Why would the idea of a gay man frighten other males so much?

I am on another board ta the mo, and you get the usual, gays are disgusting in threads. I wonder what is it about gays that really trouble straight males?

Is it
1) The idea that males, do not like female private parts?
2) The idea that males may fancy them in some way?
3) The insecurities in side themselves to protect there hetero feelings?

Personally i think alot of straight males, do not like the fact that absolute gay males, do not like female private parts. I really think thats the most important reason why straight males just do not like the idea of gays.

Alot of gays would find the idea of straight sex disgusting but no one ever says it, we just hear that gay sex is wrong, and disgusting. Looks like the majority runs the show, yeppy.

What do you guys think, about this, and whats the real, reason why you people think straight males hate gay males so much? Personally i think its no1, but of course there are lots of bi males, who can have sex with both males and females, but i am talking about all out gay males.

Can't really provide you with any incites.

I've never been struck by fear when in the proximity of gay males.

Perhaps more males then not are just indifferent!

I also have no issue with gay people.

Sorry that I cannot provide you with more incite, but I thought it important to point out that there are plenty of us who think logically and dont hate based on personal lifestyle....

On another board we have this thread where all it is is gays are animals, and are disgusting.

I think the main reason males feel like that is that real gays, do not like female privates at all. I think thats what troubles them, alot.

There are bound to be some homophobes here, but here is more of a accepting crowd, and we are more open.

On the other board, my thread got closed, i just wanted answers from those who thoughts gays where disgusting to just say why they felt that way. Only one person answered, and he answered like you. But the mods close my thread, and let the thread where gays are called animals, to still go on, lol.

The reason why i asked, is you know i always talk about how i found out they used mind control in schools in 1992, when i was doing my alevels. They used mind control to find out what i felt about females, and what i thought about females and males and all that.

They just took my thoughts and ridiculed me so bad, for feeling that way. You be amazed what i went through, i just had to leave. People are so ffing evil, especially the people who did this to me.

I just think its the main reason why males do not like gays, as i found out, to my cost.

Agreed. I think there is also a large faction of the "the bible says it's wrong" crowd.

And honestly, I have seen multiple sites that do what you say: deleting the threads asking why or that are pro-gay, while letting the bashing continue. It has always fascinated me.

I hope that you get some responses here, I'm interested in seeing what the hate crowd has to say....

I have no problem with gay guys, they can be alot of fun.

... but I dont think it has anything to do with gay's not like female bodyparts, I dont think the hate gets that complex.

Personaly I think it has to do with straights thinking that gay guys might be checking them out, or fantasizing about them, I also think it leads back to insecurities straight's might have about themselves, ... I mean, wasn't there a study that suggested most guys have, at one time or another fantasized about the same sex ?

depending on where u were raised it was traditional to have a male and female marriage and having gays interfering with that tradition is an absurd idea i guess.

Because deep down, we all know that gay guys are really lizard-dolk/grey-hybrids that are going to sodomize us and assimilate us Borg fashion.

Oh, hold on - nah, they're like everyone else, some people are good some are bad, it's just outside of some peoples comfort zone (moral or otherwise) and it leads them feeling threatened - most likely by their own emotions.

I only feel "icky" not scared!

Actually I know several gay men that I think are great, but I also know many "flaming gay" men that I would like to run over.

It really wouldn't matter what their sexual orientation is, it is the flamboyant over-the-top personality, and the constant attention seeking that gets to us straight men. Truth-be-told, we don't even like women that act that way. As I have matured, I am no longer attracted to "slutty" women, no matter how sexy they may be. I think the same probably goes for gay men.

Now, I love Prince, and a few other bisexual men, and I have had experiences that some of the "homophobes" would probably shreik and run from, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have always said that as soon as I am finished with all the women, I will turn gay and start on men!

Edit to add:
My boss is gay, and I think he is a great guy, and I would hang out with him. It doesn't make me feel "icky" to think of him having sex with his mate, but it does feel icky to think of cuddling up to a man and watching a movie! So, IMHO, it isn't even the sex, it is the intimacy and vulnerability issue that isn't acceptable among straight men.

I have a bit of a beef with it. It's not that I care what you do with who or even who or what you want to get married to. I couldnt care less. Liberty for all.

What gets me is I used to work at this job where I had to constantly deflect and refuse homosexuals trying to pick me up. Constantly. It's how a cocktail waitress must feel. It never ended.

I was complaining to some acquaintances about it and rather than thinking it was funny or something they immediately accused me of being some homophobic Nazi. Well, sorry, I just dig the idea of making it with a dude. Word of my "hate" spread and the results would have been comical if not as absurd as they were.

I dont know which was worse: the constant attempts at picking me up or the honest to goodness PC push to [snip] to prove I didnt irrationally hate another human being.

So to a certain group of people you cannot for any reason refuse the sexual advances of anyone ever or you're being a hateful bigot.

Another thing that irritates me that applies way too many people and in no way is gay exclusive or whatever is this picking a trait and becoming wholly absorbed in it. to the point that it rules every aspect of your life. I get it, you're Italian or Irish or from Texas or gay or Methodist or Mormon or you really like soccer or whatever the hell you are. Do you really need to cover your car with stickers, wear t-shirts announcing it, open every conversation with it, etc...? Really, you dont have any hobbies or anything and this is all you do?

But I dont encounter any of that stuff anymore. In the middle of nowhere with no neighbors. The way life should be. There really isnt anything more annoying or anything that can ruin a nice day quite like other people.

No i found out at school, it was just as much the female parts as much as liking other males. I found that the liking other males, was secondary, to the dislike of females. At school i do not think the liking other males, was not the problem, when they found out that i did not like the idea of females, that was the real problem.

If you do not hate gays, i think you cannot really answer. But like how they say that gays are unnatural, etc....

It boils down to "ignorance". Not knowing. I was homophobic early in life due to being raised in a military family. I got to know gay men later in life. They were the same, not really, they were more understanding than straights. Probably because of what they had to endure.

Secondly on "ignorance". Many straights feel that gay love extends to "ass sex". That scares the # out of them so to speak. I have know many gay men, have them in my immediate family and sodomy isn't their way of life. Hell, check any "straight" porn and you'll see much more sodomy than anywhere else.

Lastly, there's the bible people. What they don't get is that Jesus had no problem with Mary Magdelene. A prostitute. What if that had been Barry Magdelene? It could have been. The scriptures have been translated so many time what do they mean now? I know one thing though, Jesus taught tolerance, not hatred.

I found out at school, people have a real problem with it. The term scots use for males like this are fuds.

But i found out that it was not the male fancying male that got them, it was the fact of how i felt about the females parts that brought the hate.

People don't like highly unusual things, I think this is what is going on with obvious gays, not really the unnatural thing, because there isn't anything unnatural about it. I've found that the more obvious it is that a person is gay, the worse that person will be treated, in my opinion this is because it is so out of the ordinary.

Obligitory disclaimer: I have nothing at all against gay people, am not homophobic, etc.

Looking at the issue from the broadest possible perspective, I do think that there needs to be a distinction between "fear," "dislike" and "disagreement." Some people may fear gays. Some may simply dislike them or find their habits unpalatable (even if this is wrong, it is not the same as being "frightened"). And some may disagree with political issues like gay marriage, for religious or other reasons, say. These latter two groups are not "frightened" by gays. They just don't like them. or pehaps happen to disagree about one specific issue.

Labeling all people who happen to disagree with one as "frightened" is a rhetorical trope often called a "shaming tactic." That is, Person A happens to disagree with Person B about any given issue. Person A then says person B is "scared" or uses some other form of personal attack to try and make Person B ashamed, rather than addressing the arguments or true motives of Person B. Happens all the time in human relations and disagreements...not only in cases involving gay people.

On the other board, i had lots of hatful replies, but here too many people are open to things, lol.

Scots have a term for a male that i describe, he is called a fud. SO i must be right on some matters, but like i said, the hate i got at school, was due to not liking females parts and not did i fancy my male friends. Although that did bring about problems at the end.

I think you will find alot of males feel this deep down that they hate gays for this reason. But no one ever wants to just say it out loud.

LOL! I see gay people all the time here in Iraq. These iraqi guys hold hands in public and kiss each other. I ask a terp why they prefer men and they tell me that women are for babies but men are for pleasure.

Sorry, can't help you out with that one. I'm straight and like the female parts. Just the way I'm wired, same as gays are wired to be attracted to what they are.

Funny that straight men don't have a problem with lesbians though, isn't it?

i think if a man is homophobic about gay men, he himself is a closet gay!

quentin crisp was battered for being gay in the 50's or 60's by queer bashers, who he said were queer themselves!
