Why Israel is Attacking Gaza Now: "They Want It To Be Over Before The Next Administration Comes In"

Israeli’s leading paper, Ha’aretz, writes:

Sources in the defense establishment said Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the operation over six months ago, even as Israel was beginning to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. According to the sources, Barak maintained that although the lull would allow Hamas to prepare for a showdown with Israel, the Israeli army needed time to prepare, as well.

Therefore, it is certain that Israel’s massacre in Gaza is not related to any specific recent rocket attacks by Hamas.

So why did Israel choose this moment to attack Gaza?

Quite interesting article actually. I actually was talking to family today on the timing and one of the Obama supporters in the family said exactly what this article is saying. That it is very possible the Obama with AIPAC was just a show but Obama does not intend on having the same undying support for Israel. Then again Im sure he wont have it for most of our allies due to our economic situation you know the one that says we are bankrupt. So is this Israel just trying to get the dirty work done before Obama gets in?

Israel has an election in February and this may be political posturing. The current leaders were seeing as weak as far as their dealing with Hamas. Obama is one person and Israel still has a lot of friends in Congress.

Israel had a lot of ordnance on hand, awaiting the 'go-ahead' to hit the
Iranian nuclear facilities, awaiting the 100% sure counter attacks by either Hamas internally or by the Hezbollah across the border.

Old arms & ordnance requires safe storage & handling... So....
i'm certain that Israel had already put in the requests for resupply
from the Pentagon, before the first artillary shot was fired on Gaza.
(a change of mission)

but you know that type of State Department & Pentagon paperwork will
be classified

The whole world doesn't turn on Obama. He's just a Bildeberger tool.
Other issues are in play. I'm sure they are classified and we'll never know.

Well, i do not understand the reason for ground invasion right now. But out of all billion options - "ordnance needs to be used" one is probably most improbable. Iran is far. It needs precise bunker-busting missiles/fuel/aircrafts/intelligence.
Iranian itelligence is no help in Gaza.
Bunker busters are not being used in Gaza.
Aircrafts are - but their expiration date is decades.
Fuel is too - again it has very long expiration date.
And shells,tanks ,soldiers that are in Gaza now - would never get to Iran. Unless Israel unlocked teleportation secrets.
