TIME CHANGE---

Why does the clock on my ATS keep changing to GMT+4. even after repeatedly changing it to GMT+1.

The same thing happens with the date...it dont change...HEEEELLLLPPP.

I don't know the answer but I offer my help in the form of a "bump."

Go into your profile.

Change the time to the correct zone for you

Press submit

Leave everything alone, exit the page and go and post.

You'll find that the time of your post is correct to where you set it

For some reason (probably server/code issues) the time option goes weird when you update your profile. Don't go by what the profile page says, go by the time stamps on your posts.

If you update your profile, repeat the above.

It drove me nuts for a year and a half before someone else explained it to me

I´ve do ne that a thousand times.....and,as i explained every time i leave the page after pressing submit go to post and then return to my account its the same...Abu [snip] Dhabi...or another third world country...

It doesn't work.

I've done that umpteen times in the past but the problem persists.

While I realise this "bug" has been addressed before and the solution you post above has been posted before....it doesn't work permenantly.

I gave up going round in circles with this ages ago, now I just ignore posting times.

I hope this is one of the things that gets fixed when the new portal arrives.

Thanks for mentioning the fact that the "time" thing is completely buggered.
Time to close the thread i think..

With time reference thing is bloody annoying...i´ve had to leave it on GMT if not all the dates of the postings are one or two days out..

When you find out how to fix it please let me know, lol. I've been running on funky time ATS style since I joined. Tried and tried to correct it, finally gave up.

Example as I post it's 20:10 Sunday night my time...

Do what neformore said to do. Set the time for your particular timezone. Due to server/code issues, when the page reloads, the box is set for something else, but your time is correct.

For example, I'm in Germany, which is on Central European Time (GMT +1). If I were to go and change my signature, I would go and set the time for "Berlin, Paris +1". Then I'd click save. When that page reloads, it ends up saying Abu Dhabi +4. But when I do and post, all the time and date is correct. What the box says on the reloaded page isn't your setting.
