German Scientists Call for 'World Climate Bank'

German climatologists are pushing for the creation of a "world climate bank" which would allow industrialized countries to purchase emission rights from less-developed nations. The revenues would enable poor countries to finance environmentally friendly economic development.

In other words, what they want is a legal means for "underdeveloped" nations to legally extort other nations. Just what we need: the cap and tax scheme on a global scale. Let's just hope this idea doesn't gain any traction.

The last thing we need is a global "carbon tax." Saving the environment from pollution is one thing, but the "carbon credit" scheme is just that: a scheme for one group to profit from another, that will do nothing to help anyone but those profiting.

The WBGU experts are proposing that industrialized countries could buy "emission rights" from less-developed countries if they want to continue emitting higher levels of CO2. They suggest setting up a "world climate bank" which would allow industrialized nations to buy emissions quotas from countries with lower levels of CO2 output.

That's a specific as that article gets. I don't know if this would be in addition to the currently proposed "cap and trade" legislation or not.

Why don't you all read a book to see what will happen if we don't limit global warming - seriously - the truth will scare the absolute crap out of you.

This system is designed to allow developing countries the right to produce green house gas emissions through development just as everyone in the west did and profited from - why should they be prevented from profiting just becuase we caused the problem. They can then sell that right to industrial nations. Which part of this is unfair exactly ?

I'm not saying we should continue to pollute ... but manmade global warming is probably a sham. A volcanic eruption puts out more greenhouse gas than humans have in the past 200 years.

The truth is, global warming is a new scare that was created in the late 1980s when the Communist scare was running out. There were some major fire in Yellowstone in 1988 and the weather was getting hotter (this is due to the sun) and the globalists saw an opportunity to create a global government based on a global crisis.

That's the problem. The so called "truth" that those pushing the lie of man-made global warming is designed specifically to "scare the crap out of you." It's scaremongering to further their agenda.

I could ask why you don't read some of the scientific reports dispelling the human-caused global warming myth, but that would be presumptuous of me.

Ok the idea by the germans is that rather than having companies who sell carbon credits (like the one owned by Al Gore) and then buy them for less from 3rd world nations, it would be a gov't body doing the re-selling.

The money is supposed to goto projects that are green but this definition is very loose and most of the carbon credit companies don't really check to make sure. Some "green" projects are just paying people to not cut down more trees.

My biggest issue is that some countries have unlimited carbon limits so thery can sell as many as they want. The carbon credit system the EU set up is already corrupted heavily. So no one is suggesting we hold back 3rd world nations, I just think we should not be subsidizing there industrial revolution.

I have read probably a thousand technical papers on global warming, and dozens of books - I can assure you it is not a conspiracy. The global elite have resisted the idea of AGW as fiercely as they were able - and have come to realise that it is dangerous to do so and have now put down their self interested motives for a collective solution.

Tell me, how often have you looked for information which backs up your argument compared to the technical reports of scientists ?

There is absolutely not one single theory outside of AGW which can explain the deviation in temperature we are witnessing this past half century. Nothing. Any theory put forward by alternative sceptics is always looked at thoroughly and in depth to the absolute fullest as any alternative solution to the issue would be more than welcomed by the EVERYONE however the truth is that it is us.

As for your "science" regarding volcanic eruptions - consider for one second will you that we have been having eruptions forever, more in previous times than now during certain phases, and here we are in a temperature abnormality that can NOT be explained by volcanic activity.

Just think about your logic.

I have looked at almost every thing that sceptics have put up - some more fantastic than others, the rality is that everything which is put forward has been looked at and found to be untrue. Sorry that's the simple truth - the solar activity theory has been proven wrong about a hundred times but sceptics simply can not get their heads around it.

There are no scientist of any note or number who continue to put hold out that AGW is a fallacy - for example Professor Bob Carter, from James Cook University claims there is no evidence for AGW and cites much evidence, however this evidence is never considers the fact that the conclusions are simply wrong, that the evidence he cites has subsequently been proven to be wrong, or was a measurement - he will simply refuse to consider ANY evidence which contradicts his own , no matter HOW illogical that is.

This does not take into consideration of hybridisation which is the main cause for plant yield increase, nor does it even consider than plants suffocate at too high carbon levels, nor that oceans are acidified at moderate level, in fact the leading scientific body of Australia has tried to direct Prof Carter to evidence which undermines his entire premise. Now the evidence is so broad and so definitive that finding fault with it is going to require some exceptional evidence, yet, the only things ever produced are remote, already dismissed theories or wild conspiracies without any evidence or even logic to back them up - in fact conspiratorially the opposite has actually been true, there is significant amounts of evidence that Big OIL and the US government have been conspiring to foster doubt as the the veracity of global warming claims.

Finally the idea of a conspiracy simply does not even work, it requires a cabal of some sort, and organised group of committed people, however gloibal warming is a collective science of individuals all acting on their own thousands upon thousands of them all providing irrefutable proof of the same thing - how on earth is this conspiracy being carried out - have the powers that be somehow collective altered the rules of science, physicist, maths, along with some global means of bribing hundreds of thousands of scientists? Or is it vastly more logical that corporations and big oil with vested commercial interests have fostered doubt amongst a very small easily bribed selection of willing scientists in order to promote their business as usual ideology - come on. Think about it man,
