GREAT. It is about time someone initiates some major movement against this unconstitutional piece of work. I sort of wish he would have been as motivated to do so earlier on during the passing of the patriot act and others, but I couldn't be happier now.
hopefully this actually makes it to the mainstream media!

I still don't get it...

Someone needs to explain to me how a healthcare system like the one in Australia, Canada, UK etc...,that ensures every single person in the US has a Hospital bed, a broken bone set, a visit to the GP & so on, is a bad thing?

Do I ave permission to laugh over your grave if you die in a waiting room because you didn't have any insurance? You yanks are just plain crazy!!

You don't understand the fact that our Government cannot force us to purchase health care?

I thought that would be self-explanatory.

As a card carrying member of the John Birch Society (jbs.org) Im ecstatic to see this bill! I am aware that it has a snowballs chance in hell but its nice to see the rape of our constitution get more coverage.

For those who don't understand why most Americans feel this way, I'll make it simple. We do not get denied medical treatment without health insurance. If I didn't have health insurance and I broke my arm, I can still go to the hospital and get it taken care of. There are already policies in place that allow for this. All this new Health Care bill has done is force us into something that most of us don't want.....You can keep the change. Ill keep my money, guns and rights.

First let me state that I am a huge fan of Mr. Paul. I dig his views and was quite upset that he was marginalized as a serious candidate during the debates. We are living through the impending crisis he predicted. Had the GOP mustered the gumption to select him as their candidate, he would have likely gotten my vote.

Having said that I must sadly report that it is highly likely this bill will gain no traction or die in committee.

While Paul's press secretary Jeff Deist has noted, "We don't kid ourselves about the chance of passage of a lot of these bills," some, like his groundbreaking term limits legislation, are recognized as "ahead of their time"

Souce of quote and list of legislation

The unfortunate reality is that while Mr. Paul has penned and co sponsored numerous bills yielding positive legislation, the current US political system is mired in divisive partisan vitriol.

Should he break away from the two party paradigm and run as Independent, I'm all in.

Well howdy. Finally, we have someone with courage that represents the sentiments of the people. I will also be voting for Mr. Paul. For the people that monitor this site for their respective "candidates"; take notice. You must be on this team if you want to effect change from the total stupidity that is "Washington". There would be so many good things accomplished if Mr. Paul has the support. My opinion is but one, however; I feel there are many with the same opinion. The task of educating the younger liberal minded types is daunting to say the least, but it must be explained to them how socialism is a death sentence. (as they have no real world experience yet) I personally have been to many other countries, and am also a military veteran. I can only comment on the things I have experienced in my life regarding oppression, and repression of other peoples in other countries. We have such a great nation here in the U.S. what with all our freedoms, and liberties. I would guess that most of the naysayers are not only very uninformed, but have probably never been out of their home state, let alone another third world country, so they aren't able to make an intelligent statement, or opinion regarding those issues. Mexico is a perfect example. Mexicans want to be HERE because ...... Why won't they fix their own country and it's problems ? Do you see where this is going ? I really hope Mr. Paul gets the support he needs to affect the badly needed changes to get back to the enforcement of the constitutional rights and liberties provided for us. Abolishment of the IRS as we know it; for example, Illegal immigration for another. Reversal of all of Pelosi's, Obama's, Reid's, (czars) et al; "legislation".
I have never witnessed such incompetence, and corruption in government as we have at this time. I am 58 years old, and am very aware of the other stupid politicians' blunders like Clinton, Nixon, Johnson, but this Obama is the King of idiocy.
And yep, I'm mad as hell !

Thank you for the opportunity to post.

You need to spend a few days in Canada, (or any other "socialized medicine" country) my friend, and talk to some folks there that have medical problems, and then come back to this great nation and post your comments. See my previous post.
If you haven't been there, then your comments have no real value, as you have no knowledge of their actual living conditions and their government run "programs".
Thanks.

I have.. and the Canadians I know are about 50/50 in support or against their own health care. But what YOU need to understand my friend.. is that this bill is NOT Socialized medicine.. it's Fascist medicine.. in which almost nothing has changed except not the Government gets health information from our doctors and we have to buy PRIVATE insurance.

So .. Canadian.. learn to read.

They are trying to take our voice, like back during the Revolutionary War, we didnt have a voice, because the goverment took it away from us. Now we are losing our voice in wheather we want the goverment ran health care, or something else. More and more things are being taken away from us, its not cool at all. How long before we have to fight again. At least one man is trying his best, Ron Paul is a good man, and I hope he can make this "End the Mandate" work. I'm losing faith in our Goverment and I'm looking more at the 2nd Amendment. Its our right and duty to over throw our goverment if it becomes too controlling or to Corrupted and to replace it with a better one. I just hope we dont pass the point where we cant do our duty and its to late to act.

More importantly, the sections that say every American has to have a RFID chip implanted in them and have a Federal ID card should be repealed also. The government wants nothing more than control every aspect of the general population.

We are free enough to be able to CHOOSE - you know, CHOICE - Decision Making, Right of Human Dignity... Freedom from Encroachment, from Exploitation, Free to Act Independantly...

I mention these items because essentially, the middle class now has had to have accepted one of the biggest tax increases in the History of America to help pay for those "Americans" - I say it in this light because you don't have to be an American to participate in such notable "American" programs such as Social Security, Welfare, and MedicAID.

REFERENCE Anchor Babies, and Work Visa

I say Tax Increase because Many middle class Americans have enjoyed Employer Based Health Insurance policies that the Government now is demanding a tax for, and is now reported to the I.R.S. - which will come out of the middle class' pockets...

I have the Right to the freedom of encroachment of LAZY people who do nothing but sit around, breed children that will follow thier parents example and live their lives accordingly, that do noything but get welfare, social security, commit insurance fraud in multiple forms, lie, steal, and manipulate to achieve survival.... WHY NOT GET OFF OF THIER ASZEZ AND FIND A JOB THEY CAN DO?

Why do I have to pay for them too?

Now do you get it Ozzie?

I tend to agree with this point. Mr Paul has displayed unusual character amongst a flock of yesses. I for one wish to see some HealthCare Reform - at the level of Doctors, Nurses, Hospitals, Ancillary Manufacturers, and Insurers - instead of at the easy to exploit customer...

Life and Death shouldn't be the responsibility of the victim, the injured, the terminal, the human... When time comes for those things to threaten their existance, which it does to every one of us as Humans. A caring and humane society should freely choose to provide sustenance towards all those participating in it's existance. However, it's when free loafers arrive and begin to manipulate, exploit, conive, and defraud the system that these things begin to fall apart. Couple that with the greed of Businesses that increase 'prices' at an unfair gain over the helpless and the innocent - things get much worse.

These are the things that have put American Health Care as it exists today in the jeopardy it is in.

It should however be noted that the American is nothing more than a cog in a machine that works on the blood of it's sons and daughters to dominate the rest of the World's inheritance... I Just wonder why... and how it had to get to this point?

yep.. HIPAA has been breeched with this illegal legislation, and it is indeed indicitive of Fascism.

America soon should legally become defined as a STATISM, instead of one of statism's inGREEDients, known as Capitalism.

STATISM, imho, is far worse than any oligarchy or monarchy could ever try to become...

STATISM, is far worse than fascism, as too, FASCISM is an inGREEDient of Statism...

America has surpassed the boundaries of either, and is well on it's way to becoming a STATIST ORGANIZATION, IN SUPPORT OF THE UNITED NATIONS STATIST AGENDA....

The thing is, if this WAS the kind of thing that they have in those countries, then there would probably be less opposition. But the fact is, that the bill they just passed is NOT like the type of thing they have in those countries. All this new bill does, in a nutshell, is force everyone to have medical insurance, whether they want to, or not. If it was true socialized medical coverage where everyone paid a fair tax to see that everyone was covered, well, that would be great IMO, but that isn't what we have. You definitely should read more about the bill.

To clarify this even further, and to validate this fact as someone else mentioned on this post... allow me to once again state facts and perhaps folks will get a clearer picture of what the issues here are...

Before this Health Care Act became an issue, a widely understood ethic existed amongst Hospitals in America where they would supply health care services free of charge to impoverished citizens, which was in direct relation to the oath the Doctors and nurses swore to protect and defend life at all costs. Those hospitals in turn recorded those costs and then submitted the losses to the IRS as a tax write off.

American's weren't taxed, nor were they forced to possess insurance or be penalized.

But this excluded life operating procedures and, so far as I know, wasn't widely practiced.

If you went to any hospital emergency room in the country you would be seen and would consequently recieve a bill about a week later in the mail. I know this from at least two experiences. So perhaps the hospitals and doctor's were simply being unethical or, they considered it a tax write off while still following procedures for bill collections, thereby attempting to 'double-dip' for a single procedure.

If you can point to me a single news article stating that someone in this country recieved a free, life saving operation without having to pay under the terms you mentioned than I will absolutely side with you on this issue. Until then I suggest everyone be reminded of the countless who went bankrupt because of medical costs, with or without insurance.

It's pathetic, IMO, that people who consider themselves to be somewhat well versed in the area of politics and history still get wet over the idea of Ron Paul and his types.

They dangle Ron and Dennis in front of you, just to keep you interested in the game.

They know you are losing faith, especially after the duping you took if you voted for "change".

You fail to realize how you are being setup. Ron Paul is not the solution to a broken system. The solution to a broken system is to come up with a new one. Something the founding fathers of our country took into consideration when they penned the documents that supposedly gave us our rights.

In that spirit, stop being so myopic in your views of what could be and take a moment to envision a world without these fools.

If we all just did the right thing by our families and friends, we'd all be taken care of by each other and there would be no need for war, politics or the pansies we put in office who claim to protect us from such things.

Stop combing the mirror.

If you want REAL change. BE CHANGE. Change you. The world is a reflection of ourselves and our combined thoughts and actions.
Want peace? Be peace. Want generosity? Be generosity. Want fairness? Be fairness.

But don't be fooled again and again and again by the same people playing the same game with us as they've done our parents, grandparents and all others who came before us who have lived and died believing that the men and women we send to office are working in the best interests of humanity, our countries or the individuals themselves.

I wish you all peace, love and gratitude on this fine day!

Ron Paul knows the legislation won't go anywhere. Everyone knows it. So why do it? Perhaps he trying to get someone to take the Unconstitutional issue to the supreme court. Perhaps he is positioning himself for the 2012 election. And maybe he's just doing the right thing. I like Ron Paul. Big fan of competing currencies.

No one was denied care before the HC bill was passed, but there will be care withheld when the system goes into full implementation. There will be no cost benefits for the American people.

The answer is very simple. As soon as you enter a socialized system your survivability rate drops. Our current system provides the highest overall survivability to disease. Now it will drop.
