks like( star to you minute2midnight ). And all I have to say is, so?? I thought the way the news story read, it was some shoot'em up game. It's no where near as bad as most of the anti-Bush things I've seen.

Wow. Like I said, I am continually amazed at what American citizens in this country have turned in to. THAT is what - or rather This is WHO -I am ashamed of.

You see, THIS - for ME - is not about Bush, Obama, conservative, liberal, left, right, insane, stupid, whatever. You can make it such if it makes you feel better. You can continue to scream and attack any mention of anything other than your particular party's isolated views. You can order me to leave the country my family has fought generations for - but know this is your anger, hatred and fear - not mine.

I wanted to hang my head and cry when I saw effigies of Bush burning in squares. I want to hang my head and cry at seeing children and adults playing mock presidential assassin. I come from a long line of military, and though it is just my opinion (of which we are all still entitled - I thought), I believe this kind of thing relative to ANY PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES - dead or alive - is totally inappropriate and speaks nothing of character.

You believe different, that's fine. You call me sophomoric names because I believe different, that's fine too. I guess it's no longer important, but I still believe in some degree of respect, honor, and patriotism and CIVILITY.

And know too, my family will still keep fighting - and display honor, pride and commitment - in spite of you and for you. Continue killing our presidents in effigy and teach our children to with games; burn our flag and tear down historical, offending landmarks - men and women have died to make sure you can.

I'm off my soapbox. Continue attacking and dividing...

Don't let the criticism get to you; of course you're entitled to your own opinion!
Also realize that this country was also founded on our forfathers' beliefs that we too should be able to express our opinion, no matter how 'offensive' or 'biased.'
My opinion is that the administration stopped listening to us long ago, and we were originally entitled to take control if this sort of thing happened, but the mindset of our forfathers' is practically extinct in this country, and so is the idea that we are ALL entitled to our own opinion (with due respect, lol).

Criticism doesn't bother me in the least, and I don't take personally (not much, anyway) things posted here or in any other forum - posters don't have any idea who I am, where I come from, my history, values, yada yada - they are responding to a single isolated idea, not to me personally. But it would be nice if that single idea could actually be explored and connected with other ideas and viewpoints - instead of immediately attacked on a personal level, judged and disregarded.

Yes, I think it sucks when people do the things I mentioned - for the reasons I stated, because of what it says about our mindset, and because of the message it sends to the rest of the world - but believe it or not, I would fully defend the right to do them. Just because we have to freedom to do whatever, doesn't mean we have to.

Personally, I am so pissed off at the corporate government system, the state of our politics/politicians and our ignorant sheeple mindset I can't stand it. This makes me ashamed too - we should be better than that. YES, we SHOULD be doing what our forefathers instructed us to do - and that is to take back our government - but that will never happen as long as we, the constituents, are fighting and hating each other.

The most important conspiracy there is right now is being played out right before our eyes, and we're doing all the work for them. Create so much tension, resentment and hatred between the two major parties that there's no chance of Americans coming together - 'cause if there's unity among the American people, the Corrupt American Government is in for a challenge. THIS is my anger.

Sorry, I veered off on another box - but one point being that - in my opinion - we are going backwards. Either we get our act together, regard each other with some degree of respect, and work together - against the system - or civil war may well break out among us. That would be a grand opportunity for TPTB to structure even more in their favor - it's a fact that all kinds of things get passed in times of crisis that would never get passed otherwise.

Maybe it's because I'm female, but I would much rather see an "effigy" of the capital explode (well, before 9/11 I would have, not so much now) than I would the representation of a single known (or unknown) human being being killed. It's just wrong (IMHO) We're not fighting against a single human being - we should be fighting something far bigger.

I would be delighted to see an "effigy" of a donkey and an elephant explode - provided they were cartoon effigies, of course
If you managed to get through all that, thanks for listening.
