Uproar in Israel over top secret prisoner

JERUSALEM: Speculation was widespread in Israel last night over the identity of a mysterious prisoner being held for unspecified crimes in the maximum security Ayalon jail.

Dubbed ''Mister X'' by the Hebrew language news website Y-net, the man's identity has even been kept from his guards.

A measure of the severity of the crimes for which the man is being held is the fact that he is being housed in the cell that was built for Yigal Amir, the assassin of the former Israeli prime minister Yitzh

We can only speculate who "Mr. X" might be; An Israeli agent gone bad, a most wanted terrorist, Osama ben Laden, the milk man, maybe even the boogie man. But whoever it is, if Israel believes it's in it's best interest to keep it quiet, then that is their choice. But sure would be interesting to know

This is really interesting. Please someone keep us updated. Israel knows security and they will never release Mister X.

Well Osama was rumored to be in Iran...maybe they ran over and got him for us!

If it is legit, it'll probably turn out to be some alleged high ranking Iranian official who will just happen to be able to provide damning evidence regarding Iran's nuclear plans and capabilities. Essentially a green light for a military strike.

Perhaps it's some fellow claiming to be the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ!

Personally, I don't see what the uproar is. Israel does what ever it wants to anyway, so even if we knew who it was, it wouldn't matter, even if whomever is being jailed, is innocent.

Maybe it's Michael Jackson ?

Who knows. It will leak soon enough. Someone will talk.

According to Y-net, nobody knows who the man is and with what he has been charged. Nobody talks to him, nobody sees him, nobody visits him, nobody knows he is in jail.

There is confidentiality surrounding the detainee in wing 15 in every respect … I doubt even the jailers in charge of him know who he is.

As a wild guess only - someone in spying business. At least this level of security was with few spies before. But it never leaked then, so - who knows? Maybe it is cloned Ahmadinejad (oooh, i am sure i just helped create few conspiracy theories....) ?

LOL, somebody must know he's there, or we wouldn't have this story!

Somebody must bring the guy food, etc.....

Keeping his identity has worked, but, SOMEBODY knows he's there!

Did they ever account for everyone detained on the flotilla.

I always thought the operation was either a snatch and grab or an assassination job.

I have never bought into the reports that it was a "botched operation."

has anyone thought that just maybe
he is not there as a prisoner
but as a person in protective custody.
