although the verdict is not out yet, and we certainly should not be pointing fingers at anyone as yet...it is interesting to note that there is
precedence for the use of fire/brushfire in islamist jurisprudence and history. During the confrontation between muslims and christians,
islamist/jihadists lighted brushfire upwind from crusader camps so that the smoke and ashes would disable the heavily armored crusader and the lightly
dressed and nimble jihadist would then route the crusaders and killed them mightily.
Islamic chroniclers also report on how Mohammad had commanded that the date palms and fruit trees and groves of the Banu Quraish Jews be burnt to the
ground in order to starve them during the siege of their towns. This was in gross contradiction to the rules of warfare in those days where the
destruction, even of the enemies' source of sustenance is forbidden ! Indeed in pre Islamic times this was consisdered a most Cardinal of Sin.
Since muslims are enjoined to emulate the prophet, who is even called al INSAAN UL KAMAAL= THE BEST AMONG MEN!...It is not unreasonable for them to
emulate all the dastardly behaviour of Mohammad who in reality was a warlord cum prophet?.....therefore the use of brushfire, the poisoning of wells,
and the destruction of food supplies of the enemies of islam or the kuffaars in the Dar ul Harb/ house of war ( islam separates humanity into we
against you..SAD) cannot be ruled out as there is precedence for such evil acts in islamic jurisprudence under the concept of an eye for an eye, or
even for permission to destroy the unbelievers who are 'the worst of creatures in the sight of Allah' ( to paraphrase their sacred text).
