what if It Hits The Fan and has ATS ramifications?

I have a couple takes on the idea.

What if something was revealed here and the government shuts down ATS?

Or what if the killswitch is thrown all together, regardless of ATS...What do YOU do?

How do you know what the samhill is going on?

Left without an Internet, how well are you connected to the rest of the world, your country, your state, your town, your street, your neighbor, your family, yourself?

The easy answer is to create a back up of all the files, and then move ATS operations to another country. If it was run from somewhere say... Iran... then the US would have no right to shut ATS down.

I am pretty sure they don't care about ATS or anything posted or discussed here.

Not much more than a couple hundred children and lonely adults on here anyway.

Don't believe the wild numbers of members this site claims to have.

A simple look at the members list will show 99% of them have never ever posted even once.

This site is no better than Digg,or any of the other social network user generated sites.

Speak for yourself, friend. There is a better collection of citizen journalists, teachers, scientists, and other kinds of skilled and intelligent specialties represented here than just about anyplace.

People here are all different, but we are united for our desire for answers, and truth. Even honor has its place here, and that's not something every site can say.
We all speak our minds, a true privilege. Sorry it doesn't mean a lot to you, but hey, it's only a couple hundred kids and lonely adults. Right?

There happen to be some very intelligent people on this site. Good people, people who want to help others, quit being such a hater. If some secret was revealed here, the government wouldn't shut it down.
They would simply call the person crazy or get a "expert" to discredit want was revealed.

Remember, the MSM has already implanted the idea people who post here are crazy. The general public will just assume the person was crazy.

Much easier than shutting down the internet. Besides, the internet is a very useful tool to monitor the masses.

You may be right but I personally just regularly trolled for years before registering.
Remember our kind are paranoid, so I would imagine 99% of our users are still unregistered.
And hey I’m old but I’m not lonely and only wish I were a kid!
If I were a kid with the knowledge I have now, I’d be ruling the world. or at least my neighborhood.

What i don't get is why TPTB did not kill the internet a long time ago because they are the main casualty as things come out the the zionist media and politicians have no control over.

Sorry, but that's the truth.

Well, the way I see it is this:

We built the internet, because we didn't have one. We thought it would be neato. Turned out, we were right.

In fact, it's so neato, that if something happens to this one, we'll build another one.

That said, the fact that we were capable of building it before we had it, indicates that we were doing alright before we had it.

No internet... hmmm. Could actually be a good thing, depending on your perspective. I'd be out of work, but parenting would get a little easier...

OK, maybe not quite like oneolddude says, but I do think ATS as a group has an inflated opinion of itself. There may be a few glimmers of truth that poke out amongst the craziness posted here, but it would be pretty hard to determine just what those were. Really, how many New World Order, Illuminati, Masonic, UFO, CIA conspirarcies can you take in one place? They ought to just hand out the tin foil hats at the door. Intelligence agencies may very well monitor this site. It would be pretty light duty. but I doubt they are worried about an organized opposition forming here.

I am guessing that ham and CB radio will make a resurgence. It may be a while until voice recognition databases are suited to capture and id anonymous speakers, and given a shtf scenario, depending on how tptb act (anything other than frightened and ashamed), then do you really want to be logging on and identifying yourself as a current enemy noncombatant, or otherwise? Radio may not be as entertaining as a cell phone or computer, but it has it's advantages.
