Yah... of course. Never mind that prior to 2006 you couldn't call from a cell phone from 30,000 ft. It was too far away for the cell towers (which may or may not have been present in the mountains below) to receive their signal.
Ah yes the old idiotic cell phones dont work from planes rant.....
One problem was not calling using a cell phone, but an AIRFONE. Air Fones were specifically designed to
work from aircraft in flight - which is why they were called AIRFONES and installed on airliners!
Only last 2 calls out of 37 made from the plane were made with cell phones (Cee Cee Lyles/Ed Felt) - by which
time plane was at altitude of 7000- 8000 ft. Cell towers in that region of Pennsylvania are on mountains at
elevatiion of 3000 ft .
Two Bingham was calling his mother who was visiting her brother (his uncle) house - how would he know who
would pick up the phone?
Three - his mother, Alice Hoagland, said often adressed people in that fashion
So who to believe - his mother or idiotic conspiracy site....?
