Pakistan: Taliban brainwashes kids with visions of virgins

Often I am surprised by the number of young children and teenagers that are willing to serve as a martyr by engaging in a suicide-murder bombing. It's difficult for me to understand what would compel such a young person to do such a terrible act.

"When we got to this compound it was shocking for us," Lt. Col. Yusuf tells us, standing in the middle of what the Pakistani military says was a brainwashing center -- for children.

It was here, according to the Pakistani military, that children aged 12 to 18 were turned from innocent youngsters into cold-blooded killers, willing to blow themselves to bits as suicide bombers.

The discovery of the compound was first reported in Pakistani media last month. Yusuf says his unit took it over after a three day battle with militants.

Part of the compound consists of four rooms -- each wall adorned with brightly colored paintings in clear contrast to the barren and harsh landscape surrounding it. The children were told that this was what awaited them in heaven.

Each of the images has a river flowing through it. Some have people playing in the water. Others have women lining the banks.

The military says that the children are told that these are rivers of milk and honey, that the women are the virgins that await them in heaven. That the children were told that they will live in the company of the holy prophet and be served feasts.

Well, wouldn't it be in the Taliban's best interest to brainwash kids with...oh...I don't know...visions of talented slutty girls instead?

why, because virgin men don't know any better. Any guy thats been around knows that that two half-drunk strippers will wear ya out. For me, I don't want to spend eternity telling a first timer that she is wonderful and doing a great job. That kind of lying might get ya kicked out of heaven

The irony about virginity is that technically speaking, it is lost at the point of penetration... or when the hymen is broken. Does this mean you never get past the first stroke before the virgin pops out of existence, or that you may never actually have sex with them, lest they become non virginal?

That would be awful being surrounded... nay taunted by beautiful virgins you can never defile for the rest of eternity. What a bummer!

The Military couldn't have been far from truth regarding "visions of vergin/ females" specially for children. While researching suicide bombers for my next thread I came upon the concept of "virgins in heaven" as MSM portrays.

The Houri actually say their spouses will be reborn in heaven pure as virgins. And obviously kids are not married so it does not apply to them.

"And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, having resurrected them as virgins [Chapter (Surah) Al-Waqi'a (The Event)(56):34-36]

And among His wonders is this: He creates for you mates out of your own kind [min anfusikum azwajan, Lit. “from among yourselves mates (spouses, one of the pair)”] so that you might incline towards them, and He engenders love and tenderness between you: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think! ... And He it is who creates [all life] in the first instance, and then brings it forth anew: and most easy is this for Him, since His is the essence of all that is most sublime in the heavens and on earth, and He alone is almighty, truly wise. [Chapter (Surah) Ar-Rum (The Romans)(30):21...27]

And this is not limited to male only, it also covers females as shown here

God has promised the believers, both men and women (Lit., waalmuminoona (male believers) waalmuminatu (female believers), gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide, and goodly dwellings in gardens of perpetual bliss: but God's goodly acceptance is the greatest [bliss of all] -for this, this is the triumph supreme! [Chapter (Surah) At-Taubah (The Repentance) (9):72][38]

As for anyone - be it man or woman [Lit., min (from) thakarin (male) aw (or) ontha (female)][16:97] - who does righteous deeds, and is a believer withal - him shall We most certainly cause to live a good life, and most certainly shall We grant unto such as these their reward in accordance with the best that they ever did. [Chapter (Surah) An-Nahl (The Bee) (16):97]

You will also note that nowhere in these passages anything states about suicide bombing etc. People use these verses to further their own agenda.

but i tell ya, when i'm tired, i'd kill myself for milk, honey and a virgin.
