Help ... How Did My Phone Take a Picture of Itself?

I'm thinking that the phone saw through the space-time continuum into an alternate universe and was able to snap a picture of that alternate universe. That picture could be worth millions of dollars. I'd call CERN right away.

This is impossible if the following is true:

No Mirrors
No other Camera

A camera cannot and will never be able to photograph itself

what would make it possible is a FIBRE OPTIC thread - what does hubby do for a living? That being said the quality would drop a lot, but the plate is badly distorted

No, but is was very strange. One could just xray another sensor to make a fake, so posting the pic would prove nothing.

So you’re not the radiographer who took the picture? Have you thought it might be a hoax that’s been passed on to you? In any case i will never believe that it is possible for a electronic device such as a phone, or camera, xray machine or what ever to take a picture of its self unless it has been designed in such a way that this is possible.

I was there, I installed the machine, I watched the xray get taken. I have no explanation. Just one of those things that defies science. I hate it when that happens.

come on people, really? obviously not possible. EASIEST thing to fake ever... he took a picture of a phone with his phone and said that the two are actually one. i could do that...

First things first all these people above need to go back to school and read ONLY the first couple pages in a physics book, taking a picture of the device that is taking the picture is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE, these people will probably even believe that if you spin yourself around fast enough you will see the back of your head

ATS decides what information is valid now apparently. In the old days the membership here would look at the thread and make their own decisions about what was a hoax and what wasn't, but now we don't have to worry about that anymore. It's censorship, in it's most subtle form, but no less nefarious. I've been looking through the 'Hoax' forum and I'm wondering who's idea this was and why, of all places, ATS implemented it in the first place. Pretty screwed up concept for a conspiracy forum.

No-one...YET, at least to my knowledge. When was this flagged as a HOAX?? I think it's rediculous based on the lack of anything solid.. thus far, BUT who claimed it a HOAX? I want links for this claim you give. I think the OP may believe these claims but was clowned into thinking something else. This story makes no sense.

EDIT: just noticed it was flagged as a HOAX. LOL weird, not sure where the evidence of that came from. I think it's a bogus claim BUT not sure it belongs as a HOAX forum yet. ?? LOL I love ATS.

If the camera took the photo of itself, the patterns on the seat would also be blurred due to the phone moving. the camera is supposed to be moving so all things would blur.
