As a man, I am forced to concede the walls in my home to the superior female gender and allow my better half to decorate the walls. However, I've made a stand and taken back the office and hung the pictures that I want. It was an uphill battle.. but alas, victory!

Over the course of about a year I've been selecting different pictures to hang, and yesterday I picked up one that seems to have filled my walls. I'll see if I can find a few online to show.

Here are a few that I have hanging...

Show us some of your own.

Chiss, I love the Manhattan pic. It looks like my screen saver.

I'm not really much for decorating. (Yes, you read a woman state that).
But the few pictures I do have up are all of animals.
Mostly Tigers, leopards, and elephants.

The majority of my art is Kiakshuk, with a couple of pieces by some other lesser known Inuit artists. I couldn't find any of the pieces I have online, but this is what Kiakshuk's work looks like.

Here are a few that I have hanging in my office.

These are the only ones I can find copies of online, the others I would have to take pictures of myself to show you.

I don't really have a heck of a lot of my own stuff hanging up yet. Most of it's in storage but I hope to get it out within a couple of weeks or so. My housemate has a bunch of Vin Diesel movie posters hanging around but I plan on decorating my own room just as I please. I've only got two things hanging at the moment.

One is a fantasy picture of a woman wearing a long dress, an owl on her shoulder and a red dragon semi curled up behind her.

The other thing is a Deson Original. It's a Science Fiction black and white drawing of mine. It's got a Science Fiction style castle or housing complex surrounded by a wall with definably non-earth trees and plants around it with a pair of mountains in the background. The buildings could be best described as three buildings. A central roughly mushroom shaped building and a pair of towers one on each side. There is a Covered tunnel running to the wall as well. Once I can locate my cable for connection my little digital camera I'll post a pic of it.

In storage I have several prints from Susan van camp The link takes you directly to one of her works that I have.

One thing I know for sure though is once I get my stuff out of storage my room will probably end up being decorated rather oddly let's just say.

Edit to add:

This is another one of hers that I have as well.

Edited again to add:

Found my cable to my cheapo digital camera and snapped a quick pic of the drawing. I'll admit it ain't perfect by any means but I can take comfort in knowing that there isn't another one just like it in the world and that it's my own hand artwork.

A few more...

Some of kiddos

U.S.A. Yarn art.

City from the upside or Container ship inbound
(not really sure.... but I call it New York)

Space shuttle?

I asked my child to paint me a picture. This is what I got. I call it "Wyoming" conversely, "Storm"

ok, this one is mine, too: it's been modified. It used to have reindeer ears and read "GOT HEAT?" as it was day 10 or so in the snow near christmans time with the power out and the city or power company had every block around us on but our block. I put it out on the road way. I spent two days crazy from freezing painting it just because I was crazy, and then, with my neighbors rallying thier own crazies- I thought I'd throw out there on the road side in case people didn't know as they drove by in their benz's all nice and warm home to their fire pits and warm meals. The power came on a day later. It probably had nothing to do with "got heat?", but I'll always remember the experience and be grateful for old cans of paint, candles, coffee and a campstove.

edit: add "wyoming/storm"
