This is great to get an idea of the difference in mag. It's massive.
Puts it into understandable language. Thanks.

Yup. It updated right after I posted.

Do you know how long a tsunami would take to reach Hawaii from Samoa?

I guesstimate the distance at about 2000 miles.

CNN is saying it's 5 feet that hit the island, doubt Hawaii will see anything dangerous then.

Uh: Fox news is giving different heights than CNN, I don't think anyone knows yet.

Wow, that's an impressive quake. With luck there won't be any fatalities from the Tsunami. Though relatively speaking better in the ocean/seas than on land & near population.

The quake has been upgraded to Mg 8.3 (per Fox)

The local Tsunami is being reported as 3 to 4 meters peak to peak with several hundred yard run up.

It's pretty much a straight shot to Hawaii.

I have webcams in a thread here throughout the Pacific.

Have no clue where the thread is here now - so I am just going to link the whole list from the blog.

Interesting... I Google-Earthed the exact coordinates, and it happened where there's a trench of some sort... A trench in the ocean (not the Mariana).

But it dips down to about -22,000 feet where it hit. Nothing significant, I'm sure. Just interesting...

Report has come in saying a 10 Foot tsunami has hit Samoa already.

I have never been able to find webcams there.

Very good webcam in Fiji

You will know if something may be coming, if the water starts receding from the coast lines while watching webcams.

I would like to know if anyone has any idea how to see if HAARP was in use at the time of this quake?

This thread here has some info on the US Navy using HAARP but I can't find where to see HAARP's activities. www.abovetopsecret.com...
