Bill and Hillary Clinton both have approval numbers higher then Obama's.

Obama is sitting at an approval rate of 47% with 39% strongly disapproving.

Rasmussen Reports

Bill and Hillary approval numbers

In the Rasmussen Reports survey, 58 percent of respondents said they view the former president favorably, and 40 percent view him unfavorably. A Rasmussen poll released last week found that 53 percent of respondents have a favorable opinion of Hillary, and 43 percent have an unfavorable view

I'm wondering if Hillary will make a run for it in 2012.
Obama's approval numbers have slid 30 points in 6 months - from 77% down to 47%.
Usually those of the same party don't challenge a sitting POTUS at reelection time.
But then ... Hillary isn't the 'usual' candidate.
What I mean by that is that she's more tenacious.
It's like she can taste it ... being the first female POTUS and the power ....
Kinda like a shark smells blood.
I'm wondering if she smells blood in the water and if she'll go for it in 2012.
(if there is a country left)
She recently said she no longer has the White House in her sights.
But if given the opportunity I can't help but think she'll change her mind.
It's only been a short year ago that she was fighting to get in the Oval Office.
And she's working for a man she clearly doesn't like.
Bumping him would be sweet revenge for her.

Keep smoking what You are smoking and drinking the Kool-Aid. The Democrats will be blamed for the total destruction of the economy plus all the new carbon and healthcare taxes. If We are lucky We will see the first Libertarian or Constitutionalist which will be the first step out of many in getting rid of taxes and the social services You love so much. Hey maybe We will also have a bloody revolution too and all the Liberals and Neo-Cons will have to go through constitution classes for one week out of the year until YOU people get the hint.

I can't wait for my fellow alleged radical left wing kool-aid drinkers to show up.
This should be a real hoot!

Yep. The dems (Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, Obama) as well as Bush43 who massively overspent in the last 2 years of his term.

If We are lucky We will see the first Libertarian or Constitutionalist

Yep. That's why I voted Constitution Party in 2008.

which will be the first step out of many in getting rid of taxes and the social services You love so much.

I'm still laughing. In fact, I'm laughing so damn hard that I can't even find the words to respond to that.

until YOU people get the hint.

*I'm still laughing* Until 'you people' get the hint? Which people would that be? Perhaps those who have no friggn' idea what they are talking about and who they are talking to, but post typical chat-room insults anyways? (just to be clear - that'd be you that I'm referring to.)

I stand by my non-partisan statement. I'm wondering if Hillary might pull a slick move and try to oust Obama in 2012. She and Bill got stepped on in 2008. Even their best bud Richardson from New Mexico spit in their faces. But looking at poll numbers - which I know can change - and looking at the fact that people are waking up to what Obama really is .... hmmmmm .... I'm wondering if SHE is wondering about giving it a try.

Usually the party members don't challenge a sitting POTUS of their own party. However, this is Hillary we are talking about. Ya' never know ...

No, no more Clintons, no more Democrats, no more Marxist demagogues.

We need a new party that revolves around the principles of the Constitution as it was approved in 1787.

I'm with ya. I don't want her in. I'm just saying that her poll numbers are much better than Obama's at this point and it was just one short year ago that she was hell bent on getting into the Oval Office. I'm wondering if SHE is wondering about making a run for it in 2012 ... if his numbers keep falling that is. It's too early to know for sure of course. But with her better poll numbers and perhaps a few specially placed (by the Clintons) problems for Obama .... he could easily be on the way out.

Of course, he could continue to screw it up and do the job of getting himself kicked out for her. She might not have to lift a finger.

The Constitution Party is already established and it does pretty well. The Libertarians are also well established and I think in a better position to take the Oval Office someday. IMHO

For me the american election is so effing boring and i will not be watching another.

Obama says bull and people drivel at his feet, whats the point in democracy. If you need an example of mob rule, just look at how they voted in obama.

No other candidate had a chance, with all the time the press pushed that guy.

I agree. And it took a comedy show, Saturday Night Live, to actually say it outloud on TV.

This is a conspiracy site. I'm wonderinging if we'll be seeing a political conspiracy unfold. Does the shark, Hillary, smell blood in the water? Will she run a Clintonesque operation to finish the destrucition of Obama, which Obama himself has gotten well underway? Will Obama finish himself off, politically, and will Hillary step in the new saviour in 2012?

I know that, at this point, it's speculation. But it's an interesting thought.
And considering the players - it's something that could easily happen. IMHO

Maybe as a McDonalds french fry ambassodor.Nope ....no democrats or republicans, they had their chance. If there is an election in 2012,. I feel that a 3rd party will be in chrage...should be in charge. The clintons are just another Elite groupe that needs to go away.

Yes and she is definitely a barracuda, backed to the hilt by Monsanto and the Banksters. If Obama tanks as much as I think he will, I agree, she will probably run. The Banksters are trying to hold off the deep depression for a while longer so they can get all their socialist goodies through Congress.

I am hoping more people wake up and understand the US middle class doesn't have much "wealth" left to be Confiscated by the government to pay for all those socialist goodies. When your life style just got trashed and you can barely make pay your bills, you are going to go looking for a scape goat. Obama and the welfare leeches are the target.

People are getting nervous and the White House propaganda is not working any more. They are sick and tired of being lied to by the DemiRats and ReBooblicans, I hope they all vote third party in 2010! I doubt whether this depression will turn around by November 2010 so it just might happen.

Obama's only hope is to do some major trimming on government services, red tape and taxes so small businesses have a chance to form and grow.

For example if I want to take my bottle lamb to the farmers market and have kids hold the lamb so I can take a picture, I need the following
Insurance
Photography license
Sales tax number
city vendor's license
USDA license
USDA inspections of my refrigerator, bath cabinets, everything painted, no rust, fences to USDA specification ($200,000 dollars).....I also need to inform the USDA every time I leave my property during working hours since I will be fined if not present for a surprise inspection)
Vet health certificate
Incorporation papers (so some one doesn't claim their kid got sick and sue. Insurance no longer covers illness from animals.)
Accountant ($1500/yr for corporate income tax filing)

All that so I can make a hundred bucks (gross) or less on weekends!

Obviously, I decided NOT to try to earn money this way. I wonder how many other small businesses were stillborn for the same type of reasons and how many of the 80% that fail after startup are because of all the red tape.

Myself I don't believe that Hillary presidential ambitions are dead but I could be wrong . As Secretary of State Hillary racks up experience all the while her job helps her avoid the worst of partisan politics . So IMO if Obama poll numbers were to sink around to around the eighteen percent mark I could see Hillary making a run for her party nomination . It wouldn't be a first RFK used the unpopularity of the Vietnam War to make a run against LBJ . If I recall correctly a lot of the infrastructure projects that are part of the so called stimulus bill are meant to kick in around 2010 , which is very politically convenient .

Thanks for the morning laugh moonbat

I can definitely see the Clinton armada pulling off some tricks to throw Obama off center and into a disastrous wobble. The woman has been overshadowed since her appointment to SoS. Furthermore, she is seething at the fact that Rahm Emanuel, her nemesis, has more power and authority in the current administration than she does. The bad blood goes back to Rahm's early days with Billy when he was demoted from presidential policy adviser to the office of the White House Press Secretary. Legend has it that it was Hillary who pushed for his removal and subsequent demotion.

She and Bill are just waiting in the wings for another chance at a Clinton Camelot. Puke

My understanding is that a sitting president still has to be renominated by his/her party . Usually this is just a formality although as I have mentioned above it is not unheard of for a sitting president to face genuine opposition from within his own party . Since smoke filled rooms no longer decided who a party nominee is going to be any more I guess Hillary would have to go thou the primary's process again like she did during the last presidential cycle . I welcome any Americans to correct me if I am wrong about any of this .

Things would have to be in REAL dire straights before anyone risked party unite in such a way .

I definitely think Hillary will make another run. But, I think she will wait til 2016. Unless things make a SERIOUS turn around before the 2012 election, Obama is dead in the water. He's only been in office 8 months and the changes he has brought are not what too many people wanted. Even Democrats turning against him and he's got three more years to do his damage. I don't think the Dems have a chance in hell of winning in 2012, so she will sit it out and go for 2016.

If we even make it to 2012 without a major uprising, I will be surprised.

I won't take your bet because I hope you are correct. At least an independent will not have an established intravenous feed from the public trough like the DemiRats and ReBooblicans do.

Which is normal, when reality issues (economic crisis, wars not going well, etc) catches up with election campaign slogans.

So there was actually people out there who though Obama would change everything for the better in six months? Probably the same people who thought the US needed a 'black' President more than an experienced President (and in all the excitement forgot that Barack H. Obama isn't black, but half white, half black, and only the white part is American. What more is, the Afro-American community represents approximately 13% of the American population, which makes it a minority. Why would any democratic country need a President 'representing' a minority, and wouldn't a Hispanic President be better in that case, since it's a bigger minority? The biggest minority in American politics is without doubt women, the 'other half' of humanity, so the most democratic minority President would have been a female President).

You left out the neo-cons and the rest of the Republican party, which has been pissing on the Constitution for quite a while now.

I think you are right, FF. Even though it goes against protocol to oppose a sitting prez if you are of the same party, I sense much frustration and anger in Hillary. It would not surprise me if she ran against Obama in 2012.

She has been shuffled off to the sidelines instead of becoming the beacon she was promised. She's as mad as a wet hen!

If she waits that long then the 'bloom will be off the rose' so to speak.
She's already starting to look a bit haggard.
8 years from now and she'll look like an old lady.
That didn't work well for McCain. (looking like an old man).

At this point, if we do have elections, I"m wondering about the Hillary factor. I can't see her just going away quietly. And her recent statement about not wanting to be POTUS now ... I think it's just a smoke screen for when she decides Obama isn't up to the job and that she has to run in 2012 ... 'for the good of the party and the country'.
