Petrified Alien Found At Wright Patterson in 2003?

I was doing a search in the news archives and I found two interesting articles concerning McCook Field.

The first one doesn't really concern UFO's, but I though it was interesting.

I went looking through NICAP's archive of "airship" sightings and while I didn't find any from McCook specifically or the period 1917-27 in the area of Ohio, I did run across this famous 1932 picture showing a saucer-shaped craft hanging in the sky. Turns out it was taken in St. Paris, OH...just a few miles west of what was then Wright Field:

Not known for particle accelerators so perhaps a bogus title.
An electron forced into a nucleus proton will form a neutron and neutrino.
Thus the atomic weight remains the same and one less electron for
orbit results.
Don't know if going up in atomic weight is possible for large atoms.
Not that much into atomic physics so don't know when atom smasher
van de graff was made or Tesla made his atom smashing coils.
Tesla's coils and equipment are much more mobile than two story
towers.

I can't find the table of contents now, but I came across it a day ago. I believe the section was simply titled "The Saga Continues"

It's pretty obvious the Postcript to the history, THE SAGA CONTINUES, is a smart ass reference to Wright Patterson being embedded in public perception as "That place where they keep those aliens."

It must be a running joke, for people who work there. "Little Green Men" has been the mocking reference to alien visitations for half a century.

That the picture of the plastic toys was not mentioned initially, demonstrates not an attempt at deception so much as a struggle to find anything resembling evidence of extraterrestrial life.

If there was a shred of truth to this humorous piece, it would be the biggest story in recorded history. Thousands of writers, researchers, academics, historians would be on top of it. The writer could quit his job and become the most famous journalist in the world.

Most of the events of Aviation History seem true so we can only assume
this story is a summation of sorts of an official saga and perks up the ET
legend with a recent find.
Or a case of making up past history.
As if there is something the local or past worker should not forget.

ED: I figure the elite or TPTB are setting up the DR for his name
to be attached to another ET episode. They did it once before and
they can do it again.

UK, that's my bad. I took those pics and didn't even think to copy down that text, though I should have guessed somebody would ask about it. I glanced at it and saw a description of the toys pictured, something (very paraphrased) to the effect of, "Floating Little Green Alien Children's Toy, Made By Fisher Price" or something like that, so i didn't pay any attention to it. I don't think it contains any additional text of relevance, but I'll drop by again tomorrow just to make sure. Now that I know in which corner of the basement the "US GOVT DOCS" section is located...

I know someone mentioned they were going to contact the publisher or author of the article but I don't see a follow-up besides the call to Dr. Russo. I sent the publisher an informal email requesting more info about the hoax.

Hopefully they will respond.

Hello Everybody, I am new here but look forward to getting to the bottom of the alien existence. We will have to dig deep in history and see hidden things in the mist of many many fake things that aer untrue.

For this post, I was hoping it could be true even though it looked like something fake. Then it's obvious that this is not meant to be true when they say the alien is called "LGMFE" Little green man from elsewhere.

But here something what I have done. I tought that this was something to do with some game viral marketing. Therefore I created new gmail account and send email to Vincent Rosso to his aol.com email. I think that lets play this viral marketing game...I wrote him about 10 hours ago:

"Mr. Rosso. Our records at Facility says that you are familiar with alien race issues. We have here two alien bodies. Could you help us on this one?

Ok, next I've tried to logged into gmail after 5hours from email sended.
Google says: "Account is disabled due to violate of....blaablaa and there was a form where I can give my phone number.

WTF!!! This was fast response from Google. At least this test point out that Google is watching us more than I thought. Question is: Why my account were disabled. Maybe this is related to after 9/11 terrorist act and because Vincent is true person and even high-ranked officer the every emails were investigated or something like that. At least, this was very weird event. Should I now wait for black copters? :-D One email about aliens to officer and thats it...huh. I think this could be evidence that I hit the very sensible subject!!

There are no alien bodies, my email to Russo was made in that assumption that whole Russo and "saga continues" article were part of some viral marketing. Therefore I test this theory by sending email about aliens but obviously as my account is disabled this were not viral marketing but maybe true case. I just don't see the reason here to disable account by one single shot unless this is really related to something big. Even the sender (me) could be lunatic alien believer, they should not disable gmail account...I cannot believe that's the reason.

Of course, Google maybe part of this viral marketing ;-)

90% of the readers of this thread are non-ATS members.

Having had some experience in this area, my guess is that dozens, maybe hundreds of teenagers have been alerted to this thread, have tracked Russo and tried contacting him.

His email box may suddenly be swamped to the point where he requested Google intervention.

This sort of thing goes on a lot these days especially with ATS messages hitting the front pages of Google.

I work at Wright-Patt, I know Dr. Russo and the historians at the Aeronautical Systems Center who wrote the article referred to in this thread...Since I frequently interact with the public, and get asked about "the aliens," I checked into this. Here's what I uncovered:

The story "The Saga Continues" in the book Home Field Advantage, was
tongue-in-cheek satirical fiction. According to base historians who
authored the story, the "alien" found was a small plastic child's toy, which
served as the story's inspiration. Its inclusion was meant to be a humorous
aside to the many significant events in aviation and aerospace history that
have taken place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base over the years.
Incidentally, "Hangar 14" referred to in the story, is actually Building 14,
which serves as the headquarters for Aeronautical Systems Center, where Dr. Russo once served as executive director.
