To the OP:

I am in agreement with you on your idea of no money being made. Some people feel that money is the way to prosperity, hard work, and dedication. That money should be vaulable the more you have. They believe that if they come up with an idea, and work to implement it they should be able to get anything they can for that idea, even at the expense of the rest of society.

Personally, I have no want to gouge someone for their money. Afterall they worked just as hard for their money as I did for mine. What makes me think I am more entitled to benefit from my ideas, as the next person that has no ideas, but works for me to make my ideas work correctly? I place value in people above all else. Money does not control my life...I need a certain amount, and would like more to do positive things for everyone. I often dream about a society that collectively agrees on a different fair mode of exchange.

I had a vision a while back that had the answer to this and required no money. In fact the system I envisioned allowed government to spend whatever was needed for the collective group, it allowed for all the programs we see present in our society today, and it allowed people to choose their own occupation as they felt they could best serve society. In this system wealth was not created by competition, but rather how someone creates things that are valued as essential to improve life for everyone. If there is ever an economic collapse you can guarentee I would be gathering my neighbors telling them how to keep things functioning all without money, and without need to feel like we had to pay for things.

When you get down to the fundamentals of humans inhabiting the earth, we were never meant to have money to begin with. Could we survive without it now? I doubt it.

Well yes and no. Money is a thing people get confused on quite a bit. There is a huge difference between money and currency. So say you did have a society without money. People would still be working towards having something it may be clothes, food, water what ever it is there would be something everyone wanted and needed. Whatever that would be would be the currency. That is what people like the venus project do not seem to get their head around, as long as you have people working towards anything a currency will develop, and shortly after that when it becomes impractical to move large ammounts of whatever you are using as currency around you develop paper or coin that represents what you are using as currency. Then you are back to money.

As they say money is the root to all evil.

Earth is a Planet known in this Universe as the Laboratory and Humans are known as a hostile and stupid species.

This Planet was free for all to roam and cultivate but through time man claimed territories as their's hence, the beginning of the downfall of mankind.

Species in the Universe wait to see how long it takes for Evolution to advance on Earth.............. they say it is to slow.

The want for self is still out of control.

When boundries are gone, when people work TOGETHER to better life for one another then we may be accepted.

There is no reason what............ so............... ever why every man, woman and child does not have a roof over there head, cloths on there back and food in their bellies. There is no reason why death occurs because one does NOT have the money or coverage for the medicine to save them.

Earth has everything on her to cure herself and the Human Race. The ones particurally in Governments that have greed for self will suffer in the end.

Remember it is the meek that shall inherit the Earth.

If the Human race doesn't clean up the mess it's made then Earth will clean the mess herself and she is now in the process of doing just that.

I agree with Kpax. Money is simply abstract power, we have gotten used to think about it as standing for materials and real value. Ever since the gold standard was abandoned, that is a flimsy position. If a boom starts and my real estate just goes up 200%, has anyone put any more value in there? Likely not.
Money is hypnotic, if you go to a store and offer money people will give you what you want. If you do not, they take you for a robber and a thief... For a mere piece of paper, that is...
There is a British hypnotist named Derren Brown who tried hypnotising people into accepting mere scraps of paper for cash tender. He mostly succeeded. There are videos on it on YouTube.
I think a few hundred years from now people will look upon our belief in money as barbarous. Just as we cannot understand why they had to burn people at stakes in the Middle Ages merely because they prayed differently.
It will be improbable that a family is put out of their house solely because they could not pay.
Marx was aiming at a moneyless society, for all those that did not know. Yet I am the first to acknowledge that the soviet Unon and its satellites were a sad dictatorial affair. The schizophrenic quality there was because everyone knew at tehir eharts that violence and an elite were ruling and this was no way towards a classless and cooperative society.
With the angle on reincarnation brought up by a bright poster here, I can see why we are here. This place is not supposed to work well. Period. Utopians would always make it better, irrespective of the individual karmas of the participants.
Yet as the Age of Aquarius dawns in about 380 years I am sure there will be some type of more community-minded approach to life.
And perhaps the old power has already begun to crumble under this Virgo Saturn transit - watch what happens to the money markets next June and July.

I once wrote a short story when I was bored. I imagined a world with no money and attempted to create a world based solely on services. Humans can live without money, although such an institution should take a while, and I emphasize…quite a while, to establish. As most of you already know! I suppose I would imagine something of a socialistic society if money were completely abolished…

If we return to the very beginning and ask ourselves the purpose of money, maybe we will discover where we went wrong?

There is a solution. Eliminate money. Monetary system sucks. People say if you work hard or the nation works hard there will be no problem with money. That is incorrect. Monetary system is base on scarcity, we ration the world's resources base on how much money one have, when there is an abundance of untapped resources. The world's resources is enough to sustain a good life for every single person on this planet.

When somebody rise up from rags to riches, people celebrate for that person, why? Because no matter how hard you work.. it is like winning the jackpot in the lottery. Many people work hard, yet they couldn't make it.

The world's resources is governed/managed by the few, while the rest of the world is in poverty. Monetary system is meant to slave us, now if you work hard, they give you a little incentive/reward. The rich continue to slave us with this system, once in a while somebody will make it to the top to make us believe that this system is perfect.

The truth is, whenever you get richer, somebody just got poorer. Do you really think that it's possible in a monetary system that every nation in the world is rich and every person on this planet is rich? No, not possible, they will not allow it. The powers can only be in power because of the scarcity and the rationing system of the world's resources. Technology and progress is suppressed to maintain the power of the few.

In a monetary system, success is measured by how much money you have and the motivation for work/profession is money. In this system, money decides whether you have education or not, and if you have money, the quality of education you get will still be based on how much money you have. It decides whether you can get health care or not. The geniuses of the world remains untapped because of the lack of money, they choose professions that aren't suited for them because they lack the money to pursue their real aspirations.

In this system, pharmaceutical companies' motive is profit, instead of trying to find the cure, they want to make sure that you are always sick so you will keep on buying meds.

In this system, electronic industries' motive is also profit, that is why they have what they call "planned obsolescence". Although they can make the best computer, cellphone etc... what they do is release a crappy one in the market, after a few months, they will release another one with a few upgrades.

On the other hand a resource-based economy, operates without money, the world's resources is spread equally. The measure of success is based on how much you contribute to the society. Your motive for profession is not money instead fame and legacy.

What you want is achievable, but the whole world needs to change and once and for all see that money was created so the few can have the power to the majority.

If you want to know more about the "Resource Based Economy" go to this website: www.zeitgeistmissouri.com...

If you want to know how it would be like in a world without money go to this website: www.thevenusproject.com...

I do not think you have the slightest idea at all about the concept of The Venus Project.
