I don't pay the Illegal Income tax as descibed by any and all codes of the Unites States Go

actually the whole question of the 16th amendment went before the supreme court and it was upheld that it was a legal and binding amendment. even if it was never ratified correctly, the supreme court upheld it. i am having major trouble with the IRS and it has cost me 5100.00 so far to hire a company called taxmasters, and they are going to help me out, i hope. i can't wait to get this all over with. if ya want to help out the tax situation, help support the fairtax.

The law imposed for income tax (on labor) is illegal. The constitution
forbids it. However, the Sixteenth Amendment allowed it, and there is
an unsurmountable mountain of precedent to deal with.

If you do not pay your taxes, you will face a court of law. Out of
hundreds of cases few have won. The government plays with a loaded deck,
seizing your assets, making it nearly impossible to pay lawyer's fees and survive while your case is heard. However, if you could successfully seat a jury
instead of a government judge you might find a sympathetic ear in these times.

Nutshell:

1. Get a Tax Identification Number (TIN). Use it on your W-2 instead of a SSN. This removes Social Security withholding from your paycheck.

2. Check the "Exempt From Withholding" box on the W-2 (if you meet the qualifications). This removes Federal Income Tax withholding.

In five years my "Tax Debt" has been:

2004 - $50
2005 - $0
2006 - $7
2007 - $52
2008 - $19

I simply get a Certified Money Order and mail it. No tax would be great, but $19 is better than a couple thousand just disappearing from the money I paid in.

I could certainly see the idea of a person, who in this present economy has nothing, and no family to support, no hope of a job, just saying scew it, I'm not going to pay anymore. if you have nothing to lose, and don't mind the federal pen, go for it.

The reality of the situation is becoming clearer. With millions of people out of work, and unemployment running out, home forclosed on, can't afford rent, car reposessed, living on the street, what have they got to lose. three hots, and a cot, start looking good. And with no real end in sight to a depressed economy, if a person is by themselves, got for it.

In about 3 or 4 months, you will be hit with a $500 frivilous penalty. Then, approx 4 months after this you will be sent a letter stating how much you owe in taxes and penalties. They will calculate this based only on your income and will not take into account any deductions, since these are only applied if you file a return.

I went through this...ask me how it felt to be told you were going to go to prison if you didn't pay up. I settled and got out from it pretty quick because of the two tax rebates put out by Bush after 9/11. These were applied to the tax debt and eliminated the debt 2 years early.

Very, very, very few people have done this and pulled it off. Most people who don't pay end up in tax court and any "evidence" they have is discounted. In fact, the judge will tell the jury that they can't take any of your evidence into consideration. Tax court only has two outcomes...you paying or going to jail. The government loves to make an example out of people who do this.

If your tax debt is high or unpayable, consider an 'Offer in Compromise" and make arrangements to pay it off or have it eliminated.

You will not win and this will only unnecessarily add to the stress in your life.

I believe like you do, but the number of people who refuse to pay or don't pay is small. Now, it would be a different story if, say, 70% of the population who pay taxes stopped and objected to the rationale of treating services as income. Taxing profits...ok. Taxing me who trades my services for a WAGE...wrong.

However, didn't I read that this year has had the lowest amount (percentage?) paid in taxes since 1932? It's obvious that the system sucks. We have people in Congress wanting to audit the fed...good for them. Uncover the global conspiracy. And the tax code is part of this conspiracy in my opinion.

Most of this crap came about with Woodrow Wilson, who should go down in history as the worst POTUS. It is progressivism that brought us the tax code and the fed. And it is this progressive attitude and thinking that permeates most of the leading liberals and democrats in Congress today.

And it is this thinking that leads to elitism and socialism.

Star for you Common Sense! You are sooo right. I would like to tell IRS where to go as would we all, I'm sure. But this OP is in for a big surprise. If you are not going to pay taxes...just shut your trap and don't draw attention to yourself. I can see paying some tax because we need money for roads and schools and things like this, however the federal and state governments are getting out of hand. We are just incurring more debt and they are taxing higher thinking spending and taking is the way to go. I gross $637.00 a week and take home just over $500.00, that is a lot of money per week. These people don't know that if I had some of that money I would be able to buy things instead of struggle and if thousands of people did that, the economy would pick up. obama (who is not my president) is now talking about taxing the middle-class, soon it will work its way down to me and I will be readlly screwed. I can't afford to pay anymore taxes and they are just about to go up in NC. Then when tax time comes around I can only get back about $700 between state and federal. This is CRAZY and it is only getting worse. Not only is income taxes going up but they are putting more taxes on everything we buy so it is a double blind side. People need to wake up!!!!!!!! Lets think about this.....
If there were a minimum of years people can be on welfare instead of constantly dishing money out to these people, then there would be more money for other things. In NC if your on welfare the state will pay for you to have a CELL PHONE!!!!!! What the hell is that? There is more money that can be used for other things. We have all these illegal immagrants that can get state help, yet they aren't paying taxes.... Well, lets tax them and then there will be more money. I can go on and on with examples of wasted money that can be used in better ways, then we wouldn't have the taxes going up like crazy.
We are in a downward spiral and the fed. government is just making it worse.
Here is another example, "Cash for Clunkers" so the fed. government has once again "bailed" out the auto industry. Taking millions of dollars and putting it towards helping the large auto dealers. Why not take that money and give EVERYBODY (like me) tax breaks? Then we would be able to put more money into the economy.

Good luck to you, my friend. I really admire you for what you are doing. Unfortunately, I feel that although many of us feel exactly as you do, there is a feeling of hopelessness and futility that prevents us standing up for what is right.

Example: anyone earning an above average wage is unlikely to stand against the system. Any man with a young family is unlikely to take on the risks. Ambitious young career types are not going to want this kind of things on their CVs, so again, count them out......

Who is left? The poor, the unemployed and the powerless as usual. Those with absolutely nothing to lose. How can these types possibly take on the organised ranks and strength of government?

Like I said, I admire what you are doing, and would love to do something similar. But to be honest I'm too much of a coward, and just can't see what I could do which would make even the slightest impact. Sadly, this sense of futility will kill off any kind of movement before it even starts.

Taxes are fantastic. They pay for our roads and our schools. However, if they are collected in a manner involving extortion, then those responsible, including any voters who specifically vote to extort money, belong in prison. If you support involuntary taxes, you belong in prison with those who have stolen a stereo from the local Wal-Mart. I support physically forcing you into a jail cell. I guess we have our differences and would back them up with violence. The only difference is that there are more people that think like you so your violence wins. You force people like me into a jail cell even though people like you are the one doing the immoral extortion.

I could think of five ways a day to voluntarily collect taxes that don't involve extortion for the rest of my life. Yet you prefer extortion because even though it is more violent and immoral its a lot easier and involves less thinking.

When I buy a 40 cent stamp it is money going to the government. Imagine that... money I voluntarily give to the government. Of course the only reason there is a US post office is because they granted them self a monopoly. If you did the same exact thing it would be illegal... just like just about everything the government does. Anything they do... if you did the exact same thing you'd go to prison. Just try forcing people to register cars with you for cash and if they don't pay you steal their car and hold it until they pay an even bigger fine for giving you a hard time. See how quick you land in prison.

Its not just an outrage that the government is allowed to break their own rules... its a travesty of epic proportions that nearly 100% of what they do would land any person who copies them in prison.

What is the difference between the local mafia and the government? The government is bigger and voters, most of whom are complete idiots who spend 30 seconds or less figuring out how to vote, run the protection racket.

Romans 13 of the Christian bible says that because of a sense of conscientiousness we should pay our taxes. But if they are not voluntarily collected then there is just a sense of getting raped and my conscience tells me its plain and simple theft on a grand scale.

Today's government works like this... anything you could do that would land you in prison the government has a program where they allow them self to do that very thing. And you know what, many or even most voters support such things as sickening as that is.

Thou shalt not:
Murder - CIA Assasinations.
Steal - Involuntary taxes.
Rape - Prisons who do nothing to stop inmate rape.
Kidnap - Putting people in prison for victimless crimes.

The US Federal Government makes 90% of the people in prison look like cute little bunny rabbits. And I'm supposed to pay money for that? I'm beginning to wonder if my current paying of taxes is actually grossly immoral because its a bit like rewarding a criminal for their crimes.

I'm ready and willing to pay my taxes if they are collected in a manner consistent with common knowledge of right and wrong. Otherwise, it just may be wrong of me to actually pay the taxes.

Wait they GIVE them cell phones?! Since when is having a cell phone a necessity like food? WOW! That really annoys the crap out of me. I do agree about immigrants. TAX THEM! I live in FL and I have a few friends whose family members came here from Mexico and Cuba and they were GIVEN money when they got their citizenship to start their life. I was floored when they all told me this! I was born and got nothing but people can come here illegally, get assistance, take jobs away from citizens and get paid on top of that. How is that logical?!
All the taxes going up on things is getting a little insane! What I paid out in taxes when I worked retail management was ridiculous! They would take most of my check and then I still owed them later on around tax time. I use to get so pissed! I basically felt like I was working for half of my salary since they took all of it every week.
As far as "cash for clunkers" as soon as I saw it I said SCAM for them to bail out the auto industry even more. So now you get people in there to get "cash" for their clunker and then they turn around and buy a car from them and I guaranteed that "cash" they gave them for their clunker is tacked on somewhere on their new cars price. Its all a money making scam for them and a way to keep more people in debt.

I don't understand... if you don't have a job, why are you declaring that you won't pay income taxes? Or Social Security taxes?

If you do get a job and make less than $18K or so a year, you don't pay income tax anyway.

I'm not sure if you know this, but you can claim as many exemptions at your place of employment as you like. Even if you are single, you can claim 5 exemptions. Obviously you will have very very little fed and state tax deducted. But when you file the following January, it has to add up or you will owe. Whether or not you pay what you owe is voluntary I suppose.

Obama is printing MORE funny money to give the car dealers.

I ask everyone: Has Obama done anything to help YOU? He keeps bailing out the corporate b*stards, and the irresponsible car manufacturers, but what has he done for the people who voted him into office?

Since he can print funny money anytime he likes, I want a stimulus check of at least two thousand dollars. I pay more than twice that in federal income tax alone in one year. I want something thrown MY way for a CHANGE.

many people have tried and only a handful succeeded. You can try ,like my father, and end up oweing the Gov. tens of thousands, have them garner your wages, and even go so far to REMOVE MONIES STRAIGHT FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! OR, you can just pay your taxes and get those nice little checks around April/may. Trust me, its not worth the hassle that the government has put my father through. Income tax is wrong, even several tax agents know this, but the government is gonna get their money one way or another and they could careless if it ruins you. Take this for whats its worth but if you do decide to fight the system good luck, im rooting for you
