This is nothing major but I just couldn't let it go.

The new 2012 forum is advertised at the top of every page in bright yellow.
However it is grouped within the "Mysterious Subjects" forums which are all green.
Not only that but the threads themselves are in the pale yellow that is the color for many other forums.

This is bothersome. Not a lot but a little.

Can we please make a decision on this.

There are many decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing. I only mention this because I care.

You say they are as tasty but they're not. I can tell.

Plus I have high ambitions for my color bar and I won't know which way it is pantoning if I post in there.

That is impressive. I have never heard Pantone verbed before.

I understand and share your concern. Hopes for a speedy resolution and disambiguation.

Hasn't it been established that the board category color is the color bar influencer, not the thread color in recent posts? Or, perish the thought, banner links?

That's a whole another mystery.

Right, I now see that the subtle approach is not gonna work.

This color disambiguation is unacceptable.
Please somebody do something.

Holding my breath in 3, 2, 1, ....

Edit to assist the overnight staff: disambiguation

I can recommend an Organic Decaf Coffee if you like? It tastes pretty good - I enjoy it better then regular non-fair trade coffee actually. (And I'm a sucker for a good cup of Dark Roast and/or 100% Columbian).

As a member who has OCD when it comes to formatting and continuity, I can understand your concern for the color-scheme.

Thank you.

You know I'm half joking with this but the truth is that it is messed up.

The color of the 2012 link at the top of every page, the color of the thread title in the "recent posts" page and the color of the forum in which it belongs should be harmonized. Since the forum is in the "Mysterious Subjects" group I assume the common color should be the green.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying ....

I have OCD myself. Have you heard of Cognitive Behavorial Therapy? If not, CBT .

I actually think it is nice and practical that 2012 has the same color as The Grey Area and the political threads... Not excactly my favorite subjects, any of them.

Brown = Stay away!

Works fine for me.

Ziggy I could flag you all night.
That makes perfect sense.

But for this tiny flaw ...

Why then can't the link at the top of every page and the forum itself go eggshell.
I agree and appreciate how you have connected the dots, but he dots themselves are still polypantominal.

OK, OK, I admit it. I have absolutely no idea what "polypantominal" means. Didn't manage to find it out, either.

And I seem to have lost my translator helmit...

Think this ...

Thank you, my friend. I was beginning to feel abnormally stupid there for a while. Started to wonder if aliens had abducted half my brain during the night.

Now I am back to just being my normal, stupid self.

Well, that's the beauty of conceptualized relative and dogmatically based interpretational observation.

It always works itself out to your pre-disposed advantage.

If only colors were that elastic.

A man after my own OCD ridden heart.

Another thing: All the forum icons have a themed image in front of a manila folder but the new Middle East Issues, the Bully Pulpit, and the 2012 forum icons only consist of the themed image without the manila folder.

I'm so glad you saw that.
It's like they lost the template for the 3D forum icons.
And now we have to deal with these 2D square icons.
Add to that the above mentioned color tragedy.
Why is this happening Ash?
