News from the BBC today:

South Korea has launched its biggest-ever anti-submarine exercises, the military says, despite warnings of retaliation from the North.

Some 4,500 personnel are taking part in five days of drills in the Yellow Sea, near the disputed maritime border.

The South is making a show of strength amid continuing anger over the sinking of one of its warships in March.

Why?
Is South Korea sending the message "don't # with us"?

Yes let's see what happens.

I hope it does not kick off.

Nobody wants a full scale war in this region again

Let me venture a guess,

Kim will more then likely come out, and say that he's angry.
Then, threaten the world w/ the wrath of a billion emu's or something.

Gotta love sarcasm.

Nothing is going to happen. This is Kim's psychopathic, childish way of getting what he wants. It's worked for so long, why change. Sinking that ship was his attempt to feel out the rest of the world and discover just how far he could push. Just like a kid testing his parents. Now, let's hope some country, besides us as usual, steps up to play parent

The US and the South always conduct exercises. And once a year they have a HUGE one. This is nothing new, Kim knows this.

N Korea already responded before the precursor to these exercises, i.e. exercises in July, started.

They said they will wage a sacred war with nuclear weapons at any time necessary.
