What's Wrong with Socialism?

The same happens within the country. Instead of having people prosper and giving even the poorest of people a chance to become wealthy, socialism makes everybody equally miserable and poor and succumb to the will of the government.

Don't get around much do you WT? Notice what countries have the highest standard of living.

See any socialist countries there.

You could very well be right.

Cliche statements like: Socialists, Obamabots, "they're Nazis!" and "Mullah Obama" show nothing but ignorance of the topics.

The never ending: "They're Terrosists" or "they're racists" don't help either.

And again. Still I stand by the critiques I have made in my post. There are without a doubt those who oppose obama based on race, and there are also those who are extremists that is in no way a critique of the entire spectrum of his opposition, just a portion.

Good grief!
That is because nobody has the strength to go through every line of that extremely long winded, bloated, 2-post diatribe.
Also, people don't like to respond to absurdity.

I realize you THINK you have made some good points but in reality you haven't.
I'm laughing at you and not with you.

Your entire rant boils down to this:

IF THEY do not like Obama's policy which include:

1) Massive increase in Government Debt.

2) Subsidizing of failed businesses. (GM, Chrysler, TARP)

3) Socializing of Heath care

4) Granting of MORE power to the FED.

5) More regulations.

6) More taxes.

7) Subsidization of Politically connected groups. (Green Industries, Unions, etc)

Therefore WE MUST BE RIGHT WING RACISTS with IDIOTIC ARGUMENTS.

Are you that much of a blowhard, that instead of debating some of these issues which is WHAT WE DISLIKE. You would rather, resort to projecting your own BRAND OF FALLACIOUS arguments AND DISTORTION OF REALITY AND RESORT TO THE SAME AD HOMINEM attacks YOU ACCUSE THE RIGHT OF partaking in.

What nerve!!

Because we don't like the policies we must therefore be racists right wing bigots!

Thanks for sharing your point of view. It would be to everyone's benefit to have a debate, but I guess that is asking too much?

You have a tendency of sharing really nothing but jabs and baseless critiques based on what appears to be your limited point of view.

ignorance anyone?

Do me a favor and point out anywhere in my thread that I made any generalization against all the people of the south.

Then when you are done with that how about contributing to the content of the thread.

Thanks.

You didn't. I was being proactive.

If the problem for Republicans is "McCAIN moderates" then why the hell did registered Republican voters vote him the nomination during the primary process?

Just askin!
You guys are a hoot!

Hardly. Perhaps you did not read my post. What I presented is evidence of the systematic rise of an extremist course of action that is debilitating political process. I did, with out a doubt, label SOME of the right in this post but defiantly not all. I am simply pointing out the rise of an extremist movement on the right that is contributing only discord and which is doing NOTHING for political process.

Are you that much of a blowhard, that instead of debating some of these issues which is WHAT WE DISLIKE.

I am actually trying to create a debate, why not participate? Personal attacks dont help BTW.

Curious what do you think my fallacious arguments are? What do you THINK about them and can you disprove them in any way?

Which ad hominem attacks?

Some clearly are.

How about we do a thread called The Rise of Stupidity and the Fall of Intelligence.

Because anybody who spends 2 days thinking about this thread can't be that smart. If he was then he would have know that its pretty much common knowledge that both parties are the same.

Obama has done everything Bush was hated for plus alot more.

So you can spend hours thinking about this far left liberal propaganda or you can admit to yourself that the line between Republican and Democrat has been pretty much crapped on.

I just told you why people don't want to respond directly. Why is that bad?

yet you have repeatedly?

Really? My response to you previously was the first one.
My other replies were directed to other members. I'm sure you knew that though.

Focus now and you might make some sense.

Thanks for sharing your point of view. It would be to everyone's benefit to have a debate, but I guess that is asking too much?

Again, you don't debate absurdity.
But here you go, here is my response....Everything you said is BS. How is that for a debate?

You have a tendency of sharing really nothing but jabs and baseless critiques based on what appears to be your limited point of view.

Thanks for noticing but this only happens when I respond to BS and absurd threads. Thanks.

Would be proud to host you as a guest

Cheers... and maybe, a lot less fussing, no?

Hardly. Perhaps you did not read my post.

Nope I read your post, alright.

What I presented is evidence of the systematic rise of an extremist course of action that is debilitating political process.
Please point out HOW exactly are people expressing themselves without the use of violence that is DEBILITATING the political process exactly. HAVE people stormed into congress and burned it down like the Reichstag? I think people expressing themselves without VIOLENCE is hardly DEBILITATING anything, much less the political process.

I did, with out a doubt, label SOME of the right in this post but defiantly not all. I am simply pointing out the rise of an extremist movement on the right that is contributing only discord and which is doing NOTHING for political process.
Again what exactly are you referring to that is being inhibited? You mean people protesting, showing up at town hall or meetings calling their congressman, and displaying their disgust with what is being done with their tax dollars....is inhibiting what?

The only thing I see remotely inhibited is Obama's policies, by these outcries, and if this IS WHAT YOU FIND DISTURBING or unconscionable, then the problem you have then is not with the right wingers, but with democracy and freedom of speech.

I am actually trying to create a debate, why not participate? Personal attacks dont help BTW.

Debate? What are you debating? I've summarized you ENTIRE POST. What's there to debate? You are not outlining issues here, you are making a STATEMENT ON HOW YOU SEE THINGS.

And how have I personally attacked you? Do you know what a blowhard is. Your post reeks of generalizations, and self aggrandizement, on the fact that you disregard the entire group/movement that has been building, SINCE THE BUSH administration and being CONTINUED by the current administration.

Curious what do you think my fallacious arguments are?
Quite right. That's because you are not making any. Rather you are painting broad normative generalizations, while at the same time claiming that the FEW nutters that espouse REAL BIGOTRY (of which by the way the left also has) negates the underlying issues, for which they are trying to bring to light.

What do you THINK about them and can you disprove them in any way?
Look, instead of focusing your efforts on writing a post which says basically:

Right wing groups, (tea parties, people who fly Gadsden flags, obama care protesters) are racists and inhibiting the political process by slowing down the OBAMA agenda, which I (Animal) LIKE and approve of.

You should focus on really pointing out RACISTS ARGUMENTS WHEN THEY DO occur here on ATS and point them out as fallacious, moronic and of course should be discredited.

Instead, you turn right around and paint entire groups as racists. Here you are playing into and NOW BEING A PART OF what your entire POST is all ABOUT.

Which ad hominem attacks?
Claiming that groups who dislike government growth, such as the ones involved in tea parties or recent protests of Obama care are crypto-racists. Don't you think this might be...might be...a BIG LEAP HERE?

Some clearly are.

I'll say!!!! The left is notorious for having deep racism...as well. What do you think unions thugs have say about undocumented construction workers, or those pesky Chinese "TAKING er" JOBS!!

Racism is clearly a two way street, here. You are not debating issues, rather by claiming the right is full of bigots, it SHOULD therefore negate any legitimate gripe OR discord being currently displayed which those groups of people feel the encroaching growth of government is doing.

I think this has a large part to do with the Democrats attaching themselves to the racial issue and using that to get a canidate into office. With the natural response from alot of closet case racists. And of course the divisionism that the two party system inherently entails. But don't get me wrong the whole thing A to Z is stupid.

Now thats a laugh! a sick laugh.
Yeah, it has nothing to with the porr undocumented ( sniff sniff), guy working for minimum wage, or less, plus no benefiets. And I'm sure glad so many jobs went to China and India! Oh, thats right, lower middle class people can sell stuff on E Bay!
Some freakin patriot.

You are right.
America is getting more and more polarized.
I see these extreme right wing groups have become ever more fearful and angry since they lost the election. When your very thought processes are based on fear, then what can you expect? Remember back when Bush was president and they were saying that to disagree with the president was unpatriotic? And now they are saying that to agree with the president is unpatriotic? I wish they would just come out and say what they really believe: They believe that to be liberal is to be unpatriotic.
