Engrish The Two Towers Captions

This webpage celebrates the wonderful engrish subtitles featured in an asian bootleg DVD of Lord of The Rings - The Two Towers. What you see is exactly what appears on the TV screen. The first half of the movie has the most screengrabs, as there is more action than talking later on, and the subtitle writers eventually started getting the name of the characters right.

...heres something kinda random...a little side-issue to the post...

HERE is a link to a webcam set up looking over Courtney Place...a street in our city (Wellington) here in New Zealand.

In the shot (which refreshes every few seconds) you can see a set of traffic lights a little further down the road. Just through those lights is a white/creamy coloured old-looking 3-storey building. That building is the Enbassy Theatre...the place where the World Premiere of 'LotR - Return of the King' will be held.

During the screening season of LotR - Fellowship of the Ring, it featured a 30ft Cave Troll standing on the 'awning' at the front door, holding a huge club above its head. At present, if you look you can see a HUUUUUUGE Smeagol peering over the top of the 2nd storey of the building, with his hand reaching over the roof...below on the awning is a large revolving gold ring...

...might wanna check back later when its light...as its 9.15pm here in NZ at present...looks awesome...

Peace,
ALIEN
