Oh heres Rush Limbaugh:

RUSH: Freedom is awaking from its coma today because of a huge, huge, huge Supreme Court decision -- huge. I cannot tell you how big this is. It's a 5-4 decision.

www.rushlimbaugh.com...

Freedom awakens?? Who said welcome to the USSA? Because I'd figure folks like Rush and Hannity were the last people to be considered the faces of socialism.

Heres what you get. You get you to have your voice compete with multi-billion dollar corporations and special interests, american and foreign. How that for representation.... eh?

Wake up.

Maybe I'm just trying really hard to find something positive in this, but this will make it much easier to figure out who to NOT vote for. Also, it could very well encourage more people to vote for an Independent, while the "big guys" are preempting all of the couch potatoes' TV programs.

Glenn "constitutionalist" beck is silent? Hannity is applauding this?? Really?? and their loyal listeners ignore the giant hypocrisy sign in the room?? Wheres Rush? Wheres freedom works??

I know.
I listened to the radio on the way home as Hannity declared this a great day for freedom. GB, as far as I know, is silent....the man who supposedly RAILS against corruption is silent on something that will completely hand over our country to international corporations and foreign interests....not to mention Wall street and big banks that we just bailed out with TAXPAYER MONEY. Well now they get to control ALL OF IT.

NO MAN who loves and supports our Constitution would ever support this. NO MAN who loves our country would every support this.

I'm sick. All elections will be complete garbage as of tomorrow. Vote for your favorite Corporate candidate!!!

Hell...let's just get rid of the R's and D's and just let them go by company name.

We can have the Banker Party, the Oil Party, the China Party, the Russia Party, etc.

Some are not understanding the ramifications of what happened today.

No, we acknowledge it, but what are we supposed to do? They are systematically removing the voter from the equation. What is left? It almost seems like they want us to do something.

Right? I don't know. I am barely staying afloat right now myself. Unlike corporations, I do not have BILLIONS of dollars to invest in a politician. I can't afford to go to Washington..it's hard enough to feed my kid.

No pay raises...no benefits....little vacation...I'm stuck. I want to do something....but what can I do? I feel fortunate that I still have a job.

I'm bent to the will of the system....we all are...and I know it's going to get worse.

I simply cannot believe the 180 some people on ATS have made regarding Wall Street and the banks.

Just over a year ago EVERYONE was fuming...but now some think it's great that they have basically unlimited power to influence and control the entire political process.

Suddenly it's OK if the government is corrupt.

People have lost their minds to the endless rhetoric.

This is the dance old MM used to argue with you about...
Skeptical about the conviction behind the words and rhetoric.
I can't believe people on here are applauding this, VERY REGRETTABLY I think
MM is feeling vindicated and very sad at the same time.

The good things is that this busy year of political Armageddon has forged people like you. The bad thing is the once FOX spins this into bald eagles we are screwed, because the Dems are not gonna be around to push back effectively. In time this will be heralded as a great step towards freedom, given the shift it the wind this is a pickle. People hate the party in power, while the default party are the quarterbacks, not doing so would SCREW up GOP resurgence.

I really hope ALL of us sane people can unite, I mean this is like epically bad, by far the worst perfect storm I have yet to see.

OR you could of said

"no point in voting anymore, ever"

Indies cannot compete with the money we will see, if there was ever a time for pitch fork...

Are you kidding me? This has to be sarcasm right? You know that this actually benefits these people and their network since they can now throw as much money as they want toward candidates now. These people are in the hands of big corporations, and if you are looking to them for truth, justice, or outrage, you are not going to find it unless their multi-million dollar backers are telling them to spout them.

Small businesses will THRIVE as I'm sure the international corporations will be more than willing to let some of their business go!! I'm sure they will raise prices to help us out here! They are the great humanitarians!!!

What a crappy day.

I think I'll go with the Preparation H candidate.

I use to know the direction..............
I use to know the perception...........
I use to know the reason................
I use to know the difference between right and wrong, where do WE begin?

It has become corrupt to even think or to conceptualize components of governance.

I have begun to assume, their is no righteous attitude.

I never understand this part of US political system, what does this have anything to do with freedom of speech, corporations are not representative of the people, they're business units with commercial interests, and they have no voting rights whatsoever. This will definitely lead to an even worse money "democracy".

I was thinking... At least maybe the politicians would be stipulated to by their new official bosses to wear uniforms, talk in funny accents and maybe, if we are lucky, RIVER DANCE. I mean that would at least be entertaining and good for some more votes. Also, they could be required to say the product name every five minutes (a little shock collar to remind them), that would create fantastic new growth opportunities and fantastic jobs by advertising their marvelous products mid debate on CSPAN.

I can hear it now:

Senator Floobyson of NY "... and I would also like to thank the distinguished gentleman
from Kansas, for his stalwart determination in addressing this issue on behalf of the American people,(PZZZTTTT) VASELINE , not to mention the distinguished..."

But really the best that can come from this is forcing them to do battle via a text message vote after 24 or Idol...

Now that might be worth it,

I would text vote Leiberman EVERYTIME

Maybe Leiberman Vs Maxine Waters armed with a thirty day old Baguette, thats my first vote.

I can't wait

Welcome to corporate America.

Can't say I'm surprised, this was bound to happen... Unfortunately.

The corporations already owned our government institutions through all the PAC money and such. This won't really change anything for the worse. I'd rather know where the money is coming from (directly from corporation to politician) than have to trace it through the myriad of holding companies, PACs, and lobbying firms.

This is bad news but it already was bad. It's like setting fire to a previously burned down house.

How much more are we going to take?

Why don't they just make it so individuals or corporations can vote as many times as they want, they just have to pay a dollar every time they do it?
