Question though. Killing it, would that mean that there will be more people moving their biatching from the Pit to the other forums?

They could be dealt with and initially warned that they cannot continue their conduct.

I think trips to the wood shed may be in order.

ATS has soooo many new members, that if the veterans flame too much and too often, all the newbies think it's okay.

I agree with DTOM, the Mods have to be on here 24/7 to satisfy everyone.
Im here a lot during the course of the day but that probably pales in comparison to the mods behavior.

It has been suggested that the acidic tone of the pit has found its way into other forums, and I don't disagree. If the pit remains, it will likely be a political discussion forum where normal rules apply. We'll see.

oh no..of coarse im not being sarcastic im mean skeptic overlord must be working overtime considering he gave me 7 warning u2us in the span of 10 minutes...including 3 or 4 over use of quotes even though i got his point on the very first one and i continued to get them even though I had not even posted since the first u2u was recieved...

see..its hard work to be him...4 warnings over quotes in 10 minutes...hes gotta be a busy man ..either that or hypocrisy...either one is cool with me

I regard a "veteran" of ATS as someone with 5 years plus in the Forum.

I look forward to coming out of newbie status about six months from now.

Stupidity and absence of decorum and lack of analysis or insight is not in the exclusive domain of "newbies" or "veterans".

So would punishment for breaking the rules carry the same penalty?

Im curious because the nature of political debate in the pit usually ends in personal attacks, and there for you would have to issue many punishments and justice.

Although I think its important to punish them all.

Are you trolling for a banning or attention? Im serious. You arent even adding to discussion anymore, you are simply mouthing off whenever you want to about how unfair it is you received a warning. Did you check my box, I got one too, but for a different reason.
