Have three of the 4 horsemen already ridden?

I found an interesting blog entry on the apocalypse. Always a fun topic.
Here's a paragraph:

I would like to propose the idea that Islam is the final antichrist kingdom. Islam is currently taking over the world. Forty-eight of the nations in the UN are predominantly muslim and many of the others have large populations of muslims. Many parts of Europe are under Islamic law. Islam is the largest growing religion in the world, but it is more than a religion. It is a kingdom. Most people believe the Revised Roman Empire will be the final antichrist kingdom. But, Europe is in decline just like the US. The antichrist kingdom beheads people. Islam is the only kingdom that beheads people. The antichrist kingdom seeks to establish by force a one world religion and Islam seeks to establish by force a one world religion.

Hard to argue with "Islam seeks to establish by force a one world religion". And they do behead.... Daniel Pearl. There's much more in the article. I found it a light-hearted bed time read. Enjoy!

Here's the entire article: Have three of the 4 horsemen already ridden?

Were horses all that prominent in the Biblical mid-east? Or only in Rome? What do you think of this?

The thing is with mythology is that you can read whatever you want to in it,not unlike debating the life and times of the Whos or the architecture of Gotham city.

Perhaps it would be more productive to present a case for the existence of any evidence that would back up a single word of revelation.

Agreed. I started off with "I found an interesting blog entry" and that's about as far as I went in showing my hand. The cards will fall where they may. Thanks mcman!

Thanks troubleshooter. Didn't know you explored this, I was simply throwing this out for discussion.

I saw "Three of the Four Horsemen have ridden already" and this thought immediately popped into my mind. The Three Horsemen are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Fourth Horseman will be a new world religion that is yet to come. There's no evidence based on this theory other than the fact that the God of Judaism and Christianity and Islam is pretty much the same.

Yo Hemisphere I love your threads keep making new ones.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I believe that the pale horse is not death as such, but death by desease. As in a pandemi. A deadly virus or a plague killing many worldwide. Thus the article's mention of Iranian nukes does not apply to this horse, imho.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Thanks Wang Tang!
The feelings are mutual as I enjoy your posts. I'm not big on the Biblical prophecies as you've read in my other threads. I'm not "Biblical" at all. I'm a former Catholic, now a skeptic. But the various theories and plot lines are fascinating and sometimes brilliant. I also think the original stories leave much to be interpreted and built upon. We've seen throughout history the "horsemen" have come and gone a number of times or so some fancy prognosticators have thought.

Your modern take is interesting. Your intuition is as valid as any 2000 year old evidence in my estimation. Although your foursome do not fit the criteria set forth by the Biblical authorities, they do present four very formidable world shaping and perhaps in their total, world ending characters. It does seem that Judaism came and then Christianity and now Islam is arriving and destruction of many sorts are being both perceived and realized. These shifts don't come without destruction. One can't help but wonder when they will all be tossed aside by those that run the world and we are all gathered, kicking and screaming, into a socialist faith where we worship the world government as God. A happy congregation where "Can't we all just get along?" is our creed. This being your fourth horseman or something like this, I presume.

If you check back in the other thread you will see that I go into my own explanation for the "horsemen" and who they represent. You'll get a kick out of it I'm certain.

The 4 horsemen are nothing but lies and deceit to keep the general public in fear. Wake up people.

Not to worry. I just saw a commercial indicating that the new season of Americans Idle is almost upon us.

I bow to your knowledge on this Hellmutt. I'm not up on the Biblical prophesies as I mentioned but they do grab one's imagination. Your point on disease being the death brought by the final horseman makes much sense with the flu pandemics we're either experiencing or in the least frightened with daily. That is if we imagine those prophesies are behind all this. One thing I can say with rather certainty, this life thing will kill you!

Thanks!

Thanks Sphinx! Check my other thread and you will see I'm of similar opinion.

Most people do not recognize the irony of the four horseman.

That and the Royal Family of England and their patronage to the sport.

I think that prophesy is bound to be fulfilled much to our collective chagrin lefty! Just kidding AI fans!

By the way my Strat (black)is from the last year they made them in the US, you probably know maybe '86 or '87? I know they're made here again but I mean the first time they did. You know! I only owned a tube amp as kid. And that was in Marconie's day so let's not explore that. (Leo Fender is spinning right now.)

The four horsemen are described this way:
1) The White Horseman of Deception
2) The Red Horse of Dissension
3) The Black Horseman of Deprivation
4) The Pale Horseman of Death

I stand by my theory that the first 3 horsemen represent Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and the fourth is a mysterious religion to come in the future... but I heard another interesting theory regarding the Four Horsemen in a review of the song City of Delusion by Muse

www.sing365.com...

Simply put, he says the four horsemen are: religious extremism, government control, energy crisis, and social injustice.

Just some food for thought.

Are we waiting for Dancing with the Stars instead? Are they separate horsemen?

The American Standards were around near that time. That's when they went to the C-neck that everyone loves (but me). Don't forget to replace the pickups!

If we were meant to play solid state, they wouldn't advertise all their amps to have tube-like tone

Keep your filaments glowing.

Now there's the deal. Separate Horsemen! Survivor and Jersey Shore round out the crew. Brrrrrrrrrrrr! There's a nightmare of Biblical proportions.

You are correct, I do love that neck. I've got long hands and I cramp up on other necks. Maybe that's it. And right again, I had a guitar tech swap out the pups and lock down the trem very early on. You sir, know your axes. I do play through an old Princeton solid state but that doesn't mean I don't long for the warm glow of my youth. Now you've got me thinking again much to my wife's chagrin. And she was nice enough to buy me an electric ukulele for Christmas. So, it's not like I can complain. Although that would also sound sweet through a tube amp. Later, I’ve got four horseradishes to corral!
