I absolutely hate Facebook and with good reason

If the government ever asked the public to share all their photo's with them or wanted to know who your family is and your friends, where you socialise, where you go on holiday, absolutely everything about your life, you would refuse.

SO WHY when the CIA launch what can only be described as "Project Facebook" do the sheeple go along with it.

Even if you try to tell them they look at you like you are dumb yet you can hear the whistling of the wind travelling between their ears.

Facebook has 20 million users worldwide, is worth billions of dollars and, if internet sources are to be believed, was started by the CIA.

More Info

I suppose when most people realise exactly what facebook is all about the noose will be too tight around their necks to do anything.

Facebook's privacy policy

Just for fun, try substituting the words 'Big Brother' whenever you read the word 'Facebook'

1 We will advertise at you "When you use Facebook, you may set up your personal profile, form relationships, send messages, perform searches and queries, form groups, set up events, add applications, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalised features."

2 You can't delete anything "When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information."

3 Anyone can glance at your intimate confessions "... we cannot and do not guarantee that user content you post on the site will not be viewed by unauthorised persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the site. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of user content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other users have copied or stored your user content."

4 Our marketing profile of you will be unbeatable "Facebook may also collect information about you from other sources, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services, and other users of the Facebook service through the operation of the service (eg, photo tags) in order to provide you with more useful information and a more personalised experience."

5 Opting out doesn't mean opting out "Facebook reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications."

6 The CIA may look at the stuff when they feel like it "By using Facebook, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States ... We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the Facebook service or using the Facebook name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies."

And dont even get me started on Google why dont people use "Scroogle Scraper" it goes through google.

Otherwise

They will know you know man, lol.

Interesting. But the nasal, flat monotone of the liberal coed just doesn't do it for me. Neither do these silly "six degrees of separation" conjectures. Well, that's not entirely true.

The "guilt by association" idea worked quite well for me until I learned that hanging out with Bill Ayres and wife, Rev Jeramiah, Rahm & Zeke Emmanuel, ACORN, George Soros and COMINTERN were just simple coinky-dinks.

Now I don't sweat guilt by association - I mean hey! It's a small world!!!

Yeah, Facebook needs some publicity...a nice shot in the arm. No reason to hate them...just play nice and you'll be cool.

I can tell you with certainty that both the FBI and CIA already have a huge database on people that is sourced from Facebook. Virtually EVERYONE who uses it is already in the database. Also, believe it or not, as insane as it seems, there is a growing database of your tweets that you shoot back and forth on Twitter. I would recommend you be careful about what you say on Facebook or Twitter. You ARE being monitored.

For that matter, any social networking site is being monitored and backed up on a daily basis....so if you dont want anyone to know anything about you, keep it to yourself and dont broadcast it to the world.

That's not necessarily true. However, in the case of Facebook and Twitter, there is absolutely NO ARGUMENT AT ALL. But you're right in that you should be very, very careful what you say on Twitter and Facebook.

I love my Facebook! The only things the government/anyone else could learn from me and use against me from all my internettings are things that I do in bed, to be honest. And drinking, occasionally. Plus ATS.

No drugs, no stealing, no real awful law-breaking. So if they want to watch what I'm up to, so what? Just more fun for them.

Most people aren't interesting enough to be under surveilance. Really... the government doesn't care if you broke up with your girlfriend.

Actually it is true. People have lost their jobs because of pics that were posted on MySpace, even though they didnt post the pics themselves but the pics were of them. Private companies back up the networking sites on a daily basis and if a person applies for a job a potential employer can look you up and see what you have posted about yourself...

The way people think is that they dont give anything away about themselves on social networking sites yet we all know you can find out a lot about someone by rooting through their garbage.

That's cool that you're OK with the government monitoring you and your conversations, no matter how trivial they may seem to you now. You fit in with the rest of the growing number of complacent, indifferent Americans. And it's always good to be part of the crowd, isn't it? Your attitude is just as it's "supposed" to be.

Go on and tell me what they could possibly learn. My interests? My best friend is having a kid? I've had a few drinks?

I honestly don't know what they could use that information for. I support Obama, lol, I'm really open about my political views and I'm not afraid because there's nothing that I say that could really label me as a problem. I want the swine flu vaccine, I don't say bad things about my president, maybe it's because I'm not like the people who stand up to authority that I'm not afraid.

lol

this is actually great because half my friends that found me on facebook from my past really suck and aren't my friends anyway...

maybe the CIA will get something on some of them... like being two faced? Have they made that illegal yet?

Seriously lol... I'm glad I hooked up with some of my old friends some... even if it's a bit distressing to see how fat and bald some of them have gotten... (talking about ex girlfriends) I don't even want to go into how well some of the dudes from my years as a wanna be rock star are doing... eiiiiyyyyisshshh

I mean

I know the CIA is well aware now that I am a Water Sign and I Most Fear violent diarrhea while driving and.... and that I would be Spiderman if I was a super hero and.... and they know what music I like and how many states I have visited...

I do kind of Fetish on Megan Fox even though i'm allot older... and I just

I hope the CIA doesn't tell her, because that would be awkward and... I wouldn't want it to be like... weird for her or... or For Kiera Knightly if we ever meet... I just want them to feel comfortable and all...so I hope, i hope the CIA doesn't blab that's all

But somehow I just can't find it in me to give a damn despite all that... go figure.

I sometimes feel I am being watched by the CIA.

Creepy feeling, I feel this when I am talking about aliens and other stuff. They seem to cut me off at times.

this is all true - the CIA has an arm which dedicated to technology development and investment - as does the military - this is where facebook was developed from.

The CIA has all kinds of programs for this type of thing - all the photos on the site have Image recognition attached to build the Data base of social profiling...

I find this to be the most insidious and disturbing issue about the CIA - do not ever put your real name on social networking sites.

Don't forget LOTS of people have been loosing their jobs over posts on facebook all over the world.

Not to beat a dead horse but like I have said on many other threads like this one, the CIA or any other letter named government agency does NOT NEED facebook to know all there is to know about you. They have many other/better methods for that like credit card/bank info, cell phones, and medical records etc etc.

The only people that need to worry about facebook sharing their info are people who actually have something to hide.

Whatever government agency wants to look at my facebook can go right ahead, I have nothing to hide. Im not a terrorist...... unless you count bad jokes and pictures of me with stupid expressions on my face (not photogenic at all)

If the CIA was interested in you there are better ways to get the information than weeding through all of the face book users.

IP addresses are easily tracked, so are cell phone calls, text messages and the phone apps that many people like to use. There are also many low tech ways, the easiest is going through your garbage, having a stand in garbage truck pick up the trash on your street, how would you know if it wasn’t the usual garbage truck?

My point is using face book, my space ATS or the many other public forums to track your activity would require large teams for each public forum. Which I doubt they do unless you have done something that they need to track you for doing.

If you are really that concerned, you should just stay away from the internet period, they are probably tracking you, yes YOU, from the time you log on till you log off.

If you never post anything you would not want others to see, then you have nothing to worry about. Post only info that has to do with what is assumed about you.
