Gays 'will never go to heaven'

HOMOSEXUALS and transsexuals "will never enter the kingdom of heaven", a leading Roman Catholic cardinal said overnight.

Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan said that while the Church regarded homosexuality as an "insult to God", this did not justify discrimination against gay and transsexual people.

These old dinosaurs, when will they ever wake up to the real world and realise how silly they are?

It's too bad that lots of people believe them, follow them, kill for them and worse.

I particularly find it amusing how it's all left up to 'god' to sort everything out. Man can't discriminate, as that's god's job. Yeah, right... That's a great way to avoid responsibility for his idiotic, homophobic comments.

One of the nifty features of what I believe are man-made religions is that criminals can confess, be forgiven by another member of the cult, and no foul! Convienient huh?

Why, i wonder, is this news? Did the world expect the churches of the world to just change their minds about gays? I guess he didn't get the memo. Nobody really goes to heaven nor hell..

its all some perception written to keep people in line and from trying to find out what they are suppost to do in life.. IE learn spiritually.. But then again we couldn't have that now could we.. Then we would all realize this life is nothing but a joke and would be able to grow spiritually instead of trying to screw everyone else over..

But then again that's why the bible constantly contradicts itself because well even the people cant get it straight.. But we can really blame them for not being able to think for themselves now can we.. Of course not.. Billy Graham and Haggard never said we shouldn't...

Anyway I don't know where i am going with this just a lame rant on religion i guess not just christains all in general.. its a chain people need to get rid of and realize there is more to life and death than what they were taught.

It is just amazing to me that the Roman Catholic church has publically said that ET is our brother but will shun a gay or lesbian human being! How can that be?

Jesus said to love one another - he did not specify that it be man/woman relationship.

The book of Leviticus is what most people try to quote to back the anti gay position. However, how many people realize that the Jews found it a sin to spill their seed without pro creating and this is a Jewish law? It is not a God given commandmant and the last time I checked how many people and breaking most of them?

Again it's not the religion's fault. It's these people who are misrepresenting the religion as per the books/bible. There are bad apples in every religion but that does not mean the religion is bad.

Delicious. I don't have the right to condemn this cleric, as he and I have the same rights on Earth, however he's an asshat. Glad I didn't condemn him....................... that would be SINful.
