30 ft Cone-Shaped Object Lands on California Ranch...

Three California witnesses had an unusual experience during and after they watched a 30-foot-long and 20-foot-tall cone-shaped object with portholes that had either landed or was hovering slightly above their ranch, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

One of the best UFO testimonies in my opinion. Unfortunately, I can find no pictures of the object anywhere on the net. If any of you have additional info, please add.

A fourth witness arrived later and was there for the final event.

The original three witnesses first noticed a “bluish light.” But looking closer, it was
described as “actually portholes that were illuminated from within. There were three on the bottom in a row, one above-right/center, above that one was another single illuminated porthole left-center and then two on the top.”

The object was between 300 and 400 feet away at it was hovering silently at ground level.

After watching for five minutes, they grabbed a few items and got into a truck to move toward it, but then noticed that the object “was just gone.”

They believe the object may also have landed.

They returned to the scene 20 minutes later, and heard a series of “click” sounds
coming from the trees around them. They moved away from the area.

Then a fourth witness stopped by to examine the area, and they “witnessed an
extremely bright 'swish' in the western sky.”

What followed was the appearance “as if the atmosphere ‘opened up’ for a millisecond and an object ‘went inside’ or poked through and then the atmosphere closed up leaving a ‘swirling’ motion in the sky. A ‘wormhole’ or porthole’?”

I am a retired Detective with 25 years as a peace officer. With me was a marketing director for a national company and my 17 year old son. We live on a large ranch. It was 9:30 PM when I entered the inside of our home. As I looked out our kitchen window, I noticed extremely bright "bluish" lights which upon further observation were actually portholes that were illuminated from within. There were three on the bottom in a row, one above-right/center, above that one was anothersingle illuminated porthole left-center and then two on the top.

The object was approximately 300-400 feet from where I was watching it. I thought initially that someone was in my field illegally with a truck and trailer.

As I watched, I noticed that it was apparently hovering and made no noise. I immediately concluded that it was not a motor vehicle of any kind and noted that it made no noise whatsoever. As I was watching it, my friend came running out to the back deck asking what it was and then my son came, asking what the bright lights were. We spent approximately 5 full minutes trying to figure out what it was.

Totally perplexed, I got my flashlight, gun and we all got into my truck which was parked in front of my house. We drove around the house and noticed that the object "was just gone". We drove to the exact location in which there are many trees that are part of our nursery. They are approximately 15-20 feet tall. At no time did we see anything "fly away", flash of light or anything. It was just gone. Had it been a motor vehicle of any kind, there would have been tracks, dust,etc. Additionally, my ranch is fenced in with one way in-out. I got out of my truck and approached the landing-hovering site to look
and obtain physical evidence.

The area in which the craft was located consisted of soft,thick dust that had just been sprayed with water several hours earlier. I found absolutely no physical evidence whatsoever. There is debate within the three of us if the craft was in fact hovering or had actually landed. The brilliance of the light in which the craft produced was "unearthly" and like nothing I have ever witnessed in my life. I had no logical explanation for what had happened and this incident defied the laws of physics. No sound, no con trail, no disturbed soil, no bent trees, nothing.

We drove back to the house. Extremely bothered by what we had just witnessed, my son and I returned to the area approximately 20 minutes later. I was not afraid but intrigued by what had occurred. I turned off my truck, noting it was a beautiful moonlight night, and the moon was extremely bright.

As we were re examining the area, we both hear a loud bizarre "click" noise off to our right in the area of green houses. We looked into the nearest green house when we heard another distinct loud "click", this time coming from a thicket of trees. As we approached this area, we heard another distinct "click" noise coming from behind us in another thicket of trees. We heard a total of 5 distinct loud "click" noises. In all honesty, the "clicking" noises were coming from all around us and after the fifth one, it was a little eerie (even though we could see nothing with our flashlights) and I instructed my son to return to my truck and we left.

It reminds me of the "Skinwalker Ranch" occurrence, wherein they spoke of they sky seeming to "open up" into "another dimension".

Hehe, reminds me of the movie Signs. When Gibson was in the corn field with his flashlight he can hear the aliens communicating using a clicking sound.

I guess they'd be familiar with the local insect life to know it wasn't anything they were used to hearing.

Very interesting. I have seen something that matches this description perfectly.

While I was holidaying in a small settlement on the west coast I was out walking at night, which I love doing because the sky is so amazing there... no light pollution to block the starlight.

Anyway I remember looking up straight in front / above me and seeing a vibrant blue swish which went from south to north. It looked similar to a miniature rainbow, and was about the thickness of your pinky if you hold it out at arm's length. I passed it off as a meteor and still believe that's probably what it was, but reading this made me think twice!

Very well presented article OP, thankyou. I could almost see the visual of the described scene as you told the story.

I hope that the end part where they all the sudden got fearful of reprisal was all they were fearful of, this was a great opportunity for the family and not something to be feared.

the "cone shapped" craft, the clicking and the sky that seemingly opened up are three distinct reminders of my experience -

For the sake of simplicity, there appeared to be ships that were not of this world. Like a gathering of some sort. One ship I called “man of war.” The object appeared translucent but the outline could be seen and there were three faint lights I believed to be the front of this object. These “man of war” objects reminded me of jelly fish. This particular object would become quite bright occasionally. This object was cone shaped, however, not as elongated at an ice cream cone. Mark became obsessed. I was obsessed. I wanted to understand what was happening. At this point I was beginning to believe we were going to be invaded. Mark did not share my belief. Over the course of time, Mark noticed a star formation that was present only during those nights we observed the gatherings. This star formation was also in cone shaped with three stars in front and one star behind more like an ice cream cone.

the "clicking" sound happened after a hugh cargo plane flew over our house w/no running lights around 11PM after which we heard a man talking (just 1 man) and no evidence of speaking over a walkie talkie w/the stastic but then we heard the clicking sound coming from two differenct and opposite directions.

mark witnessed the sky changing or rolling away.

this is quite disturbing to me as this has been a long time since last encounter.

Here is another ufo case involving the clicking sound.Im only posting a snippet of it so follow the link if you would like to read the whole thing.

"We were on the path and moving away from the tree and light when we heard a low, crisp, clicking sound. It was a sound I have heard again over my life, but this was my first experience encountering it. It sounded like a mix of a water sprinkler that clicks across the lawn and then returns. You know that click, click, click,-mixed with the sound of bugs on a hot summer's night. That is the best I can explain it. I love this part of the article. How can you see a 30 ft. wide/20 ft. tall cone and not know it's color?

The thing I don't get though...Are there really that many people that don't have a camera phone? I understand that there are some who don't, but for every "I've seen a ________", there's gotta be at least a few who are able to take pictures.

Ya or MAYBE its more true to form and easier to believe that the original poster did in fact watch Signs, thus this report...all fabricated..isn't that more likely????!

Why don't people carry cell phones with cameras on them during such stories? ....Maybe they do and don't work? ..You never hear about that....
