Not sure what they are doing now but it seems a cable has gotten tangled around the pipe and they are cutting it with a saw attachment on Enterprise - ROV 1. Skimming the pipe too

Grabbed this:

The classic……… “ Awww crap” moment.


That pipe is coming out of the bottom of the riser that is going to the ship enterprise at the surface. It is the pipe inside the riser that they use to circulate methanol, and drilling mud. The big white thing that the pipe comes out of is the bottom of the riser that is suppose to clamp onto where the oil is currently coming out of.

Down to only a few cameras now, I guess comes the next phase of the cover up, where they show the oil stopping and white prestine beaches

Great post. When I saw it, it looked like it was cutting into the pipe. What's that all about? Finally got the saw out.

Enterprise ROV2 has just shown them cutting through a big pipe too.... what was that part of??? Well confusing!? (pardon the pun!)

Wish I knew what the hell I was watching?! What's happening on Enterprise ROV 1?? It's 09.14 in the UK, so you guys are probably in bed, and I don't know how to save a screen shot.

I feel very alone on here! Wake up folks, someone tell me what's happening on Enterprise ROV1 - has there been a blow out ???

Am here mate but dont have a clue whats going on. Trying to buld a short article about flow rates and youtube has also gone up the spout. Its hard at the moment to find a video on youtube of the actual flow and all my video's are currently unavailable

I just said on another thread there is oil coming out from under the bop it was on camera nine but now that camera is moving around and not showing it saw it last night and this morning so if they cap this you just know whats going to happen.

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me... The 'oil' seems to be shooting downwards, although I can't make out if its the BOP or somewhere else. The BOP is yellow isn't it?

All I know is, there's a lot of crap being released via Enterprise 1 camera and they are looking up at some clogged up brown stuff. When they pan away its seemingly leaking downwards... Can anyone see this?

Yes, it seemed like the oil was leaking out of the pipe below the boxed affair above it (BOP?). The area they seem to be now looking at is higher up, just under the 'bop' and that seems encrusted with brown gunk??

I am not sure if it's the bop all i can say looks like a box with a pipe going in the oil was coming from there shooting down.

That camera is moving around now not showing it anymore.

Where enterprise rov 1 scrapes off the gunk under what I assume is the BOP base, you can visibly see it re-forming, I don't think its my imagination, it seems to leak out and 'freeze'? What is it???

Its at 4800 odd feet, according to the rov feed, so it must be near the sea bed, and not near the ship

And whats the purpose/function of the "shiny silver disk" that seems to be embedded in the brown encrustation ?

It's not got a name on screen it says cage in top left corner but i know i saw oil leaking last night and this morning.

Yeah, I've seen it leaking this morning (UK GMT), too. I just need one of the ATS 'experts' who've been able to identify the objects on view, to confirm this is the base of the BOP, near where the riser comes out of the seabed.
