Looks to me like the future is all idealism and computer graphics. Pie-in-the-sky nonsense. Someone tell those visionaries to get a job!

Ridiculous, the visionaries aren't offering any solutions, they just imagine the future where these solutions already exist!

I see it as a corruption of Roddenberry's view. His vision of the future preserved humanity, he always favored human work over delegating to machines, he favored difference and tolerance over a homogenous society. The narrator in this video even says personal philosophy is not important and all religious belief systems should be abandoned. Rather naive, dictatorial, and as undo said communistic.

Haven't watched it yet, but from what I'm hearing so far, it sounds like the way they've been describing the bailout bill, a marshmallow in the middle of a cow pie. It may have a few good points in the vid, but it's probably cluttered with tremedous mounds of crap, like the first video. The first vid insulted my intelligence, I can't begin to describe how utterly false the first few parts of the first vid was, some of the latter parts of the first vid were pretty close to the truth, but gee wiz, those people have never read any ancient mythology or any ancient texts.

Hope this one is better, sounds like it's about the money system we have with little doses of communism, I believe in voluntary socialism, only because if I choose to share, than I'm actually sharing, I should'nt have to be forced to share, that would be stealing from me. Socialism should be a choice, NEVER EVER government implemented.

Hi There,

Just watched the movie and am downloading it to share amongst those whom I know. It isn't up to me to be persuasive as to the truth of the information conveyed in the film, as it will only come across as mere opinion...something that may seem contentious and conspiratorial, instantly turning ears to the system's hum.

The information leaping out from the abstractions of the frames is not something that can be told to anyone whose muzzle is down munching the grass, they have to experience a cognition of the situation, they have to awaken to the feeling of the catastrophe unravelling. Then, and only then, will the information resonate with them, make sense and aid them to their empowerment of unplugging from the matrix of the current system, whose hum lulls them in their daily life of sleepwalking their way to the rendezvous where their birth and death meet. A pointless, unpurposeful life.

During the seventies and eighties it was oft' stated that mankind was at the cusp of a new dawn, something of a shift in consciousness...well, I would say we have tipped through that cusp, and now have within our cognition the direction we must take if our species is to survive. We must change our societal direction at a severe tangent to that we are currently living. We whom are alive and passing through these contemporary dynamic times are to become the founders of our children's future.

We ourselves have to unplug from the system, not enmasse, but individually or as family units, and change the direction of our own lives. This does not mean not participating in the current society, but doing so differently, we have to change ourselves incrementally, we have to perceive each other, the real people/person behind the mask of nation identity, beholding only that which we are, and not that which others want us to be for their profit or agenda. We must become transparent to ideologies that separate us, to creeds that formulate us, herd us, corall us into boxes of types and memes. We are 'individual', and it is our individuality that shaped our past, and which will shape the future for our children.

The better future is not for us alive today, but for our descendents, ours is to reshape the matrix, to turn the system around to that mirroring that of our heart and conscience. It is not a utopian society that we seek to prepare, but simply a society whose germ was seeded 300 years ago at the founding of a new nation. We have our template in the sufferings to which we are exposed daily, and it is the opposite of that. If we do not take the step to found a new and better future now, they will possibly be no future at all in our life time.

Best wishes

I had no idea they were coming out with another one! Sweet, I can't wait to watch it today!

Also, I am much more in line with communistic and socialistic philosophies, so those comments just fired my interest evermore

Why does the Venus Project website have a store?
Why a pop up that asks to order a DVD?
I was very excited about finding out more but I am very turned off that the website is based on a "monetary" system, doesnt this go against everything the film says?
And check out the prices...is anyone honest at all on this planet?

If as many people watch it as they did the first one, perhaps the word will spread about our corrupt money system keeping us in perpetual slavery to our unseen masters. But hell, even if enough people opened their eyes that this became discourse on the 6 o'clock news, what exactly would we be able to about it? Seems to me that we'd need to pull down the entire system and start from square one; that wouldn't be a popular notion and people are inherently fearful of change, not to mention lazy.

If change did come IMO it would come in the form of a revolution rather than a slow and peaceful evolution. It would take 100 years otherwise to somehow reorganize our entire society and all of our worldly possessions so that everything would somehow balance out at the end of the day. I can't even image a way that you'd be able to do that, there'd be too many conflicts over who owns what and why they should continue to when we're talking about loans, debts, credit and such.

Ultimately it needs to be done, what we need is a leader or cooperation of leaders with the power and resources to organize the rest of us in an effort to bring about the necessary changes. Someone privately wealthy and not apart of the system. Those things are sort of contradictory but maybe someone who's seen the inner workings of the system for what it is and defected as a result, exists out there...

You know I just watched 45 minutes based on the venus project and was ready, willing and able to jump on and support this project and I am not easily swayed.
It really makes me angry, frustrated and completely overwhelmed that even the supposed good guys are still suspect at best.

5 Stars from me

Very well made. Considering this was a personal project not a studio project it's a masterpiece.

As per usual the argument against is always "they didn't offer enough solutions" or "sounds like a distorted version of communism". So typical of our time. Like what we have right now is sooo good. Go live in Somalia or Ethiopia for a while and come back and tell me everything is just hunky dory. People just cannot think for themselves, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is expected to be hand delivered on a platter complete with instruction manuals.

This film does what it is supposed to do. Make people think. Inspire conversation.

Our system is not working. If people can't understand this then they are part of the problem. Too caught up in the world of ism's and ist's to be able to see the forest for the trees.

Awesome movie! just as good as the first. I recommend everyone watch them both because it is sooo important. Sadly though i think it is too late for us to do anything, although many people are opening their eyes every day.

Solutions are being offered. To begin with our technology already exists, and many are already trained in various skills that would be useful. The changes are to not participate with the system, and when possible with the banking system. Currently we elect one of the 2 or 3 suggested dictators. I've often thought that jury duty management in regions would make more sense, and especially if an advanced form of equality and a resource community was the basis of society. Then people would be educated well, and be able to serve in administration with a lot more imput from the community, along with growth, rather than adherance to outdated policies that didn't work in the past except to enslave others. We would move ahead rather than stay like outdated dinosaurs in our system that keeps rehashing the same rigid controls and has tied us into harmful and destructive energies and outdated technology. And the solution of non-participation is a very good one. With critical mass being reached, if we can spread this video and others in a series of town presentations that are advertised locally, we will see changes politically, or even a massive general strike or stand off against the system. I really think its necessary to form local groups and work on each area. Its not just about the imminent financial collapse, or martial law, or any number of catastrophes, its about educating each area with what to do in case it collapses, how to meet up, how to set up communities in safe spots should something happen, how to pool what little resources we may have at that point, and especially how to be keepers of the knowledge, and for us this means clean energy, science and technology being preserved. So groups shouldn't just be about imminent dangers, but there as an emergency response team for the average person in the event that something does go down. But the process would end up educating enough for critical mass to be reached and effect changes, I believe, which should also be one of the goals.

I thought it was a great documentary.
I kinda knew most of what they were talking about but it's nice for someone to put it all together and put it all out there.

It is not as good as the first one, the first one blew this out of the water, this is a commercial to promote the Venus project. The Venus projects website is highly marketed, they are even selling 1/2 million dollar real estate from the site. Very fancy and exclusive that only the upper crust could afford.
Don't you guys see it?
Yes the first half of the movie everyone should know, it is highly informative. The second half is a marketing ploy imo and I am totally ticked that I wasted that energy getting excited about a possible solution only to see it is the same old crap.

Invaluable information. This is totally in line with my current world view and is serious ammunition for all of humanity. I suggest we all fire out the link across the web as much as we can. Additionally, I'll be signing up to the website when it goes online at...

thezeitgeistmovement.com...

Thanks for letting us all know about this one.

For the venus project to be developing in the current financial situation, it would have to have a viable business model. But they are about is the complete opposite, for they support a world wide moneyless society that provides for every single person, and it is very much like this thread: abovetopsecret.com... which is a remarkable one, by someone who really impressed me when I first began to research ufology online in earnest. What the venus project is doing currently is forced upon them due to the current system, it is not the heart of what their project promotes.

I have not watched it yet. Did you like the second half as much as the first half? Some are saying it was a commercial for the Venus Project, etc.
