Are we already living in the world of 1984? Every Restaurant has televisions turned to mind numbing content. This technology wasn't available until
only a few years ago AND WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TURN THEM OFF.
Every prime time show has more commercials than show content.
Our Media is Government owned and run. Even the news that seems to be somewhat real isn't news it is opinion. Where are the investigative
reporters? How is this like 1984? Well, they spin the news to gain ratings and push our beliefs in the direction of their choosing!
We are in a constant state of war that has no site of end. That war changes and we are fed the new war as if its simply okay and expected. We are
told of constant threats to our national security and brainwashed into thinking that these threats are eminent and real. How many threads on this
site alone can show that 9/11 is at the very least suspicious? Look at the past several decades list of wars and conflicts:

We are exposed to thousands of advertisements, melting our brains even more. Brainwashing? In fact, when is the last time you read a book?

There is so much sex and violence on television that the family unit is already falling apart and isn't exactly encouraged by our government. In

Divorces plague our nation and we are told it is perfectly normal.
The teaching of abstinence(which I find completely unnatural) seems to have taken hold and is difficult to argue against in many suburban communities
and the federal government spends $170 million every year to teach it, even though the research shows safe sex is of course much more effective:

Our children are taught the pledge of allegiance far before they understand it, so essentially they are pledging allegiance before they can make their
own choice! To top that off we don't even teach them civics in school any more! Why do we find it funny that Jay Leno can do the "Jay Walk",
