For those that can't view the video the host is interviewing this professor on the phone.

It is basically restating what we already know.

Obama is a Marxist and all those associated with him are too.

His whitey grandparents were "progressives" back in the Midwest before and after the war.

They always made a point of his grand fathers service during WW2.

He had no choice it was a draft. There were many "liberals" in the service.

I read an article that when he was growing up in Hawaii the only black man he knew was this old guy a friend of his grand dads that wrote a progressive, Marxist oriented paper in Chicago,"back in the day".

Obama is was and will be a Marxist ideologue.

Stormdancer, I have not seen the video and will have to wait until I get home, since they have youtube blocked at work. But you have a good thread started. We know Obama is a Marxist by the many statements he made on the campaign trail, and since he has been in office. What concerns me is the secrecy that seems to surround this man. Not just the birth certificate, but his college transcripts. What in the world could be in those transcripts that would require him to keep them hidden?
This man is dangerous. He has already humilated the country by bowing to leaders. He is spending us into bankruptcy. And if he keeps up these insane fiscal policies, we will have riots in the streets, just as Greece is having now.
keep up the good work.

Disclaimer: I'm not an Obama supporter in the very least.

Over the course of my life I have hung around people of a myriad of different views - a few of them being far right wing and extremely religious. I even had a friend, who, for a while, began espousing the belief that fascism was the pinnacle of political governing bodies.

I'm very left wing, I'm not religious at all, and I consider certain brands of socialism to be the pinnacle of political governing bodies. Though I knew these people, I never once subscribed to their beliefs and we usually steered away from political debates.

As for Barack Obama... are people's views not allowed to change over time? I read a psychological study that stated that our world outlook changes every six days.

The more politically active black students.

Oh dear... people who fight for people's rights? Why would we ever want somebody like this in the White House?

The foreign students.

My God... it's so sinister...

The Chicanos.

He hung around American citizens of Mexican descent?! That illegal alien lovin' sonofa
!

The Marxist professors

Yeah, show me a college campus that doesn't have Marxist professors. I imagine you guys will want to start banning professors from teaching based on personal beliefs next.

structural feminists

He supports equal rights for women? And he hung around people who used Freudian psychoanalytics to make arguments in support of it?! Dude, this guy just has to be a Kenyan Commie! There is no other explanation!

punk-rock performance poets.

Punk Rock!? Performance art?!?! Has he no shame?!

Barack Obama sounds like the kinda guy I wished I was hanging around in college, but alas, he sold out big to corporatist oligarchy that pulls the strings. At least we now know that the POTUS has good taste in the arts!

His most recent comments, when he said he "doesn't begrudge" some of the multimillion dollar bonuses handed out to top Wall Street executives, tried to disguise his thoughts as defending the free market system in America but in truth he has simply aided the corporate takeover of the government.

For over two years we have written about his strange connection to Wall Street, and especially Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. However, the White House nor Congress has never attempted to explain the series of actions we identified between Obama and Goldman Sachs dating all the way back to his election to the US Senate in 2006.

When it comes to Obama do we even know that the Marxists and radicals like Ayers and Wright aren’t on the Powers that Be payroll as well?

To be fair... McCain is as linked to Ayers as Obama was. From Factcheck.org's "He Lied" About Bill Ayers?

According to an Obama spokesman, the two men [Obama and Ayers] first met in 1995, when Obama was tapped to chair the board of the newly formed Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Ayers had been instrumental in creating the organization, which was to dispense grants for projects that would improve Chicago's schools.

The Challenge was one of 18 projects supported by a $500 million grant announced at a White House ceremony Dec. 18, 1993, by the Annenberg Foundation, founded four years earlier by Philadelphia publisher Walter Annenberg. It was the largest single gift ever made to public education in America. The Chicago project received a $49.2 million grant in 1995, and officials administering the grant funds at Brown University announced at the time that the Chicago proposal was developed through discussions among “a broad-based coalition of local school council members, teachers, principals, school reform groups, union representatives and central office staff” convened by three educators – one of whom was Ayers. Mayor Richard M. Daley, a Democrat, and Gov. Jim Edgar, a Republican, took part in a ceremony announcing the grant.

What Kurtz – and McCain in his Web ad – considers "radical," other observers see differently, however. Veteran education reporter Dakarai I. Aarons, writing in Education Week, says the Chicago Annenberg Challenge actually "reflected mainstream thinking among education reformers" and had bipartisan support:

Education Week (Oct. 8): The context for the Chicago proposal to the Annenberg Foundation was the 1988 decentralization of the city’s public schools by the Republican-controlled Illinois legislature, a response to frustration over years of teachers’ strikes, low achievement, and bureaucratic failure. ... The proposal was backed by letters of support to the Annenberg Foundation from Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar, a Republican, local education school deans, the superintendent of the Chicago public schools, and the heads of local foundations.

Among the mainstream Chicago luminaries on Obama's board was Arnold R. Weber, a former president of Northwestern University, who in 1971 was appointed by Republican President Richard Nixon as executive director of the Cost of Living Council and who later was tapped by Republican President Ronald Reagan to serve on an emergency labor board. More recently, Weber has given $1,500 to John McCain's presidential campaign this year.

Others on Obama's supposedly "radical" board included Stanley Ikenberry, a former president of the University of Illinois system; Ray Romero, a vice president of Ameritech; Susan Crown, a philanthropist; Handy Lindsey, the president of the Field Foundation of Illinois; and Wanda White, the executive director of the Community Workshop for Economic Development.
Kurtz originally claimed that Ayers somehow was responsible for installing Obama as head of the board, speculating in his "cover-up" article that Obama "almost certainly received the job at the behest of Bill Ayers." But after days of poring over the records, he failed to produce any evidence of that in his Wall Street Journal article.

I don't really believe that the Ayers-Obama connection holds water. However, there is something that just makes the conspiracy theorist part of my brain salivate:

Bill Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground, an extremely radical wing of the Students for a Democratic Society. This group most certainly had been infiltrated by the government: Larry Grathwohl is the name of the FBI agent who acted as a plant inside the organization as part of the COINTELPRO operation against them. Then there is this:

In his book The Strawberry Statement, former student protester James Kunen reports a description of Business International by an unnamed Students for a Democratic Society conference attendee in 1968. The attendee, referred to by Kunen as 'the kid', claimed the company offered to finance SDS demonstrations in Chicago. Business International is described as 'the left wing of the ruling class' and as desiring a Gene McCarthy presidency.[1]

The "Business International" discussed above is the Business International Corporation, a "publishing and advisory firm dedicated to assisting American companies in operating abroad" that is also known to have acted as a CIA front company.

From Obama's wikipedia:

Following high school, Obama moved to Los Angeles in 1979 to attend Occidental College.[24] After two years he transferred in 1981 to Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations[25] and graduated with a B.A. in 1983. He worked for a year at the Business International Corporation,[26][27] then at the New York Public Interest Research Group.[28][29]

Hey, could be a coincidence. Or it might not be... make of it what you may.

Matt Taibbi's in RS magazine are brilliant. RS is targeted mainly to the left-wing demographic, so imagine their surprise when they found their Golden Boy being attacked for being exactly what he said he wasn't.

Did you read Obama's Big Sellout? Excellent article, but it just begins to scratch the surface. The bailouts are part of an plutocracy that dates back at least to the 1970s, a financial 'shadow government' of sorts that ensnares the Trilateral Commission, Kissinger Associates, the IMF/WTO/World Bank, the G30 and the Bank of International Settlement. The idea that Obama opposes neo-capitalism's corporatist model is the biggest load of phoney-baloney ever sold the American public (WMDs in Iraq is the second), and whatever PR firm cranked it out is being handsomely rewarded for dividing America and obscuring the facts on what is really going down.

Obama says "judge me for the company I keep." Beck-types latch onto people like Van Jones, a self-confessed ex-Communist who is currently an eco-capitalist.

Eco-capitalism is one of several strategies of the green movement and Green Parties. Its central idea is that capital exists in nature as "natural capital" (self-renewing productive ecosystems that have a measurable ecological yield or tangible benefit to humans) on which all wealth depends.

Of course, the talking heads will ignore this fact and continue hammering down on the ommie angle when no such angle exists. They refuse to acknowledge Obama's various appointments such as Austan Goolsbee (member of the Council of Economic Advisers), who strongly supports the Chicago School of Economics. For those who don't know, the Chicago School rejects Keynesianism for a more free-market approach. Another appointment is Jason Furman, a member of the Robert Rubin-founded Hamilton Project, which argues for "for reforming, rather than abandoning, the free-trade agenda."

Goolsbee said of Obama:

"If you look at his platform, at his advisers, at his temperament, the guy's got a healthy respect for markets. It's in the ethos of the [University of Chicago], which is something different from saying he is laissez-faire."

This was published just a few days ago by Business Week:

“The irony is, is that on the left we are perceived as being in the pockets of big business; and then on the business side, we are perceived as being anti-business,” Obama said in a Feb. 9 interview in the Oval Office with Bloomberg BusinessWeek, which will appear on newsstands tomorrow.

“You would be hard-pressed to identify a piece of legislation that we have proposed out there that, net, is not good for businesses,” he added. He predicted that legislation he will sign this year would cut corporate taxes by about $70 billion.

Everyone changes as they go through life, and high school and college are big areas of change in anyone's life. You really can't judge the character of a person today based on how they were in college. People change.

Honestly and I mean no disrespect but does it matter? The right will use it to hurt the left and then the left will find something to hurt the right.

It is all one big game and to tell you the truth I am sick of it.

Democrats=take away freedoms fast they are ready for change

Republican=Take away rights slow they are not wanting change

Independents=A little of both

And all of them are run by progressives and big business so in reality if Obama was a crack whore who molested his dog every night it would not matter don't you see. They let one fall to set up the next one. But in reality they hold all the cards.

No disrespect, sir, but that's nonsense.

If you can't see the stark difference between the radical agenda proposed by the Obama Administration and...well, people who actuall LOVE their country and the freedoms we enjoy...then you should educate yourself before posting.

How exactly is it fair to mention another person than the topic and the original post is about?

The post is not about the Queen of England, Sir Walter Raleigh, or The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

It’s about Barack Hussein Obama.

The topic is not about the election or who ran in the election the topic is about mysterious elements of Barack Hussein Obama’s past.

What you have fairly done though is to illustrate my main point that Obama was selected by the Powers that Be as an ideal focal point for controversy over as an individual and a character as a deliberate distraction from more pressing domestic and international issues.

No one else won the election, and the election is long over. So no it’s not fair to mention an entirely unrelated person in an entirely unrelated position unless it is simply a means of deflection to avoid the responsibility Barack Hussein Obama personally has to the citizens of the United States as it’s President, Commander in Chief and Chief Executive.

Thanks!

It took a BILLION dollars to get Obama elected.

That is a lot of people of influence to keep happy.

Obama has lied so many times.

He was well aware of Bill Ayers past even when he was at Occidental College.

He spoke of the 60's movement and SDS many time in discussions.

One of the reasons he went to Chicago was to seek him out.

There is a very extensive nationwide group of former student socialists from the 60's who are now in position of authority with in government and the educational system.

This country's problem is we forget the past and who did what, when and where.

It is made easier if those same people are also in positions of power in media companies and can control the information the public has access to.

Eh, I guess it was a poor way of wording it. I just wanted to point out that the method in which Obama is linked to a radical Marxist is through an organization that also has numerous Republican ties. I can't accept that there are traces of Marxist conspiracy there. I also hold extreme doubts over the validity of a Marxist who moves in circles so close to Milton Freidman-following Chicago School economists. However, the connection I mentioned above via Business International Corporation I think may merit a closer look.

I too agree that Obama was 'hand selected' to further sell a lie to the American people, the lie of freedom.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.

-Edward Bernays

Obama's a brand name to be sold and those who profit are the same plutocrats who hide in the shadows of Washington. And everybody knows controversy sells...

Highly informative video. I have been researching Obama's Occidental and Columbia days and it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I was very impressed with Drew's personal observation of Obama's Marxist/Leninist hardcore point of view. Also, the question that was brought up about the coming revolution. Is Obama the man behind the revolution or just the face? It is now well documented that Obama was a radical Marxist before his Occidental days, so his friendships and connections were not coincidental. This has been planned for decades. I also believe that becoming the President of the U.S. is just a stepping stone toward becoming a leader on the world front. Drew mentioned in the interview about Obama being satisfied with only serving one term. Does anyone have any information on Obama's friend at Occidental. He was a financial supporter and very wealthy. Drew mentioned that they both appeared to be gay and wealthy. Obama also traveled to Pakistan to visit his family. Did Drew call him Shandu? I would like to do some more research on this man.

What exactly has Obama done to take away freedom? Who signed the patriot act into law?

You say educate myself and then post no facts only personal truths? Both sides take away freedom just one does it fast and the other slow get it. I could draw you a picture or write really slow so you can understand.

Think about it you say I am so dumb because I pointed out the very game you are playing? I am sure my words will be lost on you-- some mental blocks you can not overcome.

I will tell you what and make a list of the laws that hurt us and see what side voted for them. Talk means nothing until it is turned into a law don't you see that.
