This fellow John Cadman thinks he has proof the shafts under the Pyramids could be a giant water pump based on the HYDRAULIC RAM PUMP principle.

" The pyramid had a tall masonry enclosure that was higher than the pyramid’s entrance (1) (see Figure 8). Water was flooded between this masonry wall and the pyramid via tunnels from the ancient Lake Moeris (2). Lake Moeris and the Western Nile were at higher elevations and allowed for water tunnels to gravity feed to this pyramid’s moat

1,3 (see Figure 2). One of the water tunnels existed as a “well” in front of the pyramid’s entrance. This well has since been covered with pavement

1. As the moat filled, water flooded the entrance and ran down the descending passage (3) into the subterranean chamber (6)."

John Cadman has made a model of this pump based on these underground passages and it works!

www.youtube.com...&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"> "http://www.youtube.com/v/JfncpRxemKI&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"

( Er.. this is an embedded video link without the number we normally use.. I can't seem to get it to work right for embedding into this thread.)

The main thing about this pump is not that it pumps water, that is a secondary function... but that it produces a pulsating sound sonically that is used for some unknown purpose. The Kings's chamber is a tuned granite room. The sub chamber is the source of the "shock wave".

Another good thread that discussed these shaft are here but there are no conclusions. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Very interesting! S & F. Does this theory support or debunk the ~pyamids are older than previously thought~ ideas?

The viagra references derailed me a bit buddy!

Star and flag. This is awesome.

The sonic pulse...what in the world were they thinking?
Ive always said if I had a time machine, I would go back to this era, and see what really happened. These people were genius.

Some more information on the research:

The subterranean chamber has confounded most pyramid researchers. The Orthodox camp essentially gave up trying to explain this room. They came up with the idea that the whole subterranean section was a giant mistake. Edward Kunkel, Chris Dunn, and Joe Parr gave alternate views. Kunkel was partially correct when he recognized that the chamber was part of a modified hydraulic ram pump. Dunn recognized that the chamber must be the location for the source of a pulse direct towards King’s chamber.

www.bibliotecapleyades.net...

It's an interesting theory, but it brings more questions than answers, most times this makes the theory taboo as it seems to be pushing research 2 steps back and 1 step forward.

Continued from the source, on the subterranean chamber:

Parr recognized that it was the location of a sound transmission that energized the pyramid.

The only question now is, why?

This proves aliens helped to make Pyramids

Oh Crap! You know I copied that section and didn't realise these advertisements were in there.. I was so busy getting this page set up. I will remove the ads. LOL those must be ads he has on his website.

And I believe it supports that these are much older than the Egyptians thought by perhaps as much as 5000 years.. There are water marks and damage in the pyramid to support this. The Egyptians didn't build these things. They just live in the shadow of them as people do today. The Egyptians never even to claim to have built the Sphinx, they only repaired it. Hawass is nothing but a liar an a thief.

Fascinating stuff JohnPhoenix, I have never heard of this theory. It doesn't make sense that such sophisticated builders would leave 'unfinished' chambers and abandoned shafts. Water erosion makes much more sense and the local knowledge about the pyramids being machines of some sort adds weight to the theory.

I watched the vid and clicked on the link supplied at the link site.

VERY INTERESTING read.

I've seen a lot of theories revolving around the pyramids, but the link I just provided has and excellent visual reference to everything involved.

Such as:

a cast model of the actual complex with glass walls injecting ink to show water flow that matches up with internal erosion at the actual complex..

WOW.. best I've seen yet to explain the building of the pyramids. Basically one person could have lifter any of the blocks to any point of the pyramid with this working model. The only issue is it still doesn't touch the rest of the possible machine the complex could be. This explains the pump system but the overall purpose of the pyramids is still lost in time..

This is an EXCELLENT start though.

very nice post

Jezz this stuff just blows my minds!
So why did they make this giant pyramid pump for? to create giant sonic shock waves? The reason for it alludes me!

All I can think of right now is the Great Pyramid sounding off loud pulsing noises to gather everbody's attention. The sound waves echo into the King's chamber and then to the outsid through the 2 ventilation shafts.

Just imagine a perfectly clean and smooth pyramid emitting sonic booms.
WTF, must have blown minds the ancient's minds, cause it blows mine.

The Kings" Chamber "?

The King's Reaction Chamber?

Water cooled.

Definetly a nuclear reaction, would need a building that that was constructed using these massive stones. If the aliens were going to build
anything I'm sure something nuclear must be on the table.

There is a corner melted on the Sarcophacus In the chamber.
Possible melt down?

I made Tut's sig.the word fire for a reason.
Pyra-mid= Fire in the middle.

Definitely huh =O
I don't know about that
How do you know aliens are all about the nuclear? huh? ALIEN!!!

Also thank you so much for this article it is fresh information (to me) about the pyramids (lately I have had my hopes up about them)

TOTAL SIDE NOTE

Does this remind anyone of the surf_egypt map in counterstrike? The outer wall even contained water haha

Yes I said definetly on the table.
I guess I should have said table of possibilities
for the less enlightened. You do understand now right?

Definetly a good thread SnF

Very interesting...blew my mind a little. The Ark held some nuclear fuel perhaps? I read somewhere it's measurements fit with the sarcophagus.

Would you need to water cool a gargantuan scalar wave weapon?

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/108ce92251d0.jpg[/atsimg]

I guess thats possible. Either way i still stand firm that we have been bluffed about the true function and/or reasons that the Great Pyramid was built. And who it was built by.... good book by the way for those who aren't afraid of some serious physics. (shameless plug number 500 for Farell)

This is false. They share no similar dimensions.

I don't see where it says cooling water. It's just water from the Nile. You need cold water for the nuclear rods and activity don't you?

Why don't the Eygptians get their act together and reconstuct the pyrimads and their functions. They were bulit to withstand the erosion of time for a reason. The ancients, whether they be aliens or sophisticated humans, bulit the pyrimads not only for themselves but for future generations.

Regenerating the pyrimads and their functions would be a huge triumph in human history and would mean a whole lot more than the non-working rubble that sits there now.

Only after the fall of Eygpt and countless looting do we not know their true purpose. Who knows how many hieroglypic carvings were destroyed, or how many known secrets, that connected the dots, have been surpressed by the invading governments. Only if we knew what use to be at the top of the great pyramid?

Ok Two of you now means I should apologise. I could n't be certain of any of this. To elaborate, I have read a no. of books on this subject and this is
some of the stuff I've retained. It's just a Childress theory, that I have added to where I saw fit.
That is a nuclear reaction needs to be water cooled definetly.
So for me the addition of this information solves the biggest problem with that theory.
