I found this video while searching about the 7.2 earthquake in Baja California.

The Video Description says this was 45mins before the earthquake.

Anyone ever heard of these kind of cloud formations?

BTW Im not sure if I embedded the video right, So bare with me.

Here's the link incase it didnt;

Weird. If I didn't know they were clouds, I would have also thought they were mountains. Were you asking if these were related to the earthquake?

Oh no, I was just more curious if anyone has witnessed these type of clouds, and how they're formed.

But it does interest me that these clouds were forming before the quake, and that i've never seen them before.

Yeah i've seen those video's, but really didnt think these "liquid clouds" were the same thing since they didnt have the color effect.

Ok, these are quite peculiar clouds.

They appear to be cirrus clouds meaning they consist of ice crystals. It is possible that they were formed from water vapour being released from the ground, jut prior to the earthquake, but its more likely that they are just norml cirrus clouds. I think the sun catching on them give them a quite a spectacular appearance in this case, thats why they appear so unusual

Earthquake clouds dont necessarily have coloured effects. Its not the ground that is causing the colours, its the sunshine creating iridescence in the clouds. The only reason they appear with colours is because, they are forming.

I agree, when he zooms in you can see they are just normal cirrus clouds, however they seem to be pulling apart very unusually, like the air current / temperature maybe changed? Thoughts?
