yeah i was wondering why in the original youtube video they mention Venus but not Mercury.

Let's say it's not Mercury, which it probably is, and the object is heading towards the sun, who cares? What do you think some aliens are bombing the sun to make it explode and wipe us out?

You are most welcome to a little bit of 'truth'.

As I say, check out Jodrell Bank UK's report, they are connected!

I agree and am aware of the "blooming" effect that you speak of. My suggestion to you is to download the last hi-res image of this object from the COR2 camera taken April 22nd (stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov...) and compare this to known images of Venus or Mercury or any other planet in our solar system for that matter. This is MORE THAN ONE object...my guess is it's a Brown Dwarf with 4 or 5 orbiting moons/planets.

It's Mercury. The sensors on the heliospheric imager are very sensitive. A bright object causes a "blooming" effect on the sensor making bright objects look large because a group of pixels gets excited by overflow from the brightness. The same effect seen in LASCO images.

The NASA scientist probably didn't bother to actually check what you were talking about because they get swamped with ridiculous inquiries like yours every time a planet appears. They have better things to do.

Phage is right,
I just had stellarium open again,
and mercury it is.

It's WAYYYYY to big to be Mercury, besides...it's more than one object.

Are you for real?

If this were true, would'nt the effects be absolutley huge?

wait a sec...

in the first video i saw it sad that the light was getting brighter...so towards the camera

so for me it fits mercury path infront of our sun

how can you tell its more than an object?

haha 4 or 5 orbiting planets? umm no....but there was an interesting document coming straight from NASA in the 80's about some weird object then it was hush hush

If you download the image sequence videos on the website you will clearly see that something is orbiting this thing. The light signature changes cyclically...again, just my deduction.

Here's a question...How does one explain the Coronal Ejections?

Aren't these 'coronial ejections' just whats been said already?

With all due respect, there is a significant difference in the signature between a Coronal Ejection and the "blooming effect"

ie.

So what you are saying is there is a coronial ejection coming from a Red dwarf or its orbiting moons or planets?

Assuming you are correct, if they hit our Sun, could it create a nova/supernova?

Edit: I know very little on the subject, and I'm assuming that when someone said "trajectory towards" the sun that this means "on a collision course".

I don't necessarily personally believe that it WILL hit the Sun. I'm more inclined to believe that it will sling shot around the sun and through the middle of our solar system.
