Regarding your confusion over OmniUbi's post...

Over the years, I have found that I could use one of two simple phrases to respond to a person that is making no sense:

1. Whatever you said
2. Same as you.

I can only speculate how many arguments with the wife were avoided with the timley utterance of one of these phrases.

All the while, she thought she had made her point decisively. She probably had; I wouldn't know. I wasn't listening.
