Major Bolide Forecast Tonight; No Damage Expected

well its now Oct 7th 3:47 am GMT. no news flashes yet. one hour out so far.

and i hear nothing on the news about any imminent incoming impact.

Depends on its composition. It could just pulverize as soon as it hits the atmosphere... a very bright flash and long lived debris cloud could ensue.

If its made out of strong stuff, it could last for tens of seconds, and streak across the sky from horizon to horizon if you are in the right place (and they could be off by a bit I suspect).

This thing should be visible for 500 km or so either side of its track, so anyone who is in Africa/Europe/Middle East/USA should keep their eyes peeled.

I didn't see anything. Anybody else?

Come on dude. You can pretty much be sure that it did absolutely nothing. No news...ive looked on all the major world-wide outlets and nothing. Go back to bed-this was just another ATS thread about something that MIGHT kill us all LOL.

We did invest a certain amount of time in this.

There was a 2% chance that it would miss.......maybe it did?
No news is good news right...MNF is still on .....that is good.

I amcertain there will be footage, it will just take some time. Wonder if we could get some live news from sudan or durfur?

I bet someone is working a video now for the UFO forum showing a laser
coming from space and destroying it just before atmosphere entry.

Thing probably burned so high up there is no good photos/video of it. Im still trying to figure out why it got SO much publicity and attention here on ATS when none of the major news outlets were reporting.

Oops!!! Now i know why. Because it was a non-event. If the news reported every time a freakin meteor burned up in out atmosphere there would be nothing else on. Its only the folks on here who wanted to make this out to be some catastrophic event is why its even being talked about.

Someone3 found this thing with a telescope..... I doubt those that found it just ran off to the john or went to bed and let their telescopes point to the ground...

Their should be some telescope footage somewhere or at least a report by some armature astronomers ...

Well i guess its safe to say that if someone found this with their "telescope" and now we havent heard anything from them, then they didnt see anything. Im just throwing that out there.
