Bush typically met with the families in private. He rarely if ever invited the White House Press Corps. to take pictures of his visits. Obama brought the press pool photographers with him and they were asking families if they could take pictures at Dover with Obama paying his respects/posing for the cameras.

Sadly, the left press is using this WH created photo op. to try to illustrate that somehow Obama cares more than Bush did. Bush met with the families in private and without the press. To each his own. Obama loves the cameras and the cameras and the press love him.


New York Times editorial stated: "Mr. Obama's visit was entirely appropriate as he faces the decision of what comes next in Afghanistan. The pity is President Bush never dared as much."
