I understand your theory regarding the "object" being a reflection of the light inside the room.
However, I still don't understand how you are saying "case closed" based on the photos you posted.
Would it be possible for you to elaborate on that so that I can give your idea further consideration?

I didn't say case closed.
I said it was a done deal in my opinion,
which means it's a fake as far as I'm concerned.
But you are free to make your judgments

And it's not just on the photo analysis alone.
The link in the OP and one of the links I posted
show a discrepancy in WHO is taking credit
for the photo. Which draws suspicion on
where the original pic came from. And might
also account for who used effects to make
it appear more elaborate than it actually is.
Do I have absolute proof that this is a hoax?
No I do not. All I'm saying is that I have given
plenty of evidence to prove how this pic COULD
HAVE been produced and even found a similar
light source that could have been used in
the scheme. You are free to make your own
judgments and I urge all of you to do the same.

There is also some more evidence in the photo
that I found but didn't post cuz I felt it unnecessary.

The pics of the rooftops of the resort buildings on the
travel websites show a bright green color. In the pic
from the OP, the roofs have changed color and much darker
which would also lead me to believe that the pic was
taken from behind glass OR has a filter. There are also pixelation
anomalies in the OP pic. There are white reflection streaks
also on the roofs of some of those buildings. According
to the OP the pic was taken outside, my evidence
suggests otherwise which makes it a lie.

Don't know if anybody else noticed this:
but there is what appears to be a man
sitting on a bench just underneath the
resort logo over the doorway of the building
in the lower right corner. I found this when I zoomed
into the pic. This man sitting appears to be
looking in the direction of the photographer.
If there were lots of people outside screaming
about a UFO and people pointing up to the
sky about this event, I don't think this man
would have just been sitting there casually as if nothing
were happening.

There are just too many normalties about this
pic to make me think some great UFO had made itself
known at the time of this snapshot. And if everything
in the pic appears to be normal, then the only added
feature is the object in question. That means hoax.

But feel free to make your own judgments.

If you need me to post those zoomed in
pics to prove my points, I will but I just feel it
unnecessary to waste anymore time
on this hoax.

this is the only picture which was taken since it appeared only for 20 secs before it disappeared. it is not a hoax and the story were in major Malaysian newspapers.

Huh. This is an interesting follow-up...

Link

Tuaran OCPD Deputy Supt Suhaimi Wiro said police had spoken to workers at the resort as well as villagers near the coast but no one seemed to have seen or heard of the UFO.

well if the local Police and the workers at the resort
have no knowledge of this UFO event or pic, then it
would pretty much declare this a hoax. Which is
exactly what my evidence suggested too.

Mods I suggest moving this thread
to the hoax forum.

Yeah this is fake. Is clearly defined in some areas, but not so in others. They did a shabby job in painting / blending the clouds in. Also, the lighting is wrong on the "ship." And lastly, you can tell it's a fake because HE ONLY GOT ! PHOTO OF IT! You, me and any blind person in this persons spot would be snapping away like there's no tomorrow --taking VERY minimal effort to focus --a couple photos you'd make sure to put some effort in with the focus, but then you'd also just keep snapping away.

100% fake.

Boondock-saint.....

Thank you for your detailes response.

Now I understand exactly what you were saying, because I had previously misinterpreted your comments & I thought you were saying you had direct photo evidence via a wider field of view version of the photo in question.

I still think it's a hoax, but I'm leaning more towards CGI, rather than a reflection of a light inside a room.

Kind regards

Yup.....hoax.
So, how many are are in your resume now?

I really don't even think this is a hoax...even if that photo hasn't been edited, which I don't think it has, I would be more inclined to believe it was just a chance formation...I mean, there are a lot of clouds in the sky...one has gotta look like a disk at some point...there's probably no talk of it in the town because it lost form after a few minutes...

Yes, my first thought was a cloud...I've seen disk like clouds...not quite like that...are you saying clouds like that don't naturally form?

EDIT: Haha...ooops, I accidentally misspelled "disk"...fixed now...

Now that I look closer...it doesn't really look like a disk...more like a curved cup-like cloud...I can see that forming naturally...

Sort of like that, but without the top thingy...it clearly looks like that shape to me...

EDIT: Check out that 3rd picture, tell me you can't see that...

EDIT: Seems to me like it could be a cap cloud...even though it doesn't appear to be "capping" any mountain tops...

I do think really weird clouds do form
occasionally. But whether or not we think it is a cloud
is invalid due to the fact that the original OP story
said the object disappeared in 20 seconds and they
did not identify it as a cloud.

The only way ANY cloud in the world of this size
could disappear in 20 seconds is to be sucked
into a black hole. And what do you think the odds
are of :

an odd cloud formation forming

AND

only lasting 20 seconds

AND

sucked into a black hole

AND

getting a high quality pic of it

all in a matter of less than a minute.
I'd say the odds for that happening
are next to nil.

Sorry but I don't fly with the cloud story

no offense to anyone

It may be a mixture of both.

The photographer could have been in his room
taking pics through the glass and when he
reviewed the pics saw the light reflected
in the pic and then used CGI to enhance
the UFO further, giving it color, etc...

edited to say: you're welcome

I'm not joking around, I actually think it's a cloud. Please see my last post with updated pictures. Do you think it could be a cap cloud?

Boondock, just to play the devil's advocate--by your reasoning it couldn't be CGI either because the witnesses said they saw it. They're debating what it is in the photograph, regardless of the hearsay backstory.
