Its been over 6 weeks since he started this experiment. I hope to get results soon.

Maybe the experiment was to see how we would react if the OP didn't return to tell us the results

Single blind experiments are subject to bias. Facts can't come out of such studies. Better do a randomized double blind study.
"....an experiment to prove a hypothesis I have concerning the attitudes and beliefs of people on this board."-- seems an observational (prevalence) study; because there is no intervention and thus not an experiment. Those are just my thoughts. My intention is not to discourage you, rather to provoke some thoughts before drawing any valid conclusion. Good luck.

According to his profile, the OP hasn't even logged on in a couple weeks. I'm thinking the experiment may have been abandoned

I think the experiment was to

a) see how many people would keep an eye on the thread

b) gauge how many people would miss the OP as he has not signed in

c) what type of ideas people would come up with for the subject of the
experiment.

Interesting social experiment to see who will post in here. Might be an experiment in abandonment. Or an experiment to see what ideas we come up with in regards to what the actual experiment is about. Or it could all be a load of kaka. I'm sufficiently bored enough to post on here so I guess we will have to wait and see what the outcome is. If there even is one. And at the end of the day the OP could just make up an answer as we don't know the specifics of the experiment.
