Dealership hit list released Thursday

www.14wfie.com

Car dealers descended on Washington Wednesday, upset about plans to close 3,400 General Motors and Chrysler dealerships as part of the Obama administration auto bailouts.

Dealers said it's a bad idea that will cost jobs, hurt sales, and change some communities forever.

Almost sure to close is the Arnold dealership that's sold Pontiacs and GMC trucks since 1926.

"It'll impact the community," Bob Arnold with Arnold Pontiac - GM said. "There's no question about that."

So part of the Obama administration auto bailouts is to close 3,400 General Motors and Chrysler dealerships?

Is this going to give jobs, or take jobs away?

I wonder what in the world is in Obama, and his administration's head..

First Janet Napolitano and the DHS claim that Americans who believe in the Constitution are "possible terrorists, alongside anyone who doesn't like Communist dictatorships, alongside anyone who is a vet, alongside many other valueswhich are American, and the forefathers of this Great Republic made as part of the building blocks of the Republic.

Now the Obama administration wants to close thousands of dealerships, which means many tens of thousands of jobs would be lost..

This is getting beyond craziness.

Not only the warnings of the right, but the warnings of people who have gone through this type of crazy economy/political party which ended up with Communism despite claims that it was only Socialism, but hey the left always wanted to dismiss, and ignore people who have lived under Communist doctrines, and other similar dictatorships and the left wanted to believe dictators like Castro, and Chavez, and they have as idols murderers like Che Guevara...

It makes since to me and a good investment, if those dealerships aren't bringing in the money then why keep them open?

If they didn't close any of their dealerships then i'm sure alot more people would be loosing their jobs than a few thousand due to bankruptcy.

The fact that are you only bashing the left speaks volumes of your ignorance.

Their is no single party issue, this has to do with 2 partys that have been slowly ripping this nation to shreds over the decades.

It doesn't make any sense at all. Closing thousands of dealerships means tens of thousands of people will lose their jobs, which makes the economy worse.

Without money people won't buy cars...

This is probably a scheme to either introduce some new "Al Gore" delearship type of car, so some new rich person gets the riches, or this is being done to undermine the economy even more.

the Obama administration is at least Socialist, if not worse, which means they want as many Americans as possible wanting to be dependent of the government so they can implement their SOcialist plans even more.

All the companies that had to lay off people because of the economy issues didn't get special considerations. The people got laid off because the companies made mistakes.

These guys shouldn't get any different treatment.

I wonder if you would say the same if it was your dad, or mom who lost their jobs, or several of your relatives lost those jobs...

It is kind of easy to make such statements at 16 years old without knowing exactly what you are implying.

These tens of thousands of people, are Americans who are, or will lose their jobs, do you understand what compasion for your fellow Americans means?

You aren't making any sense at all.

Let me try to explain this.

Plan A:If Chrysler was to leave all these dealerships open then they would go bankrupt and it wouldn't be just the dealerships losing jobs, it would be the plants, car part makers, etc. for that company.

Out come of plan A which is what you seem to endorse: Everyone loses their jobs.

But Chrysler isn't doing that which means that all the people that make parts for chrysler, who work in the car factorys and even most of the dealerships are staying open.

Outcome of plan B: Some dealerships close most get to keep their jobs.

How does that not make since?

And seriously dude, if your going to blame this all on the left you aren't even worth debating, because your are obviously embracing ignorance with that one.

Is that why there are Socialist programs being implemented in the United States?

The Republican party has made many mistaks, and one of them is to allow leftist taking seat in the Republican party.

The United States was doing well until since Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat president, signed into law the Federal Reserve Act, and ever since the United States has not been the same and Capitalism has been undermined by Socialist programs which have let the world down to this road in which there is a world eonomic crisis.

You want to talk about ignorance ignoring the fact that Socialist programs are the real problem why the world is in the current crisis?

Yes you are embracing ignorance. I don't see how anyone wouldn't think this is a good plan, I explained to you how this works out, you ignored.
Your argument thur argument that this is a bad plan failed and you still haven't tried to refute, if you have a better plan besides keeping dealerships open that don't bring in any income then i'm all ears. But historically this is how businesses stay afloat, it's commons sense man.

Try looking at the bigger picture, you seem smart enough.

Nope, sorry that doesn't slide in the least.

Instead of bailing out banks, and bankers, and instead of losing 9 trillion of American tax dollars, which were given to these multibillionares, the bailouts should have been for companies employing people, not to rich bankers which puts the economy in more dire straights....

That's what makes sense. losing tens of thousands of jobs with the already thousands, if not tens of thousands of jobs lost, means people don't have money, which means they don't spend money, which means more jobs would be lost, and would leave us in a similar cycle of jobs being lost, and regular Americans becoming poorer, and poorer...

It does get tiresome when the real ignorant people try to claim someone else is "ignorant" when that someone else gives an alternative plan, and shows them what has been happening in a country such as the U.S.

The free market does not stay afloat long when the free market is stucked in a paper economy, which another Democrat president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, outlawed American citizens from owning gold, and made the economy dependent on paper backed by empty promises.

The economy was set up not to be strong for long for obvious motives.
