Its always a good idea to look further back, but if you're gonna do so, get the facts right. Involvment in vietnam started during WWII. It was in the 50's that money and military advisors were sent in.

sigh... any particular reason you are using Barack's middle name as his name in your point? I'm sure you could reach just as effective a point without the political stab comparing Obama to Saddam Hussein...

That being said, I think you bring up an interesting coincidence. However, I don't think it is anything more than that. I am not sure if you are implying that Democrats somehow 'squeeze' the oil situations to lower the flow of oil thus preempting a war by their Republican counterparts.

With how much we rely on gasoline and how big international trade with gasoline is, there will be spills and shortages from time to time.

Republicans also tend to take a much tougher stance foreign policy wise with war and conflicts. It's just part of the platforms with the parties.

Using your logic, the Genocide's in both Bosnia and Rwanda began during Clinton's administration. The Genocide in Uganda got the beginning of tension in 1962 (JFK) and lasted through the 1960's (Johnson). All these President's are Democrats. Therefore Democrat presidents tend to make global tensions higher, therefore increasing the chances of Genocide occurring.

Obviously that statement is flawed.

If you want to see a trend then find a graph of demographics change and see if there's any real difference based on who's ostensibly in power. Another interesting graph would be racial roles in Hollywood movies == PTBs propaganda.
