he would not like me using his real name we'll call him Bob... Now Bob a long time friend who once encouraged me to marry one of his daughter. he Doesn't just work at the Albuquerque control center he's in charge all the air traffic controllers on his shift... I'll post a flight map so you can see the size of territory he's responsible for... look for the section marked ZAB Albuquerque...

Anyway just yesterday I was over at his house, talking about old times, sharing a beer as we watched a game... After all these years of knowing him I finally asked, "Say Bob...With all those fancy radars you got out the center...you ever pick up a UFO"? He took a big gulp of his beer and never taking his eyes off the TV replied, "Everyday..." I know this man well enough to know he was dead serious...watching him I also realized if they reported those there would be a lot fewer air traffic controllers too...

It would be great if you could provide us with some more details about those UFOs.

I guess most people at ATS would know that UFOs have been tracked on radar by now..

Pretty interesting story, I put air traffic controllers up there with pilots and ex military as the best qualified to actually classify something as a genuine UFO. Any chance you could get the guy to answer a few questions?

If you were to take questions from members in this thread and try to pass them on to your friend it might cut down on the avalanche of negativity that usually accompanies threads of this nature.

For those who've never been to a flight center... these people spend all day everyday in front of a radar screen... the old green screens are long gone it's ultra high tech nowadays... anyway every aircraft broadcast a Identifier... on there screens the blip is shown as the ID... any blip without an ID is a UFO... down in my part of the world it could be drug smugglers trying to sneak in... we have customs aircraft ready to intercept...

but what old bob and I were talking about was your little green men type UFO... I didn't push him as I knew he didn't want to go there... he had a scared look in eye and wouldn't look at me in case I felt encouraged to push

I know that.

I was thinking more of speed, shape, size and things like that.

Maybe ... He's more you CYA type person than your disclosure type... Other than having a few stories about super speedy erratic blips I'm not sure proof is possible... from his office anyway

Without putting Bob in a position I know he's not going to... I will say... if you wanted to look for proof in flight logs... the area I would focus my attention on... is the sector known as Black Rock 58...

And that is as far as I'm willing to go

Interesting tale. Sometimes one word says enough. Not to mention there is no telling what kind of people have come in to "talk" to him about stuff popping up on his staffs screens, or at least been a witness to it happening to somebody.

Lol... how many different Alberquerque (spelling?) air traffic controllers are there who are older, beer drinkers and have daughters? If you're gonna repost a "confidential" post, try to be a bit more discreet about their info, I almost feel I could track this guy down (if i had the desire) myself and jam him up about what he knows.... just saying. However, back to original OP, wow.... pretty convincing. an unknown ID plus, really advanced flight patterns (which points away from drug smugglers) is pretty convincing to me. Thanks for sharing...

I would assume that air traffic controllers world wide see blips with no ID.

Sightings happen worldwide every day.

Foget about the "sightings" and concentrate on the "COVER UP", thats where the problem is.

Yeah, OP your not hiding his identity really well are you, lol. I could ask my neighbor who he is based on your info and he would know in about 2 minutes, lol.

And yes, he also sees blips all the time (or rather used to, he now is in charge and doesn't sit in a chair watching monitors any more, lol) But he also didn't seem to be worried about them for some reason or another. Told me radars show stuff all the time that is or is not there, and different operators choose to believe whatever they want to all the while ignoring the technical aspects of what causes them. Unfortunately he didn't go any further than that, and he isn't the kind of person you press when he wraps up his opinion on anything.

He also told me one time that after he retires he wont fly just based on the sheer amount of complete idiots that work in air-traffic flight control. He mentioned you would expect them to be top of their game and very smart, but when it comes down to it they are no different that a McDonalds manager (his words, not mine). He tried to fire several of them in his region a while back and couldn't because of some stupid union or something...even though they were incompetent by his estimation.

Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZAB) covers the northern part of New Mexico. The Ultra High Altitude Sector known as BLR 58 (Black Rock 58) can be monitored on 126.92 MHz. This area surrounds Los Alamos and Dulce.

Thread summary:

"I know a guy who (trust me) works as a radar operator, but I can't use his name. He see's UFO's a lot. "

Come on ATS, can't we do better than this?

I feel like I'm waiting for a punchline or something...(crickets)

FAA radars track UFOs. This should be common knowledge. My father was the manager of a FAA TRACON facility. He retired this year after 30+ years with the FAA. He told me they track UFOs, he believes in UFOs, but despite several attempts to get more details out of him he won't tell me more. He did say they kept in touch with NORAD. 'What for' I don't know, but I assume it was to get clarification when they tracked UFOs as to whether or not they were one of ours or if it was foreign.

Not really. I helped my brother install some large LCD screens for the "high tech" bits you talked about, but they still had a ton of smaller (well, still fairly large) round green screens. They utilize both usually.

This was at DIA by the way. I didn't get to meet a single underground base alien.

My family had a ranch Just north of Highway 380, over by carizozo. Some of our cows got burned from the fallout of the trinity test.

My family, and people that worked at our ranch started seeing some wild UFO activity just after WWII.

I have talked to a lot of people that have seen the lights, including my Dad and Grandfather.

I found what I believe to be the DUMB that they keep that stuff. There is a pretty clear pic on google earth.

To make this very brief and to the point, the Nazi's had anti-grav flying saucers. A lot of the scientists that worked on the Nazi rocket programs, also dealt with the flying saucers. Werner Von Braun was the leading authority on the subject.

During operation paperclip that technology was brought to White Sands Missile Range. The Roswell crash happened about 10 miles from our ranch. It was us playing with the Nazi saucers.

We took that technology and ran with it. They have things so far advanced that you literally would not believe it if you saw it. Oscura peak is a giant DUMB. It is the real "area 51", except it is actually called area 29.

Here are the coordinates for the Entrance to the DUMB in question.

33 25"17.85"N
106 25" 34.68" W

This is an interesting thread at least. Yes, there are UFOs and the government knows some things they won't tell us. ATC is in the middle of the fun and they're not going to admit anything they don't have to, period. It's all part of the game to keep them guessing until what?

Personally, I think the MIBs will let the cat out of the bag in the near future. There's to much evidence out for them to cover up anymore and they know it. My best,

To me the ultra high tech we have today is so far superior to some old radar that the older the radar report is, the less reliability I place on the technology and confidence in the data.

So while I'm not that impressed with some old radar data, I'd be much more impressed with modern radar data using the high tech equipment. It sure would be nice to know about some of the stuff he's seen but I can understand his reasons for not wanting to share more.

Air Traffic control is a good job to have so i don't see him getting to much into detail about this kind of stuff. People lose there jobs everyday for going against the grain. It wouldn't be classy to press the guy for info as much as we WANT/NEED to know. To me the truth is out there but not at the expense of others. The day when we climb over others to seek the truth is when our humanity means didly. No advanced society will want to talk to a bunch of savages.

Keep it classy guys.
