It's not a harddrive, it's a portable media solution to replace dvds and such.

I didn't notice the other thread, feel free to delete this one.

They have been around a long time,just not cheap enough for mass production.

I was reading the "History" of 3D optical storage and was blown away to read this tech has been around since the 50's.

Makes me wonder what sort of things are being worked on right now that we wont hear anything about for another half century. It also makes me wonder where can I find out about these things? Surely there is some crazy cool future-tech newsletter or something?
