I can only do that tomorrow as i don't have time but hopefully someone can get a close up pic of it to see a bit better what it is exactly.

Trust me, when you see my videos which i'm posting on youtube just now...you will see that it aint a bird... the shadows are exactly the same direction as the trees etc, these are outside of the helicopter and move far too irregular to be a bird

Are you talking about that giant black thing that looks like a giant fly or something?

It looks like a "speeded up" low res picture of a helicopter at a lower level.

Or, should I be looking at something else?

No No, I didn't say it was a bird ... my post somehow got put in the middle of someone elses post and it looks like the 'edit to add' was mine ... no idea how that happened


I'm not saying I know what it is but I agree with you that it definately isn't a bird.

The shape and movement is all wrong.

The only 'down to earth' explanation I can think of that might be a possibility, is that the artifact is something to do with the camera ... only because it seems to be in a similar place in the frame on both clips.

If this can be ruled out I think you may have something ... it certainly moves in a strange way ... and the fact that it does show a shadow would tend to rule out the 'down to earth' explanation mentioned in the previous paragraph.

This is actually quite exciting ... I hope someone who knows how to do a bit of photo analysis comes forward to help out.

You know what I think?

I think there has been some sort of frame-rate issue that's occurred either in the original Ch 4 video, or when you've recorded this by pointing your cell phone camera at the TV screen & downloaded it.

I think that's what is causing this bizarre effect.

I think that’s a helicopter at a lower altitude that has been filmed with low resolution & “sped up” by this error.
