I am, its actually just a quite simple question. A bellybutton is purely the result of a human being incubating in its mothers womb, therefore Adam and Eve (having bein created and not "born") would not have belly buttons.

Obviously you missed the sarcasm.

It's much more simpler than that.... God was into incest porn back in the day until the deity police caught up with him, at which point he made incest "illegal" (except for rednecks (no offense to any 'rednecks' intended'))

Honestly though, evolution and procreation explains it much better than Christians do, which is why we see some Christians asking silly questions like this.

Very nicely put. Thanks. But who is to know why God did so and so. He has magnificient plans.
He has now given a second chance thru Christ Jesus. All are welcome to avail of His second chance, while it is still available.

This is a fascinating response to my post.

I assume that you do undertand that the point of my post was to point out that

A - human beings wrote the story for their own purposes

and

B - the story was written to scare subjugated people into following the rules, regardless of how unimportant or obscure those rules might seem.

After all, in the Garden of Eden story, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was not a weapons locker full of WMDs. In fact, it was a tree of knowledge. Knowledge has always been considered a good thing. Still, the garden of Eden story was designed to make it clear that adherence to established authority (regardless of the demands of that established authority) is sacred, and that's the only reason for that story's existence.

Your response almost seems like it should have been to a completely different post.

Greetings All,
Saw in a lucid dream last night, that Satan actually appeared in a human form , incredibly handsome tall angel,
and Eve ( In the dream I was Eve ) actually asks him, Is this fruit edible? To which he replies, Yes it is for you to eat.
The fruit itself was not an apple but a very jucy kiwi like fruit, dripping purple juice, looked a bit like a mini honeycomb.
I ( as Eve ) actually picked up the fruit and my right hand was all sticky from the purple juice.
Thereafter I dont remember any more of the dream.

Anything that encourages us to debate honestly and ponder the universe is a good thing. My mind is a questioning one, it doesn't sit stagnant waiting to be spoon fed information. It seeks, I seek. And one would also beg to question why KNOWLEDGE wasn't a good thing. Why would God create us to be ignorant unless there was something nefarious in the works. I would want my child to know everything I knew.

But then honestly? Your post here read like the same old infomercial the church has been showing on tv for years, lol. "Get it now, you've got one last chance to accept the offer and LOOK he cut the price!". I'm just not one to buy a thing without researching first and getting a rational explanation. It's just not good consumer policy.

That being said, I believe in a Creator... whether he/she/it had our best interests in mind is the thing I often ponder.
