MSNBC has begun airing trailers for an upcoming documentary, which the network has titled “Rise Of The New Right”, that prominently features interview footage with Alex Jones.

The show, to be broadcast on June 16th, is presented by Hardball host Chris Matthews and will include segments of an interview Matthews conducted with Jones earlier this year in Austin, Texas.

“There’s a rising tide on the right voiced not just by extremists but by recruits from the neighborhood.” Matthews states in the trailer, which also features footage from Rand Paul’s victory speech after he won the Kentucky primary two weeks ago.

“The Tea Party is determined to take power – what does that mean for America?” Matthews continues, as the trailer cuts to Alex saying that America has fallen into deep tyranny.

“I’m Chris Matthews with a hard look at the rise of the new right” the MSNBC anchor states as the trailer ends.

The slick graphics include an image of the Gadsden flag. The iconic flag depicting a rattlesnake with the words “Don’t tread on me”, dates from around 1775 and was used by The United States Marine Corps as an early motto flag. Apparently MSNBC now think it’s an extremist right wing symbol.

I think 'Rise of the New Right' is not the correct term, I think we should call it 'Rise of the New Reich'!

These people are radical reactionaries. They will stop at nothing to keep their way of life. It will come to a point where they will realize their movement has not won over the majority and at that point they will force their will's upon us all through violent retaliation. Just look at the guy who flew his plane into the IRS building in Texas last year, or the guy who went to the Pentagon with a gun ready to do who knows what.

Yeah our government lies, like we don't all know that. But these people are dangerous, not Ron Paul or Alex Jones, but they inspire radicals. I like both of these guys, but they speak to an audience of paranoid schizophrenic lunatics who follow them like they are gods.

The Tea Party is a violent Nationalist, Right-wing populist, Christian fringe movement hell-bent on violent intimidation and racial purification.

Probably because they are extremists. Simple as that.

Shoot man, I'm an extremist and everyone tells me so. Our nation was started by treasonous, terroristic, and violent extremists who cast off their former government for what could be considered less of an insult than we experience today.

The main difference, is that we have cool toys and loads of work with less time to think.

As for what MSNBC thinks, who cares? The establishment has no interest in changing the status quo, especially since all media (or practically all) is owned by corporations that absolutely could not operate in the same manner if the government were seriously altered to that of a more Libertarian/Constitutional model.

Not surprising coming from an admitted socialist parasite.

How is this thread full of BS? I seperated my opinion from the OP so people can read the actual thread and if they so chose can read a post of mine seperate from the OP.

It's my opinion, just like calling me a parasite is your opinion.

Perhaps you could help balance it with some sanity then rather than more doses of quality American political swamp-water.

Just a thought man.

Since you designated the Tea Party as violent, why not submit proof?

Lets see the evidence you have to back up your claim

Alex Jones isn't extremist he's just a moron that can afford to buy radio time.

MSNBC and rest of media just makes up any old thing nowdays to feed the herd of sheep I guess.

But at least Alex gets some free p.r. so maybe some dolt buys one of his videos or something

Actually those words didnt preface your comment.

That being said, do you usually base your opinions on utter nonsense without any substantiating evidence?

Sometimes I like to follow the shephard.

Just kidding. Seriously though, I see the people on the new right as radical. Just look at these militia members, death threats to congress, and freaks waiving retarded signs at rallies. It looks like they just let out the mental hospitals for recess.

Odd, I see the same thing from people you would support. People with no intelligence, common sense, or financial knowledge.

Ever heard of something called the Constitution?

Since youre such a socialist, why not move to a nation whose economy better suits your needs?

Man, the discourse around ATS has gotten downright pathetic.

Squeaky, intellectually devoid, and trollish wheels get the grease I suppose.

Or maybe I will stay right here. You could always use a little opposition, or do you support a one party state?

Typical of you right-wing lunatics, you scream freedom but once someone challenges your beliefs you want them locked up, sent away or silenced. Oh so typical.

The "Tea Party" or what I know of them looks like a blatant rehash of past political agendas that are mainly right wing under the guise of promising something new or change. It is a nice charade for uber-christians to enslave our democracy.

Right wing? Far from it little boy.

I didnt say anything about silencing opposing opinions, I asked a mental midget why they dont move to some nation whose economic policies are more to their liking.

Finally some rational thinking has come to assist me in this crusade against ignorance.

The Tea Party is racist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islam phobic, and Christian zealots. They are for the constitution only when it comes to helping them push their agendas, but when they encounter anything that doesn't call for what they want they discard it.

I don't belong to any party but I sure would love to see our democracy done away with.

We are supposed to be a democratic republic but the only place republic lives any longer is the pledge of allegiance. Our republic has died long ago.

So I would love to see any group overthrow this government to restore the constitutional republic we once had.

This country needs a good coup d'état

Why do I have to leave? And by telling someone with opposing beliefs to leave is trying to silence opposition.

So typical you resort to name calling, trying to get me angry with your pathetic 'little boy' comment. You people sure make me laugh.
